Fantastic service and experience. Seamless check-in from the moment we were greeted at the front porch all the way being orienteered around the hotel and escorted to the hotel. Facilities immaculate, especially loved the Onsen. Information regarding our dietary requirements have been communicated well through the different teams at the hotel.

A traditional Japanese hot spring hotel located next to Kamibashi. I stayed with 11 friends, and the hotel provided a banquet hall for us to have dinner and breakfast; everyone felt at home. The quality of the food was very good, but the chestnut rice for dinner was disappointing. The autumn maple scenery on the inclined road between Kamibashi and the hotel in the early morning is very beautiful.

The three of us walked up from Kinugawa Station. It took about 15 minutes to walk. It was mid-December and the red leaves had not yet receded. The environment along the way was beautiful. The hotel is a one-way hotel-specific cable car up. It is very unique and different from other hotels. Breakfast and dinner are all Japanese-style, with careful ingredients, fresh and delicious.

It is a hotel with a historical atmosphere. If you are good at English and Japanese, you will experience more. It is very close to the Shinkyo Bridge. The hotel service responded promptly and the attitude was good. The well-received Western food is really good. The marbled steak tastes amazing. The Japanese red trout is not impressive at first, but I actually like it haha. In short, both sets are quite satisfactory. The breakfast is a simple carbohydrate satisfaction, and the butter is good. I give satisfaction points for both meals. The deluxe room is large and the equipment is relatively new. The bedding is soft and thick. There is no dissatisfaction with other things such as bathroom hot water, toiletries, air conditioning temperature, room odor, etc. I left the hotel to play and stored the gift. When I returned, I asked the hotel to help call a taxi. Due to the evening rush hour, I didn’t make an appointment for the car, but the hotel waiter kept trying to make a call. In the end, he was very sorry and gave the taxi company card for our subsequent use. In short, it is a recommended hotel to stay in Nikko.

I took a taxi from Kinugawa Onsen Station to go to the hotel, but just take the bus. It's quick, cheap, and good.
The hotel service was good. The guide was friendly, and the fact that it's a key, not a card key, is heavy, but it's also good because it's hard to lose.
The hotel facilities have a retro feel, but I didn't feel old. It feels like a restored classic car.
Dinner is divided into two parts: the first half and the second half. At first, everyone goes to Honmaguro and Daege, but you can take something else at that time.
In the end, everything is gone, so you can take your time. The ice cream was Haagen-Dazs, which is a three-course meal, but I only had one because I was feeding the baby.
There are three hot springs, including an open-air bath and two large baths, but the basement floor of the annex building was nice because there were fewer people. There were many types of shampoos available on the market, so it was easy to use.
There were also Japanese brands of hair dryers, such as Lipa, Panasonic, and Dyson. There were also baby chairs for easy washing of babies, and a baby bed where you could put your baby while drying your hair, so it was easy to prepare for leaving the baby. The breakfast was also great, with unlimited salmon roe and a variety of breads.
I was satisfied and plan to visit again when my second child is born.
It was a resort where I could feel the bubble era.

Located between Tobu Nikko and JR Nikko, the location is very good. You can store your luggage at the hotel before traveling, without having to store luggage at the station. The room is very clean and not small. The triple room can spread out the luggage. It is similar to the structure of placing mattresses on tatami, and the distance between the beds is relatively narrow. I ordered a set meal with dinner, which I personally don’t recommend. The hotel gives vouchers for dinner (2,500 yen per person), and you take a shuttle bus to a place similar to a food court. The time is relatively fixed. The choice of variety and taste is actually good, but if you have the conditions to eat local dinner, this is not the best choice

Very comfortable hotel experience, we stayed for two nights. This home is not central in the daylight, but not far from the main attractions. After booking, the hotel will send an email to inform you of the check-in details. Upon arrival at the Nikko Station, you will be picked up by car. Checkin first sent a drink, sparkling champagne and matcha are very good, and the 跪 service is very thoughtful. We chose two Western-style beds plus tatami. The name of the guest will be affixed to the door of the room. The two people sleep very much. The outside is a beautiful courtyard view. Each room has an independent hot spring. In fact, there are basically no people in the big bath. (Because the hotel rooms are not too much), they are basically exclusive. At the hotel, I tasted two Kaiseki dinners and breakfasts. The patterns were different and the roads were delicious. Each room was arranged in a small box and the privacy was very good. In the morning, there are milk and wheat tea in the hot springs. In the morning, I can go to the sights to play and there are cars that can be sent to the Toshogu Shrine. In the afternoon, I am tired and make a phone call. I immediately have a car to pick up the cards at the designated place. It is also very thoughtful. In short, it is definitely a good hotel that I would recommend to my friends.

