Kinugawa Onsen Hana No Yado Matsuya
"This hotel is a good onsen with good service and good food. It is in desperate need of investment with carpets worn, paint peeling etc. It lives off it's revenue when the owners ought to find the capital to bring it up to date."
Fairfield by Marriott Tochigi Nikko
"Pleasant stay. Hotel is kind of near top of the hill. There’s a pantry by the lobby and also a dining table. Coffee bean machine which is great. There is no restaurant for breakfast. Have to use coupon to redeem breakfast from reception. Japanese breakfast, cold. But there is a food truck outside the hotel which is convenient for hot breakfast like toast. So far room is cozy and water shower pressure is good. Some stains on the wall in the toilet."
Asaya
"We have a wonderful time at the place, it is quiet, clean, close to a beautiful stream and very relaxing for me and my partner to have a relax trip, will definitely come again."
The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko
"The view at the hotel was so nice, the room was so clean. and not to mention the service, every staff was super polite, we joined some of the hotel activities and tiff was so kind and professional! highly recommend this hotel!!"
Hoshino Resorts KAI Kinugawa
"An extravagant Onsen Hotel experience. I came in Autumn in the depth of fall colours. Every night the wind in the trees lulled me to bed. The rooms with the private tub and terrace are awesome. Dinner and breakfast is luxurious too with a sampling of local Nikko delicacies like Yuba. A hotel for adults looking for calm and solace."
Nikko Kanaya Hotel
"The hotel is very pretty from outside kindergartenjd the garden is spectacular. My room has been refurnished so it is it isv bea beautiful. Food is good too. Just that the place and my bath tub is quite ancient. Overall , a memorable stay"
Nikko Station Hotel Classic
"Located near Tobu Nikko station and the different bus routes, Nikko Hotel Classic was located perfectly. Its rooms were spacious and onsen located within the hotel has both outdoor and indoor pools. Would definitely recommend."
Hatago Nagomi
"We had and amazing time here! The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. The onsen was so refreshing after a long day of travel. We also loved the beautiful setting next to the lake. It was so relaxing. Dinner was delicious and a neat cultural experience. If you're debating including dinner, definitely add it on. You won't regret it. When we left, the owner went above and beyond to help us out and make sure that we made it down the mountain to our next stop (edo wonderland) in a timely manner. Can't recommend highly enough!"
Koduchi No Yado Tsurukamedaikichi
"It’s been such a nice stay, the room is large and clean, the traditional decor is perfectly introduced into the vibe of Nikko. The dinner and breakfast were perfectly served. Plus, they have a very nice souvenir shop on the first floor, bought a few socks there. Finally, the onsen was brilliant, also large room and a small onsen outside on a balcony. I regret staying only for one night."

Kinugawa Hotel Mikazuki
"ckean and delicious food"
Kinugawa Park Hotels
"The hotel is around 10mins walk from Kinugawa-Onsen Station. Although there are many abandoned hotels, shops, residences, buildings around the surrounding area, I can still explore the area as the street lights are lit in the evening. The hotel is divided into different wings and occupies a large area. I stayed in the upper floors of the hotel’s main building (Kirakukan) but there’s an option to stay at the hotel’s park-cottages that is built on the cliff of the riverbank and overlooks the Kinugawa river. The Kinugawa Park Cottage is located separately further away from the main building. I only noticed a local Japanese family of four or five persons being escorted by the hotel staff to one of the cottages. Other than that one-off encounter, I didn’t see anyone else at the area around the cottage which is also super quiet. Likewise for the other wings of the hotel i.e. Kinoyakata and Kishintei, I didn’t see any guests maybe due to low season. Love the onsen and the private open-air bath, the traditional Japanese kaiseiki breakfast and dinner. There’s also a souvenir shop, ramen & snack shop as well as an outdoor swimming pool which I couldn’t use as it is only available for use come summer time. Just across the road from the hotel, there’s the Waterside Cafe Terrace, a 7-Eleven convenience store adjacent to the hotel and since there’s no self-service washing machine/dryer in the hotel, the nearest 24h laundromat is around a 5-min walk from the hotel located behind the Waterside Cafe Terrace and across the road facing “Galarie Cafe Painto E”. On the day of check-out, the hotel helped to store my luggage and I had lunch at “Suzukawa Cafe” just next to Galarie Cafe Painto E. The food prices here are slightly cheaper than the ones near Kinugawa-Onsen station."
LiVEMAX RESORT KINUGAWA
"Overall it was good but the water pressure in the shower was poor"
Hotel Harvest Kinugawa
"The hotel rate is good value even though it was high season. The room is so big and comfort. There were beds and tatami zone. The view is mountain. It takes 5 minutes walk from train station. They have an onsen. The restaurant food is delicious."
Kinugawa Royal Hotel
"The stuff are extremely friendly and helpful. The reception desk stuff are always smiling and very willing to help. We have a wonderful stay here. Facilities are considerable for both elderly and kids. We would love to come back and visit again in the future."
Kamenoi Hotel Okunikko
"Really enjoyed my stay, lots of locals come here. Outdoor onsen was good, buffet food was decent too (favourite was the beef!). Extra points for the massage chair which was really a good relieve after a long day. Only drawback is pillow was too small and too soft which gave me neck aches the next morning. Location a little far out from town, would need a car to get here for convenience. But overall a great stay and will come recommend!"
Chuzenji Kanaya Hotel
"GOOD GOOD GOOD"
Kinugawa Grand Hotel Yume No Toki
"The hotel is big and has a nice onsen pool. Surprisingly great food with kaiseki style"
Itoen Hotel New Sakura

LiVEMAX RESORT KAWAJI

Fufu Nikko
"This was our first Fufu experience and wow what a way to start. Everything here is impeccable, from the moment you we arrived at the carpark, you'd instantly know that you are in good hands. Every single staff was lovely to interact with, service was personable and extremely proactive and attentive. Food was great and the drinks selection was decent - they offered an agreeable champagne for free drink happy hour and if you want something nicer, a lot of good wines were available at extremely reasonable prices. The hotel had a feeling of a luxury safari tent or of the best of Amans. It is everything that a luxury hotel/ryokan could and should be. Even the other guests were all courteous, polite and friendly. We were constantly surprised by all the small gestures and stuff that the staff prepared for us. We won’t go into too much detail as we don’t want to spoil it for you, but if you were to visit Japan, you must make a detour to visit Fufu Nikko. It’s just THAT good. It's better than any hotels in Japan (even the Amans, and we consider ourselves Amanjunkies). Room: We stayed at the lowest room category Stylish Suite. We were perfectly happy with it. We feel that rooms on the first floors offer easiest accessibility. We would likely be staying for 3 nights for our next visit, as Nikko has so much to offer and is the highlight of our trip."
KAMENOI HOTEL NIKKO YUNISHIGAWA ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT
"The hotel staffs are friendly and nice. Free alcohol drink from check-in til 10.30pm! The hotel is in the remote area. It might take some time to get there. Overall is great! will visit again!"
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Hotel Kinugawa Gyoen
"nice place下,worh traveling again"
Okunikko Yumoto Onsen Yunomori
"A hidden gem in Okunikko! Amazing staff, high-quality food, and the best Onsen water. Even as non-Japanese speakers, we felt so welcomed. Everything was perfect! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
