GGuest UserWe totally recommend this hotel. It's in a beautiful old building, very well preserved and refurbished, and in a great location: in the Xidi old town, but a little bit more isolated, in the more quiet and less touristy area. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very stylish, it even had a tiny annexed studio room with desk and interesting books with a good kettle and tea set available. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a very nice bathtub and heated toilet. Our host was super nice and helpful, he came to pick us up and dropped us at the bus station at the end of our stay. He's really friendly and gave us some nice tips on visiting the surrounding villages. He has a very cute dog and a cuddly cat :) Only negative comment: the room's window is on the side of the main road, so you can hear all the cars passing by. But even then, a great stay!

GGuest UserI've stayed at Qingyin Caolu multiple times, and every visit has been a great experience! The owners are incredibly warm and attentive, from helping with luggage transfers to assisting with itinerary planning. The rooms are clean and spacious, with complete and new facilities. The wooden structure feels sturdy and soundproof, and some room types even come with a balcony offering fantastic views. The guesthouse's courtyard is large and elegant, and the common areas have a charming antique feel. It's conveniently located near the scenic area exit and major attractions, making it easy to get around while still being away from the hustle and bustle. Plus, there are adorable cats to keep you company. It's a truly comfortable and pleasant stay – a must-stay when visiting Hongcun!

GGuest UserTraveling with 2 of my friends on a fun girls trip! This was such an amazing location. We went from a sad and boring hotel in Beijing to this fantastic location and suddenly the whole trip was more fun and much more interesting. The host met us at the entrance to Hongcun and carried our luggage in the back of his little vehicle as we followed him around quaint buildings and through a narrow cobblestone walkway which was perfect for walking and pretty impressive to drive thru without scratching anything. After the beautiful walk we came through the most beautiful circle archway and into the cutest courtyard. We rented the room with a queen bed downstairs and 2 full beds up in the loft. The rooms were so cute we had to hide our luggage to do a full video tour to show our families before unpacking. The beds have mattress toppers which helped soften up the beds for us Americans. The host was very helpful and I would suggest getting WeChat to translate if you don’t speak Chinese. I don’t but it was easy to communicate. I would definitely stay at here again. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserHighly recommended B&B! The location is wonderfully secluded, and the rooms are cozy and tastefully decorated in a Japanese style. The courtyard is very thoughtfully designed; every photo you take turns out beautifully. Most of the staff are *******, and they are incredibly warm and welcoming. Having just returned from a trip to Tibet this year, I felt an instant connection 🥰. I especially have to mention the B&B's dinner. We originally planned to eat in Hongcun but couldn't find a restaurant we liked, so we decided to head back to the B&B (they even offer shuttle service to Hongcun!). We pre-ordered our meal with the manager, so it was ready when we got back. We ordered stinky mandarin fish, free-range chicken soup, and stir-fried eggs with stone ear fungus. Every dish was made with super fresh ingredients and tasted absolutely amazing, especially the chicken soup. It was definitely made with free-range chicken, something you just can't find in Shanghai – so delicious! The portions were generous too; we couldn't finish it all. The manager even suggested saving the rest for chicken noodle soup the next morning. Wow, such thoughtful service! They also gave us a parting gift when we left. I love the atmosphere here and every single staff member. If you're coming to Tachuan, choose to stay here – you definitely won't regret it!

GGuest UserAs soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner recognized me. Yes, I was the tourist who bought the Hongcun ticket just for the B&B. The owner even mistakenly thought I was from Hong Kong, haha! However, this trip to Hongcun really exceeded my expectations. Different from the online comments on Hongcun's commercial tourism, I personally think that Hongcun is a place worth slowly immersing yourself in and experiencing quietly. When it comes to accommodation, the proprietress is really a very meticulous person. She is almost demanding in her hygiene requirements and will double check every sanitary blind spot. I was also very moved by her entrepreneurial story. Seeing her constantly learning and improving herself (including emotional management, communication skills, and even learning live streaming), I could deeply feel her enthusiasm and dedication to providing thoughtful service to every guest. Speaking of food, the proprietress’s cooking skills are also amazing, especially her stinky mandarin fish, chestnut chicken and hairy tofu, each of which makes people unable to help but praise it! These authentic delicacies will definitely be unforgettable once you have tasted them. In addition, the service provided by the boss and his wife was also touching. The boss personally took me to the express delivery point to send the express, and the boss's wife personally accompanied us to take the bus and helped us with our luggage. The service was meticulous and full of emotional value, making this trip more enjoyable. Overall, this trip was not just a visit to the attractions, but also a warm homestay experience. I sincerely thank the proprietress and the boss. Next time I come to Hongcun, I will definitely stay here again!

TTaozijiang€This stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's location is perfect; it's super convenient for both nearby attractions and finding great food. The room was clean and cozy, and the bedding was so comfortable that I fell asleep the moment I hit the pillow. The bathroom was also completely odor-free. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, check-in was lightning fast, and they even thoughtfully recommended some fun places to visit nearby. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all nutritious and delicious. The value for money is outstanding, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area!

GGippiThe property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

BBaiwenburuyijianyaThis was my second stay. Hongcun is a great place to relax on weekends, and Zhang's Mansion is as cozy as ever. I told the manager in advance what I wanted to eat, and we ate right away. The food was all bought by the aunties at the manor that morning—fresh and delicious. The rooms are still in the same style, with a classic, antique charm. During the day, I strolled around the village, and in the evening, I went back to the manor to eat, drink, and sleep, relieving the fatigue of work.

CChi Kwan BrainThe hotel is a brand new one. Once arrived, the hotel reception staff served with a warm smile and generously grant us free breakfast for 2 mornings. Hotel renovation looks well and the room facilities are all modern and high tech. I was particularly impressed with its WCPan which has an auto washing services for buttock. The bed linen and flooring are clean well. Environment nearby is beautiful village scene where we enjoy having a lesuire walk there. All in all, it is a very good hotel which can make you relax even you just stay in the hotel. Ha one more that is the restaurant next to the hotel where one may enjoy delicious Chinese meals. The staff there are also very nice. Eating there is just like having meals at home. I am sure I will stay in Vienna again when next time I go to huangshan.

GGuest UserThe most beautiful proprietress in Hongcun is not only beautiful, she also drives to and from the hotel herself. The service is meticulous and the accommodation environment is good. Although the soundproofing of the century-old wooden house is not good, everyone consciously goes to bed before ten o'clock. The village is very quiet. It was a two-day rest after coming down from Huangshan Mountain. It's great! Super five-star praise!
