"We had a wonderful 7-day stay at this hotel at the end of February with our 4-year-old child, and overall, we were very satisfied with our vacation. The beach is excellent: there are plenty of sunbeds, and they are spaced far apart, so it never feels crowded. The sand is soft, and the entrance to the sea is gentle and comfortable, with very few shells. There are lifeguard towers along the beach, which adds a sense of safety. A large bar offers soft drinks, alcohol, and coffee, along with two smaller bars. There are changing cabins, and the sunbeds and umbrellas are sturdy and well-maintained. The beach staff are attentive and helpful—they assist with towels, clean sunglasses, and bring drinks. There is also beach entertainment, including yoga, bachata and zumba dancing, pétanque, and beach volleyball. Paddleboard rental and a gym are also available, which adds to the variety of activities. Breakfast was diverse and fresh. There are live cooking stations for omelets, pancakes, and waffles, as well as traditional Egyptian dishes prepared on the spot. We also enjoyed the honey station, two types of porridge, a wide selection of pastries and bread, including freshly baked flatbreads. There is a large variety of salads, vegetables, cheeses, cold cuts, fish, sausages, and fruits such as kiwi, melon, apples, guava, and fruit salads. We tried massages from three different therapists, and all of them were very good. We definitely recommend taking time to enjoy the spa services. Music is thoughtfully integrated throughout the hotel. In the main restaurant, you can enjoy pleasant classical piano or jazz music. In the afternoon, the café with donuts features live performances such as guitar, saxophone, violin, or vocals. In the evening, there is a lively entertainment program with singing and dancing, and at night, there is a nightclub near the stage. The staff truly stand out—they are attentive, responsive, and always willing to help with any request. They are especially kind to children, which made our stay even more enjoyable. A special thanks to the manager for the exceptional care and professionalism. The rooms are spacious and well-designed, with a separate sleeping area and a cozy lounge space with a sofa and TV. The walk-in wardrobe is a big advantage, with plenty of hangers and storage space, as well as a safe. The bed, pillows, and blankets are very comfortable, ensuring great sleep quality. Housekeeping is excellent: the room was cleaned daily, towels (including beach towels) were changed every day, and bed linen was changed upon request. There are three à la carte restaurants—Asian, Italian, and Lebanese—which are a great way to diversify your evenings. Reservations are made in advance at the Viennese café. The service is efficient, the staff are attentive, and the food is delicious and authentic. The hotel is located in the Sahl Hasheesh area. About a 10-minute walk away is the main square, with a shopping street, cafés, and playgrounds nearby. We recommend visiting a charming artisan shop near the square—you can find unique souvenirs and take great photos. There were a few minor downsides: at the end of February, it can be quite windy. Although the air temperature was around 22–24°C and the sea 18–20°C, the wind made it chilly when getting out of the water, so bringing warm clothes is a good idea. The hotel does not have heated pools. Also, the kids’ club was not operating during our stay, and there was limited entertainment for children, with no evening kids’ disco. Despite these small issues, we had a fantastic and relaxing holiday and would happily return."

Before booking Steigenberger Aqua Magic Hurghada, we did our research—watched videos, checked reviews, and set our expectations accordingly. Listed as a 5-star hotel on Google and TripAdvisor, we expected a premium experience. However, once we arrived, we quickly realized that the reality fell far short of the rating. 1. The “All-Inclusive” That Isn’t Quite All-Inclusive The hotel advertises six restaurants, but the all-inclusive package only grants access to three—and even that comes with strict limitations. You must stay at least five nights to even qualify for reservations; otherwise, the buffet is your only guaranteed option. But even if you meet the criteria, getting a reservation is a struggle, and once inside, you’re pushed to pay extra for items outside the package. The upselling is relentless, from premium wines to certain dishes, turning what should be a relaxing meal into a sales pitch. Oh, and if you were hoping for fresh juice with breakfast? Extra charge. 2. Facilities: Decent, But Not 5-Star Worthy ✔ The pool, beach area, and lounge are well-maintained. ✔ Bars are available all day, and staff work hard to keep areas clean. ✖ Some rooms show clear signs of neglect, making this feel nowhere near a true 5-star hotel. If this hotel were truly 5-star, there wouldn’t be visible maintenance issues, questionable service, and inconsistent quality across the board."

