Mountain View Hotels in Yi County

One of the best B&Bs I've stayed in all over China. I'm not biased towards my hometown and fellow villagers. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, the boss is good, the breakfast is great, the old man even served us breakfast, the room is even more comfortable, in fact, the best thing is the location, right at the south gate, right by the South Lake. Very beautiful homestay, just enter the south gate of Hongcun and turn right through a semicircular doorway! The owner is very enthusiastic and considerate. He wanted to pick me up at the south gate of Hongcun, but I said no, it's easy to find! The decoration is relatively simple, clean and hygienic, and the bedding is also very comfortable! It's very close to Nanhu, Yuezhao, and Chengzhitang, and it only takes a few minutes to walk there! I had a meal at the inn at noon, and guests can get a 12% discount. It was delicious! The owner also picked fruits from the yew tree in the inn for me to eat. It was the first time I ate this kind of fruit, soft, sticky and sweet! Very pleasantly surprised!

The environment of this hotel is very elegant, quiet and comfortable, suitable for getting away from the hustle and bustle. The service attitude is very good, warm and thoughtful, and the boss specially picked us up. After storing the luggage and going out for a walk, the boss also specially sent it to the door for us. It really makes people feel at home. The sanitation is also very good, the room is clean and tidy, and the facilities are complete. Overall, it is a pleasant stay experience.

Very nice hotel, perfectly located opposite of the Hongcun Scenic area. The staff was very welcoming and set up a Wechat group for infos and questions. Our room was very clean and cosy. The hotel has a free afternoon-tea from 2-5pm and you have to make a reservation in advance because the time seats are limited. It is located in a cost tea house. The tea and snacks served were nice and delicious. The outdoor pool was refreshing and clean, with a nice view. To Hongcun you can just take a 5 minute walk and leave the car at the hotel. There is also a Covid-Testing station directly next to the entrance of the Scenic area. For breakfast they had a big selection of local food, we really liked it. The only negative point we have to say that the tea in the morning tasted not good, they didn’t use filtered water, so it had a moldy old taste. All in all I can really recommend the hotel and would book it again. The location and the staff was really great!

It is a 20-minute drive from Yixian East High-Speed ​​Railway Station and takes RMB 4 by bus to Xidi Scenic Area. Mobaili is considered a boutique B&B in the scenic area. It is located very close to the ticket office at the main entrance of the scenic area and the bus station. On the ground floor is an Hui cuisine restaurant and a small wine shop. , go up another floor to the front desk of the B&B. The interior layout and the proprietress can be regarded as a scenery of the B&B. The style of the B&B is the new Chinese style that combines tradition and modernity. The room is very comfortable and clean, and the scenery looking out is beautiful. The top platform overlooks the Xidi ancient buildings. A small disadvantage of the B&B is that after taking a shower, the toilet area that is supposed to be separated from wet and dry areas will see a small amount of water. Overall, I am very satisfied with this stay. If I have the opportunity to go to Xidi/Hongcun again, I will also choose Mobaili and stay a few more nights (hope for a discount😅).

A beautiful homestay, especially the tea room, study, and small meeting room on the first floor, which are beautifully colored and perfect in details. The second floor is the guest room, the third floor is the restaurant and terrace, and there is an elevator. The room is also clean and spacious. The breakfast is particularly good, the auntie is friendly, the terrace has a good view (Figure 10), and parking is also convenient. The only drawback is that the environment at the door is average, the homestay is not along the road, and a sign can be erected on the road. It is easy to miss, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to Hongcun.

The hotel is very close to Hongcun and Pingshan, and not far from the town. You can go out to eat local dishes at night. I am not used to staying in private B&Bs, and I think it is good to see this kind of regular star hotel with a good environment. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but the quality is good and not perfunctory. There are no shopping malls in the whole Yi County.

The location of the B&B is good. It is very quiet after entering, which can isolate the hustle and bustle of Hongcun. The overall color and decoration of the B&B are clean and refreshing. The small courtyard is quite comfortable. It is good to sit and drink tea and daydream. The bedding in the room is comfortable, the air conditioning, smart toilet, and shower facilities are all good. The room is spacious enough, and it is comfortable and convenient for a family to travel. The nearby restaurant recommended by the boss is a restaurant in an old building. The taste is good and the price is not expensive. The boss picked up and dropped off in and out of the village, helped to carry the luggage, and gave souvenirs when leaving.

The B&B is antique and elegant, with an intoxicating and beautiful courtyard. I feel happy when I come to the courtyard. The room is clean and tidy. I will come again and introduce friends to it. Thanks again to Ctrip for recommending us a good B&B

My family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise. The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site. One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days. At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us. Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.