The room is big and comfortable. The view from the hotel also excellent. The downside is that there is check in timing (last check in is 1800) and there is no any other shop around the hotel so it is the best to add on dinner. The dinner taste still can be acceptable.

Take the bus from Tobu Nikko and get off at Kokamae Station and walk for five minutes to the hotel. The room has a large view towards the lake, and the buffet is delicious and comes with free ramen as a midnight snack. There aren't too many people in the large bath, and there are both indoor and open-air baths, so it's overall pretty good. The only drawback is that the room has no bathroom and there is no convenience store nearby.

The room was very nice. We booked a lake view room. The temperature outside was more than 10 degrees below zero, but the room was warm as spring because the room had a heater, which was much better than air conditioning. We booked a package that included breakfast and dinner. Compared with the hot springs, it was not very good, but it was already two of the better meals in Nikko. I feel that after so many visits to Japan, Nikko is a place where there are not many delicious things.

Amazing
PPetrCool and high-class ryokan hotel. Optimal location for exploring Nikko and surrounding attractions, excellent service, clean and cool onsen with a variety of creams, which can be bought right there in the souvenir shop. Great and varied dinner and breakfast, inexpensive drinks. We stayed for 2 days and 4 meals were different on the menu.
It was nice to receive gift coupons for souvenirs and alcohol at the hotel.
View of the mountain river right from the room. Girls can choose a yukata of the color they like for their stay in the ryokan. It's cool that for the entire stay in the ryokan you are assigned one maid who feeds you and sees you off and helps deliver your luggage - you feel like you are visiting friends. The staff is great - very attentive, but not intrusive.
The downsides are the slightly tired room, but not lacking traditional chic, old curtains, cold light in the room (personally not very pleasant for me, I would advise the hotel to think about replacing the lamps with 3000 Kelvin).
I highly recommend the ryokan, the guys are trying.
黎黎The family is in their 30s. The room is large and the dinner is very luxurious. It is worthy of the specifications of the New Year’s Eve dinner. The service is very meticulous and thoughtful. The hot spring does not feel any minerals, but the venue is large and has an open air. When we left, we had a lot of luggage and took the initiative to drive us to the station, generally affordable
JJR_DYReally nice room with an epic view of the lake and enough space for everything. Meals are wonderful and abundant and a seasonal selection each day Perfect place to stay if you are planning to explore okunikko area or to cycle around the lake, there are also restaurants nearby for lunch. The public bath is very pleasant with an outdoor spring to soak in while enjoying an open sky. Found out there was a shuttle bus back to tobu-nikko station setting off at 11am from the hotel after speaking to a kind staff member, Diane. Do make reservations for the shuttle beforehand at the reception if you plan to take this as well. Rental bikes available at the Nikko natural history museum which is a 10min walk from the hotel
CcckentThe hotel is great! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with many facilities like karaoke, a game center, and more. I visited with my family, a total of 14 people, and they were able to arrange a private room for us for both dinner and breakfast. Both meals were buffet-style and absolutely delicious.
The onsen experience was wonderful, and the view from the onsen was fantastic, with a beautiful view of the Kinugawa River.
However, there was one issue: when we checked in, the reception took our passports for photocopying. Unfortunately, they missed returning one of the passports to us. It wasn’t until after we checked out and reached our next stop that we realized one passport was missing. We had to go back to the hotel to take it.
Despite this, the overall experience was great, and I would still recommend the hotel.
IImdoubThe overall accommodation experience was very good, especially the environment and drink supply in the lobby, which was very warm.
The room feels spacious and the environment is comfortable. The view outside the terrace is stunning.
The hot springs are also very good. The men's and women's hot springs will swap in the morning and evening, so you can enjoy the hot springs on both sides.
There is also a buffet in the morning and evening. Personally, I think the morning buffet is better!
It is some distance away from Kinugawa Onsen Station. When passing the station, you will pass a long staircase. Passengers with suitcases and not self-driving should be careful.
CCasual travellerLocation is super, very near to Nikko Station, room is adequate if traveling with very light bag pack. Hotel has a small onsen facility (bathhouse), do check with the counter staff on the operating hours. There are nearby super-mart (family mart is just across the road and another one within walking distance) which makes it great to get snacks for the night. Shops/cafe closes relatively early.
