Stayed for 3 nights with my wife, overall nice hotel and enjoyed it. Things we liked; staff were helpful and friendly, hotel aesthetic was great, rooms large and well designed, bar and grill area very nice with good food. Things that could have been better; hotel breakfast is not great and not worth it vs others, the continental spread was minimal and pastries poor quality, only ate there once then decided to eat at other places outside hotel on rest of mornings. Also kettle in our room wasn't working, we called down for it and no one ever showed up to fix or replace. Also there was a foul smell coming from shower/ toilet drainage that was quite strong, shower was dirty. Small things that can easily be rectified with a bit more attention to detail.

Loved my stay at this Hotel. It was my third time staying at this hotel. The aesthetics of the Hotel are really nice. The spaces in the hotel are modern with a touch of luxury. The front desk ladies that I met during my stay were welcoming, friendly and had good vibes.Nothing beats a warm welcome.
Check in was quick and easy and very professional. I forgot the name of the lady that checked us in but she was fabulous. We checked in on September 4th 2024 between 12:20-12:50 so the lady that was sat on the right side of the main desk at that time did really well n checking us in.
The breakfast was okay , but it kinda left me wanting more in terms of selection. Maybe beef sausages or even chicken sausages could be added???
But it was still good nevertheless.
The location of the hotel is also pretty good as you are able to go to access many restaurants… and shopping points.
Distance from the Machester Piccadilly Train station from this hotel is super convenient as well.
Would totally recommend this hotel😊😊😊

I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel last weekend. First and foremost, it is absolutely stunning — from its exterior to the reception and restaurant on the sixth floor to the en-suite Club Rooms my friends and I stayed in. I didn’t get a chance to try out the rooftop bar (it was my hen party so my weekend itinerary was packed) but I’ll definitely be back with my fiancé soon. After having a taste of the Hotel Gotham, I truly can’t think of anywhere else we’d stay when visiting Manchester. The staff were so accommodating — from allowing me to drop off my suitcase in the morning to letting my friend check into her room early and add her husband to the booking. Because I was in the city for a special occasion, the staff even left a little gift for me in my room (a handwritten postcard congratulating me on my engagement, as well as some super tasty sweet treats: iced cookies, chocolate-dipped strawberries and macaroons). Breakfast was delicious too and I was genuinely sad to leave, but I’ll definitely be back again soon.

Perfect budget friendly hotel. We stayed here for one night and it was just what we needed. Great location, near loads of restaurants and bars. The reception/bar area was cool and quirky. The staff were really friendly from start to finish. We got the no window king room, which had a massive bed and tv which loads of lighting. Was compact but worked well. The free coffee machine is an added bonus. Overall great experience and i’ll be back for sure

Room was well-designed, clean with modern branded appliances such as a Nespresso machine, Smeg washing machine-dryer, fridge-freezer. Lotsa storage space and spacious bathroom with rain shower. Quiet at night as well for a busy hotel in a popular area. The pool was lovely and hot tub was squeaky clean. Breakfast was table-service but you can pick anything from the menu and I highly recommend the eggs royale! Will defo stay here again when I’m back!

The style of the room is retro, pretty good, the toiletries are great, and there is a refrigerator. But the top-level swimming pool is very small, only two or three meters long. No one really goes swimming. If you live in the pool, the price is slightly higher. There is also a sauna on the top floor, which makes it very comfortable to steam~

Hotel room facilities and cleanliness are fine but the room allocated at the far end of the hotel that I lived was a bit noisy. It was due to quite close or adjacent to the railway path and the trains passed by every hour produced some annoying noises heard from the hotel room even when midnight time.
It is interesting that the shower was semi-open style with one glass door; and the water could splash over the toilet floor.

The hotel it’s literally a 5 minute walk away from the taxi area of Manchester Piccadilly station. It’s worth knowing the hotel has two entrance where only is highlighted on most map apps.
The room was good, the bed is incredibly comfortable with pillows that a little too soft for me. All in all a great room. I skipped the breakfast option and Pollen Kampus is around the corner and have a lot of great pastry and good coffee as well as being having some great brunch options.
My only gripe is someone was smoking on the floor I was on, as I got close to my room it got stronger. I told the front desk and all that was said is the hotel manager will get in touch. This experience will prevent me from booking again. I mention this as I have to be fair to my experience.
Selina was just perfect. A very friendly welcome at arrivals, helpful and happy to answer any questions or give directions.
They even give you a free drink and 25% discount at an adjacent bar (Wilson’s)
The room itself was spotlessly clean with a large bed, warm bathroom and natural light.
I can definitely recommend staying in Selina for a city centre visit.

Very Good
KKCcccccccccLocation is the best ; just next to the Piccadilly station. Spacious room ; comfy ! Very good ventilation and air conditioned! Quiet room! Unfortunately my room was on the first floor so passes-by could see us through the windows if we didn’t use the curtain.
Some stains were found on towels, in the bed sheets and on the dining table; luggage storage after check out needed a small fee in the storage room on the fifth floor;
In spite of these I will still come again when I need to get back to Manchester :-)

SSimon HaywoodA super convenient location, and a simply stunning hotel offering stunning views over Manchester to the Pennines.
The room was immaculately clean, and the small details were all so impressive and thoughtful, with top quality toiletries in the bathroom and snacks and bottled water provided.
A short but sweet stay, hope to return before long!

