Compared with the hotels in Huangshan, I have to give a thumbs up to Huizizai Inn. First of all, the overall design of this inn is very unique, and its temperament is independent. It is themed with bamboo, tea, and ink, which are the favorites of literati. It has the cultural connotation of Anhui! Secondly, the service is also very thoughtful. The check-in lady immediately sent fruits and Tremella soup, which tasted quite good. Although there are not many choices for breakfast, the quality of each item is very high. The side dishes are delicious, the noodles and wontons have the taste of home, the tableware is clean, the aunt is kind, and most importantly, the scenery outside the window is refreshing!

My family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise. The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site. One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days. At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us. Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

As an authentic Huizhou native who left home when I was young, I came to Hongcun and met Zhang Gongguan for the first time, but I was amazed by the whole ink painting Qingming. After walking through the streets and alleys, I finally found the low-key house number. I opened a small door and opened a paradise. The antique Ming and Qing Dynasty old houses, restored in the Hui-style style, and simple and elegant furniture make people feel like they have traveled through time and space and returned to the prosperous ancient Huizhou of the past. In the front hall and back yard, the centuries-old mottled walls are paired with the black and white colors of Qingming rain, but it also has a sense of vicissitudes like ”in the old days, when kings went to the hall and swallows flew into the homes of ordinary people”, it was as if they were in a Chinese ink painting. This is an old house with a history of 300 years. It is located in the core scenic area of ​​Hongcun. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to Moon Marsh. There are many types of guest rooms with different styles. Almost all of them feature Chinese retro style. The carved wooden beds, wooden couches and dressing tables are all antique designs. The calligraphy, paintings and porcelain in the room highlight the famous Hui school. The door is an antique wooden door latch. key. The facilities in the bathroom are absolutely high-end. Dyson hair dryers and Hermès bath products are both rich in history and considerate. The owner lives with his guests and has four cats, several courtyards, and a beautiful swimming pool. The guests can drink tea and relax while leaning on the garden view. The butler's service was extremely attentive. He asked about the soundproofing at night, prepared a heart-warming breakfast in the morning, took our luggage all the way from the parking lot to the CI, dragged our luggage up the narrow stairs of the old house, and used a small electric donkey to carry our luggage again before we left. Return to the parking lot. I want to say here that the wooden stairs in the old Hui-style houses are narrow and shaky, and the sound insulation between the rooms is not very good. If you come to immerse yourself in the old house life, don’t complain and pay more attention to yourself. In short, this place really made my impression of Hongcun become more beautiful and full of nostalgia. It is undoubtedly the best private hotel in the village, and it feels like a dream that I will never wake up from.

The service is good. When it rains, the store helps hold an umbrella and carry luggage. The room is just like the picture. The children sleep in the small attic. The adults are very satisfied downstairs. You can see the village view from the rooftop. There are a lot of delicious food at the door. The scenery is very beautiful!

The first choice for families with young babies! It is especially convenient to live directly in Hongcun. The boss does not have to worry about the luggage. The boss’s cooking is delicious and you can order it in advance~ The decoration of the whole homestay is very beautiful, and you can stay here for a few days. The children watched cats and dogs in Hongcun to accompany me to the coffee shop. There is also Lu Village not far away. I watched the ducks for another afternoon, close to nature and breathe fresh air.

The boss was very enthusiastic and picked us up at the station. It is more convenient to stay in a B&B in the scenic area and the location is easy to find. We live on the first floor. The only disadvantage is that it is not very soundproof. There is a lot of noise when walking around upstairs. Everything else is Good

First of all, we have to praise the owner of Minsu Hotel. He was very responsive to our requests. He helped us with our luggage, arranged carpooling, and asked us if we needed to change our supplies (because we stayed there for two consecutive days). Secondly, the decoration style of Minsu Hotel is also great. You can see the staggered eaves through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The mattress is very comfortable to sleep on, and the quality of the toiletries is also very good. If there is any shortcoming, it is that the induction mirror is too sensitive. For girls who love to be pretentious, there is a lack of a makeup mirror and a full-length mirror.

The hotel is in the scenic area, the closest B&B to the northwest gate. We finished climbing Mount Huangshan for a day yesterday, and when we arrived at the hotel at around 7 o'clock, the housekeeper enthusiastically asked us to wait where we were because he was worried that we would be hard to find. He also specially drove a tricycle to pick us up. Carrying our luggage, we were introduced to relevant information about Hongcun on the way, and the service was very enthusiastic. The facilities are very new, clean and tidy. It is on a busy street but not noisy at night. Compared with the B&Bs further inside, the main focus of travel is convenience! It is only 100 meters away from the big tree at the entrance of the village.

Great location in the middle of Hongcun, but feels like a calm oasis. The interior is very comfortable and tasteful. There’s a great courtyard where you can hang out, have tea, and chat with other guests. The owner and family who run the place were extremely gracious and hospitable. Great recommendations and knowledge and just generally kind and nice to speak with. Highly recommend this place.