NNieva MayThe place is a 25-30 minute walk from the Tobu Nikko station, but you can actually take bus going there. However we didn't know the buses only run until 3 in the afternoon so we had no choice but to walk an uphill road. However it was a very fun experience and the hike was worth it as soon as we were able to take a rest in this humble pension house. The owner was very accommodating, gave us strawberry ice cream and even offered us a ride to the station the next morning. I would say that this place gave us the best definition of ”omotenashi”. Someday when we go back in Nikko , we'll surely stay here once again.
LLuluxiudexielunyan🍃 The hotel is located in the mountains, the air is very fresh, and there are walking trails nearby; it is a very niche destination, almost all Japanese tourists. It is more quiet and comfortable than Kinugawa, like a paradise, it is a great time Travel!
🚃 There is a direct shuttle bus from Asakusa Station to Okkinu Onsen Station. After exiting the station, change to the bus at the No. 1 platform on the left side of the square. The road is full of green and beautiful scenery of mountains, rivers, lakes, and streams. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours later, after arriving at Nyofubuchi Station, transfer to the exclusive shuttle bus to reach the hotel. (Detailed public transportation guide can be found on the hotel’s official website, no ladder required)
💁 The reception staff at the hotel's front desk speak very good English. You only need to worry about whether your English level can be fully understood. They are also very welcoming to foreign tourists! If you know a little bit of Triangle Cat's Japanese, you can communicate here without any barriers~ When you check in, you can reserve a private bath time, confirm the dinner time, etc. at the front desk (50 minutes, special soup package)
🍱 It is highly recommended to choose the price package that includes dinner. The dinner variety is very rich, including sashimi, beef, boiled food, pickled food, as well as desserts and a small glass of wine. After soaking in the hot springs, go to enjoy dinner. It can be said to be the ultimate experience! The breakfast is also great, and the meal-inclusive price is very cost-effective.
♨️ The hot springs are simply amazing. In addition to the indoor hot springs separated for men and women, there are also 3 large open-air hot springs. One of them is for women only, so you don’t have to worry about the embarrassment of mixed bathing; everything is full of sulfur smell and the soup is very turbid. , it’s the turbidity of minerals! In the deep mountains and old forests, soaking in such a pleasant hot spring and closing your eyes can completely forget your worries. Occasionally, you can hear one or two birds chirping, which really makes you recite a poem.
🎑 I’m very lucky that my guest room is located by the valley. When I open the window, I can hear the white noise of the stream. There are tea and sweet biscuits in the room. I sit by the window and make two cups of tea. I can completely relax myself and listen to the stream. one day!
🗺️ If you are a traveler from Tokyo and have enough time, I suggest you plan a two-day itinerary here: on the first day, take a bus from Tokyo to Kinugawa Hot Spring in Shimoimaichi to visit. There are many interesting attractions here. Take the bus to Garen Tang on the second day, so that the trip will not be rushed! And you can experience niche destinations in depth~
❤️ Finally, I hope I will have the opportunity to experience it again in the future! And I wish the boss a prosperous business! All in all, it’s a very recommended place!
TTsusiefirst of I would like to thanks always trip.com for very nice & convinient bookings everytime,we stay new sakura hotel, because the interior of the hotel is mostly sakura theme, the carpet, the gorgeous chandelier, the wall design, etc.or cherry blossom in Japan,& so very affordable prize,we spend only 18,000 yen for 2 adults, with 2 breakfast & 2 dinner.Very near from kinugawa onsen station, only 3 hrs.from Tokyo. We amazed the room,so very big for the two of us,for very cheap prize, can accomodate even 10 person, the buffet breakfast & dinner also is so good but the most I want to share is the drink all you can alcohol beverages for 1 hour, like beer, japanese wine, sours, all kinds of softhdrinks,I enjoyed for self service alcohol drink all you can!the hotspring also is very good but the cons is take care in the outdoor spring because of the concrete stairs, especially for the elderly when slippery, there's
& a little bit far from our room, the young staff also at the counter is nice & most of them are young japanese lady,so very entertaining,so many free amusement like billiard, majong, etc.with a nice sorrounding sightseeng site.& last after check out they give 2000 yen discount coupon for the next visit,Thanks God & trip.com for a nice autumn tour moment in kinugawa onsen Tochigi Perfecture Japan
CChristian ItalyConvenient place just across Tobu Nikko station. For one night we had all we needed in our twin room, which was like a studio: private bathroom, kitchen corner with microwave, kettle, sink and fridge (no kitchen amenities), balcony with view. Heating and heated blanket did their job in the cold night. There’s a Supermarket and a Laundry service close by.
The hotel needs for sure some maintenance and insulation can be improved as it was very cold.
The only way to get to upper floors is by elevator, as I tried using the stairs but they were blocked by piles of sheets, which is not ideal as there should be emergency exits! Not really a budget accommodation compared to other places I stayed in Japan and for the standard offered.