GGuest UserWe stayed in Manchester for the weekend and The Midland was in a perfect spot for exploring the city.
Both nights we stayed at the Midland there were wedding parties being hosted there, unfortunately this led to not having the best sleep as there was regularly noise coming from other rooms, but when we called reception they did their best to help.
In the morning the staff were extremely apologetic and went above and beyond to make it up to us and said they usually are able to keep the bigger parties staying in the same area so this does not happen.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff, great location!

MMirko CN - NLNice and clean hotel .
Good location and excellent breakfast.
Only somehow the staf at the reception never greats you when you enter the hotel , they rather look at their screens . Its bit funny
CCho HongThe hotel is sited at a very convenient location with just 3-min walk to Oxford Road station, the room is fine but the using of access cards is a little bit tricky and malfunction few times and we needed to request the reception to change a new one
Regardless of the flaw, everything’s fine and the breakfast is good, so it’s still worth to consider here for your stay considering their convenience in location and traffic

EEllenStayed for one night and it was generally okay. Came out of Manchester Piccadilly station and it’s about 20 minutes walk from there. Close to Manchester Victoria station, though.
Definitely not Radisson standard but not too bad. Room had stains on the carpet and the hairdryer bag was covered in hair. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was one person on reception at night and was difficult to get through because he was rushed off his feet.
Breakfast was okay but pasties and flavoured yoghurts ran out very quickly and were not topped up.
Wound I stay there again, probably not. Should you stay there? No harm in trying it out for yourself. Like I said, it’s not bad.
MMallu Couple TravellersI recently stayed at the Britannia Hotel in Manchester and wanted to share my thoughts.
Location:
The location is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s super accessible to all forms of transport, whether you’re arriving by train, bus, or tram. It’s right in the city center, so you can easily explore Manchester without much hassle.
Parking:
The parking arrangement is convenient if you’re driving, especially with free parking between 8 pm and 8 am. Outside of those hours, you’ll need to pay, so keep that in mind if you’re staying for longer stretches.
Hotel Condition:
This is where the hotel shows its age. The building is very old, and while it has some charm, it could definitely use an upgrade. You can feel the wear and tear in the common areas and some of the rooms.
Rooms:
The rooms are a mixed bag. The basic rooms are just that—basic. They’re not particularly comfortable, and if you’re picky about where you sleep, you might feel underwhelmed. However, if you go for one of the upgraded rooms, the experience is much better. Those rooms feel cleaner and more inviting.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is a solid deal at just £9. It’s not a luxury spread, but it gets the job done. You’ll find the usual options for a budget-friendly hotel breakfast.
Staff:
The staff are a highlight of the hotel. They’re very kind and helpful, making you feel welcome from check-in to check-out.
Value for Money:
Overall, this is a budget-friendly hotel, so you do get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a no-frills place to stay in a central location and don’t mind the dated vibe, it works. However, if comfort and modern amenities are a priority, you might want to explore other
HHotmessNot a glamorous place, but location is excellent very central and is always exceptional value for money.
Always feel safe with 24/7 security and rooms are a decent size.
I do think they are slowly making some positive noticeable steps towards their image problem and notorious reputation.
Firstly they now offer free WiFi and don’t charge and I was pleasantly surprised at the complimentary upgrade to a room with a window, new smart TVs larger variety of drinks, upgraded bathroom - always very clean.
For the price I paid and given the location right next to Market St and Northern Quarter - if you need a place to crash and not looking for luxury and have realistic expectations - excellent.
The rooms without a window I actually like - especially in winter they are warm and think blackout curtains.
Always have the best sleep. Appreciate that isn’t always for everyone and often they will upgrade these sometimes with breakfast for £10 a night just ask at check in.
Some of the staff, security and reception can be quite surly and rude some of the time - expect they don’t have an easy job - and some guests can be absolutely vile and sometimes you can tell blanket rule some of them have is all guests are potentially problematic.
Example - I forgot my room number, I always memorise the way to get there rather then the number itself - I know that’s bizarre but started a full on questioning accusing me of pretending to be me and an intruder.
I had my wallet and photo ID to prove I am me - surely this would have been a friendlier more appropriate approach rather than instantly assuming I’m a criminal.
Photo ID worked fine for them to allow me to my room which I had a key for and found just fine.
Just constructive feedback
GGuest UserMy man told me the doors locked yet there wasn’t any batteries to make functional, he also said I looked like a stoner n can happily smoke ****, so I took upon his request and enjoyed my stay to the fullest, was beneficial of the pricing range as the cost was no more then a 3.5 per bedroom
As for the the essential part of the trip, my associate commandeered a new sleeping partner,