"This was my first time staying at a hotel of this brand. The overall facilities were excellent, and the service was very warm and welcoming. The only downside was the food. This beach hotel and the Water Cube hotel are just across the street from each other, door to door. The street is designed like a prop within a tourist attraction, creating a strong sense of unity. The restaurants and beach facilities on both sides are shared, so you can book either one. There are many small shops along the street, staying open late, perfect for an evening stroll. However, there's not much worth buying – mostly generic souvenirs and a ton of counterfeit designer goods. Since we were traveling as a family, we booked a family room. It was quite spacious, facing the swimming pool and the sea, with an unbeatable view. We could fully appreciate the incredibly blue Red Sea and watch the sunrise. The room door opened onto a corridor facing west, offering breathtaking sunset views with the sky ablaze with vibrant colors. The hotel's public areas are very large, with a swimming pool, beach, golf course, diving, surfing, table tennis, billiards, spa, and more. It has everything you could want; it felt like we could stay for a long time. The hotel restaurants are divided into two types: those included in the all-inclusive package and those requiring payment. I have to complain about the fact that while all the restaurants advertised reservations, you could actually eat there without any problems. The main restaurant was absolutely terrible. I ate breakfast and dinner there, and apart from the noodles, eggs, and fruit, everything else was awful. The meat was poor quality; the shrimp and crab were dead (the meat was mushy), the smoked salmon was incredibly salty, the octopus was inedible, and all the juices were diluted. I recommend the poolside restaurant; the drinks and steaks are quite good. The pizza at the beachside restaurant is pretty good. The drinks at the lobby bar are varied and decent, but it's a bit of a shame that the fruit juices aren't free. For this price, if you're not too picky about food, you could easily stay for a few days. Of course, it would be even better if the hotel could add more high-quality restaurants and make reservations easier."

"We had a pleasant stay at Siva Golden Bay Makadi. The hotel is beautiful with an incredible view. Everything is very clean, and our room was spotless. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. A special shout-out to Ahmed, who takes care of the room cleaning, and Hussein Ali, who kindly offered us a late check-out. The beach is magnificent, the pool is very clean, and the facilities are varied and of good quality. Regarding the food, it was okay. The afternoon barbecue was quite good, as was dinner, but we really didn't like the breakfast. The only downside is that the hotel is far from the city center, but it's perfect for getting away from it all. We didn't encounter any French tourists at the hotel; there's a strong Slavic presence, so it definitely felt like a complete change of scenery. We recommend it a thousand times over."

The hotel delivered excellence in all areas: food, service, cleanliness, activities, pools, and the beach. Everything was well-organized, smooth, and enjoyable. Even though the hotel was undergoing some renovation work, we barely noticed anything. The entire experience felt seamless. The staff truly stood out. Every team member greeted us with a smile, was helpful, polite, and consistently professional. Their teamwork and positive attitude made a big difference, and we felt genuinely well taken care of throughout our stay. Our children absolutely loved it. We have travelled to many countries, but this hotel in Hurghada clearly stands out when it comes to service level, activities, and the number of pools and facilities available. The beach was large and clean, the pools and waterpark offered plenty of variety and capacity, and everything felt safe and family-friendly. It is a place that perfectly suits small children, teenagers, and adults alike. Our room was exactly as described—spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The cleaning was excellent, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The hotel impressed us especially with its day- and evening activities for both children and adults. There was always something fun to do, and the variation ensured that every day felt different. We will definitely return. In fact, we were already discussing our next trip before we even got back home. Our children truly did not want to leave. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

"We love this hotel. This is our first time in Hurghada and we made a great decision to stay here. The hotel is nice and clean, the room facing a swimming pool, with great AC, the only downside is the water pressure at the bathroom is a bit low. We stayed here for 7 days, during our stay we enjoyed all the hotel facilities. You will never go hungry staying in this hotel 😂 they have many restaurants with a lot of options for food. We will come back here for sure."
