Well, it’s the Ritz Carlton, so expect the price and expect the proportional experience! Staff was super attentive from the moment I got on the shuttle bus to the moment I step off the bus going back to Tokyo. My Rooms was impressively spacious and impeccably appointed. I just havs breakfast once during my two nights stay, it was professionally prepared and it was priced accordingly ( very high end😂！）I decided to go on a diet so I can go back to eat in Tokyo, all joking aside, it was a great soul healing and spirit rejuvenating journey to visit Nikko😆😆😆

Nikko is a popular summer retreat for Tokyoites and the burial site of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, known for its beautiful scenery. The sacred Shinkyo Bridge is conveniently located between the hotel and the station. However, the hotel doesn't offer a shuttle service, meaning the Fufu's renowned service is limited to within its premises. Once you step out, you're on your own. When I left, there were no taxis available, and no ride-hailing apps either. The staff, with a smile, simply pointed me in the direction of the public bus stop, under the blazing sun. The hotel's garden, though not huge, is quite beautiful. The rooms are spacious, the internet connection is decent, and the facilities are excellent, especially the hot springs – both the in-room ones and the large public bath are fantastic. The absolute highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly the dining. It was truly superb.

I was very impressed with my stay at Hotel Kinugawa Onsen 💙. The buffet spread for both breakfast and dinner was incredibly extensive, offering a huge variety of Japanese and other dishes. I was completely satisfied and felt it was excellent value for money. The onsen was also fantastic, very clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities needed for a truly relaxing soak. The hotel's surroundings were peaceful and immersed in nature, making it perfect for unwinding, recharging, and simply enjoying some leisurely time. If I have the chance, I would definitely love to stay here again 😊.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the view was great. The free cocktail and coffee services in the lobby were nice, as well as the free drink bar (including one beer per person) near the entrance to the hot spring. They should switch to a key-and-wristband system like other onsen hotels. The room itself felt like an old, once-grand mansion that had seen better days. The furniture had many scratches, and the surfaces were worn and peeling. It made me think it must have been impressive in the past. Still, the room was definitely more spacious compared to other hotels.

Although the location is a little off, the overall environment is still very good. The Kinu River flows outside the window, and the view is very good. We were greeted by a Nepalese employee who introduced the hotel to us in English, including dining locations and hot spring bathing times. While we were eating, they also introduced the ingredients to us and chatted with us for a while. The service was very good. There are shuttle buses available to Kinugawa Onsen Station and Kinugawa Park Station. The next day, since my friend and I were the only ones on the bus, we asked if it was convenient to take us to the Kinu River Bridge. The driver was very nice and took us directly to the bridge entrance, saving us the embarrassment of dragging our suitcases along the way!

This is a popular all-inclusive resort! We stayed on a Saturday, but the various play areas and pool facilities were spacious and relaxed, so it didn't feel crowded at all. The dining area was in one place, so there was a problem with the flow of food, so we had to wait in line, but we arrived a little early so we managed. The hot springs were also very nice. We liked the hotel very much. It surely needs renovation in some areas, but you forget about this, because the hotel service is very good. The staff is very helful and welcoming, many free amenities are provided: yukata clothes for kids for all ages, socks for geta shoes, face sheet masks for ladies. Futons are very cosy, kaiseki dinner was worth it, but if your kids do not like Japanese style food, you need to think of it beforehand. Onsen area is very nice. It has pool also. I would recommend to stay in this hotel and enjoy Japanese experience.

Everything was great! We lived here for three days in April 2024. The hosts are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty and large, so during the day we didn’t even want to have lunch while walking. Everything in the room is clean and tidy. The place is quiet and beautiful. Nearby there is a large supermarket with everything you need. The bus stop to the waterfalls and lake is also very close. There is also a public onsen nearby, we had a good time there too.
