"We stayed here for 1 night but unfortunately the aircon in my room was spoilt, we informed the hotel staff and instead of fixing they told us to live with it and tried to struck off the matter… seriously even though we stayed only 1 night we shouldn’t be treated like that"

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We were satisfied with the room and amenities provided. What we really appreciated was the very kind and thoughtful staff, always serving us with a smile. I enquired about storing my luggage with them for a night after checking out and the staff took note of our request without further explanation. There’s also a sake lounge at the lobby where you can enjoy a variety of sake by purchasing coins from the reception. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"We recently stayed at Hotel Okura in Niigata and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully situated overlooking the Shinano River, providing stunning views, especially during sunset. The location is very convenient, with easy access to the JR Niigata Train Station and Niigata Airport, making it a great base for exploring the area. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We particularly enjoyed the variety of dining options available at the hotel, including a French restaurant and a Japanese restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We appreciated their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any requests we had. "Was given a room with 2 single beds. When I checked with the reception, they said their level 10 was under renovation and that my booking doesn't give me a choice. This is the first time I was told I don't have a choice to the bed configuration. Rooms are not sound proof. We could hear voices from next room.  Room is spacious by Japanese standard, and location is good, near to Bandai Pier and fashion shopping. We could walk to the train station in 10 minutes.  Enjoyed our stay."

"A standard business hotel with a good location, next to the JR station, and a lively place with food and drinks nearby. The hotel has a contracted flat parking lot, which is a 3-minute walk away. You need to take your ticket card to the counter, and the service staff will give you another ticket card. When you leave, swipe the parking ticket card first and then swipe the ticket card given by the hotel. Both cards need to be swiped to exit the parking lot. The bed is moderately soft and hard, but the pillow is very flat and has no support. I got a stiff neck the next day... There is a free drink vending machine for guests in the lobby, and there are also supplies available, which is quite good"

"Nice hotel withe rooms of various sizes. For me it was spacious enough. Bed was comfortable, would have liked one more cushion. Room was clean an I liked that i could open the window. It was quite hot in the room because the heater was turned on. Even if i turned it off hot air came out. Room was clean and had everything i needed. You can also get things at the front desk. Breakfast was buffetstyle and really very good with a lot of choises, both Japanese, local and western. Location was very convenient near the train station. About max a 5 minutes walk. Near the hotel there are a lot of places to eat or have a drink. At the station is a shopping mall."

"During the cherry blossom season in 2025, I chose Dormy Inn in all three cities. What I like most about Dormy Inn Niigata is that the room door faces the open-air atrium, which is spacious and bright, with fresh air, much more comfortable than the closed corridor. It is rare to find a hotel with this structure, and I really like it."

"I stayed by car. The location was about 25 minutes walk from Niigata Station, but about 10 minutes walk from the Bandai Bus Center and Nishibori area, so I thought it was a good location considering the ease of parking since I went around Niigata City. The building is a little old, but it was clean, the facilities were sufficient, and the customer service was good, so I was very satisfied."

"The public bath was very large and comfortable. In addition, the fitness room was also available for free, and there was a convenience store, and the facilities were substantial. I think it was good that there were many elevators and it was not very crowded. I thought it would be a little troublesome only for the opportunity system at check-in, so I hope it will be improved."

"It's right by the south exit of the station! It's nice to have a hotel near the station when it's raining ^_^ The main shopping area is on the north side of the station, so it's a quiet area on the opposite side. There is no convenience store at the hotel, but there is one nearby. It's not in the main shopping area, but there is a quiet shopping area towards the south exit, so it's sufficient. I think the breakfast is good for a business hotel! I think they prepare lunch, but if you go late for breakfast, you feel rushed. It can't be helped (lol)"
