Albert 1er

Hotel near Nice Waterfront,Nice
Nestled in the heart of Vieux Nice between the Jardins Albert 1er and the iconic Promenade des Anglais the Hotel Albert 1er offers a privileged location overlooking the sea. In this establishment emblematic of the Nice of the Roaring Twenties authenticity and design harmonize to create a friendly arty-chic setting for your Nice getaway. From first light to dusk the hotel invites you to experience the quintessential Mediterranean art of chilling out.
"Location: Great, very close to the beach, so you can come back directly for a shower after swimming. It's also very close to the Old Town; you can walk to the morning market, Castle Hill, and Place Masséna. However, it's a bit of a distance to the New Town. Cleanliness: Clean. Amenities: The air conditioning is quite old-fashioned and linked to the windows, meaning it won't work if the a window is open, which the staff didn't mention. Breakfast: The staff were excellent, and there was a wide variety of items. Overall, nothing particularly stood out, but it was decent. The mini sausages, bread, and bottled yogurt were tasty. Overall value for money is average; the room is relatively small (though the bathroom is very large and has a bathtub), but you're paying for the excellent location."

"This hotel is pretty good, and the price is decent for Nice. The room is a bit small though, and can feel a bit cramped for three people. But we did get to experience a really cool old-fashioned elevator, which was a lot of fun, haha! We also liked that we could store our luggage at the hotel after check-out and use their restrooms. There's a Monoprix supermarket about a 15-minute walk from the hotel – definitely recommend checking it out! Haha, you can buy local specialties, food, etc., and even fresh-squeeze your own orange juice. Plus, there's an amazing and super affordable Turkish kebab place just a 2-minute walk from the hotel (pictured in photos 9-10)! The kebabs are piled high, the service is great, and it's incredibly delicious! Such a fantastic deal! Highly, highly recommend!!!"

"Very budget friendly and clean, easy to access to Nice train station and central commercial area. The sound isolation is not satisfying, but it’s more than enough for a two star hotel."

"The location is excellent, right next to the train station, making it super convenient to travel to nearby towns. It's about a ten-minute walk to the beach, and there's a tram stop right outside, so it's a real transportation hub in Nice. The place was quite clean. Facilities were all good; there's free coffee on the ground floor, and you can grab water yourself. The L-shaped balcony is very spacious, but the curtains are a bit thin and don't block out much light. The only downside is that the elevator is quite slow, fitting a maximum of three people. This hotel offers incredible value for money. During my 20+ day trip in Europe, hotel prices ranged from 750 to 3000 euros per night, and this was the cheapest but definitely not the worst. If you plan on exploring the towns around Nice, this is the top choice."

"The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, nestled within a business park with readily available supermarkets and restaurants. It offers excellent value for money. It's also within easy walking distance from Nice Airport T1, nearby Tram stations, and the train station. The apartment-style rooms are clean and spacious, though daily housekeeping isn't provided. The double bed is a bit soft and narrow, but the refrigerator and kitchen utensils are perfect for self-catering. There's a free gym in the building, and the attached parking garage is easy to access, with a clearly marked entrance. The €12/day parking fee is very reasonable for the area. However, be aware that the ramps for entering/exiting and moving between floors in the parking garage are extremely narrow and feature sharp right-angle turns, so be prepared for a challenging drive!"
