Spa Hotels in Nikko

Fantastic service and experience. Seamless check-in from the moment we were greeted at the front porch all the way being orienteered around the hotel and escorted to the hotel. Facilities immaculate, especially loved the Onsen. Information regarding our dietary requirements have been communicated well through the different teams at the hotel.

The three of us walked up from Kinugawa Station. It took about 15 minutes to walk. It was mid-December and the red leaves had not yet receded. The environment along the way was beautiful. The hotel is a one-way hotel-specific cable car up. It is very unique and different from other hotels. Breakfast and dinner are all Japanese-style, with careful ingredients, fresh and delicious.

Take the bus from Tobu Nikko and get off at Kokamae Station and walk for five minutes to the hotel. The room has a large view towards the lake, and the buffet is delicious and comes with free ramen as a midnight snack. There aren't too many people in the large bath, and there are both indoor and open-air baths, so it's overall pretty good. The only drawback is that the room has no bathroom and there is no convenience store nearby.

Cool and high-class ryokan hotel. Optimal location for exploring Nikko and surrounding attractions, excellent service, clean and cool onsen with a variety of creams, which can be bought right there in the souvenir shop. Great and varied dinner and breakfast, inexpensive drinks. We stayed for 2 days and 4 meals were different on the menu. It was nice to receive gift coupons for souvenirs and alcohol at the hotel. View of the mountain river right from the room. Girls can choose a yukata of the color they like for their stay in the ryokan. It's cool that for the entire stay in the ryokan you are assigned one maid who feeds you and sees you off and helps deliver your luggage - you feel like you are visiting friends. The staff is great - very attentive, but not intrusive. The downsides are the slightly tired room, but not lacking traditional chic, old curtains, cold light in the room (personally not very pleasant for me, I would advise the hotel to think about replacing the lamps with 3000 Kelvin). I highly recommend the ryokan, the guys are trying.

The building and facilities are old and have not been renovated since we stayed there 10 years ago, and there were no room amenities. We paid over 150,000 yen per night for this, so I don't think we'll be returning. When we checked out, I didn't want to hear the manager loudly talking badly about the main Kanaya Hotel to an older man, saying that he hated it. Does this mean he lacks professionalism as a manager...? I hope people don't say that the old Kanaya Hotel was better.

first of I would like to thanks always trip.com for very nice & convinient bookings everytime,we stay new sakura hotel,because the interior of the hotel is mostly sakura theme,the carpet,the gorgeous chandelier, the wall design,etc.or cherry blossom in Japan,& so very affordable prize,we spend only 18,000 yen for 2 adults,with 2 breakfast & 2 dinner.Very near from kinugawa onsen station,only 3 hrs.from Tokyo.We amazed the room,so very big for the two of us,for very cheap prize,can accomodate even 10 person,the buffet breakfast & dinner also is so good but the most I want to share is the drink all you can alcohol beverages for 1 hour,like beer,japanese wine,sours, all kinds of softhdrinks,I enjoyed for self service alcohol drink all you can!the hotspring also is very good but the cons is take care in the outdoor spring because of the concrete stairs,especially for the elderly when slippery,there's & a little bit far from our room,the young staff also at the counter is nice & most of them are young japanese lady,so very entertaining,so many free amusement like billiard,majong,etc.with a nice sorrounding sightseeng site.& last after check out they give 2000 yen discount coupon for the next visit,Thanks God & trip.com for a nice autumn tour moment in kinugawa onsen Tochigi Perfecture Japan

I was generally satisfied and would like to use it again, but there were a few things that bothered me. ◆About the hot springs It was great that the men's and women's baths were alternated and different types of hot springs could be enjoyed depending on the time of day. Points of concern: The hot springs and open-air baths are quite open, and it seems like you can see them from outside. You can see the bridge from the bath, but you can see the faces of people walking by, so I felt that the baths could be seen from the bridge side. ◆About cleanliness Basically, it is well cleaned and there is no problem spending time there. However, I was concerned about the fact that there were a lot of dead insects in the container that covers the light bulb of the room (the dead insects had accumulated on the ceiling light, and black dots were visible). ◆Access was very good and I was satisfied. All major tourist spots and stations are within walking distance.

We stayed in a Japanese-style Japanese-style room with free meals and free parking space. The hotel has Japanese breakfast and dinner. The quality of the meals is very good. The hotel rooms will be renovated in 2023, but most of the other facilities are dilapidated compared to the hot spring part. Not too big either. The hotel location is relatively remote. If you need to bring large luggage, it takes 20 minutes to walk from the JR station to the hotel. It is recommended to rent a car or take a bus outside the JR station to reach the hotel door. It is more convenient. 

The hotel is a bit old, but it can be seen that it was very grand when it was originally designed. I think the location of the hotel is very good, the rooms on both sides can see the valley view is very good. It is acceptable not to make too many demands on meals, but you need to be cautious if you have demands. The breakfast has Japanese and Western styles, and there is a solid part, which is highly recommended. Listening to the sound of water and birdsong, it is very pleasant. The public bathing pools are average. It’s a pity that the private baths are fully booked on weekends, but the public open-air pools are also okay. Fireworks are set off at night, and the open-air hot springs can be enjoyed. It feels good. There is a bus to pick up and drop off the hotel at the entrance of the hot spring town, 200 yen is half price for adults and children (prepare coins). The station is on the right hand side when you come out of the station. Show the driver the name of the hotel and you will be told which car (two cars in two directions) for the return trip Let the front desk help you call the bus driver to make a reservation, the earliest is 9.20

An old hot spring hotel! Breakfast and dinner are really cost-effective! The food is delicious, from fish to small pots! Appetizer strawberry wine, hot tea and dessert after dinner! The hot spring is also quite good. We are the family of four adults with children. It is a very satisfying stay experience! I have lived in a lot of expensive places before, but it feels similar. Cost-effective leverage, praise!
