"Check in was easy and fast same with check out. The breakfast was platted and i was hoping for buffet for its price but all was delicious and in good serving size. The was excellent and we're able to sleepy soundly. From its free toiletries they dont have rm slippers but having water dispenser on the floor was really convenient. The location was excellent, the hotel staff was really accommodating and worth the price for us to return in the future."

"Mercure Mactan went the extra mile to make us happy on our wedding anniversary. There was a cake waiting for us inside the room, and it was so delicious that we finished it right then and there. We were also upgraded to a seaview room which we appreciate a lot. All the staff were amazing - the server who was with us on the lift bring food for a guest, he told us about the amenities on the 3rd floor. The receptionist were amazing too, check in and check out was quick and everything we needed to know they made sure to tell us. Food was superb! Your pinakbet was my favorite. I would recommend Mercure to everyone I know."

"The hotel's location is good; there's a restaurant right next door where we ate every day, and the food was delicious. We had a big issue with the air conditioning. In our first room, it broke on the second day. We asked for it to be fixed, and they offered to move us to another room. It wasn't a quick change; we waited about 4 hours for the room swap, but I'm grateful they did it. However, in the new room, condensation was dripping from the AC unit above ours, and the constant dripping noise filled the room, making it hard to sleep. I suggest they install some kind of drip trays. Other than that, it was okay for a short stay."

"Location is great. It’s near the airport, near the beach, many restaurants and convenience stores around. However the cleanliness of the hotel has so much more to improve. Pillowcases smelled used, so I had it replaced. The duvet cover also has some nasty smell. They do not clean daily. And when they do, they don’t replace towels. They are nice when I’m asking for assistance, but clean sheets and pillows should be a standard and I shouldn’t ask for it pa. Their pool on the third floor is not that safe for children, as some of the tiles are quite lifted up, and it could cause small cut if you’re not careful. But their infinity pool near the beach is great, it’s big and clean. However, water there is expensive, so bring some with you if you decide to go."

"The location is excellent, right in front of SM Mall, which makes everything very convenient.
The room was clean and comfortable, though the power outlets were a bit far from the bed, which was slightly inconvenient.
The breakfast buffet was good, but the dining area isn’t enough big, so it can get crowded and there may be a wait. If you have a breakfast-included plan, it might require a bit of patience.
Overall the staff were friendly and welcoming, and I would likely stay here again."

"This hotel I had been interested in for a long time.
Both the doorman and the reception staff were very pleasant, making the stay comfortable and welcoming. The interior design was also very much to my taste.
The breakfast selection was excellent, with many protein rich dishes, and I was very satisfied.
One thing I noticed was that there were no hand towels provided in the room, so we had to manage with just one bath towel, which was a bit inconvenient.
Overall I would love to visit again."

The price is really cost friendly though the overall service is not that good but I would understand since they have limited personnel. On the booking side, the one posted in this platform is we can have 2 queen beds or 1 queen bed depending on the room availability, but when we arrived, the room accommodates 2 single beds or 1 double for standard type. The advertising is misleading and disappointing. I suggest you update your post and be transparent with your customers. Thank you."

"Overall, the hygiene was good; I didn't encounter any small bugs during my stay. The towels were a bit old, so if you're particular, I'd recommend bringing your own.
The location is very convenient, right near Ayala Mall, just a few minutes' walk away.
Security is also fine, there's a safe in the room. You need to use your room card to access the elevators.
The room isn't very big, so it might feel cramped if you're traveling with children or have a lot of luggage.
The air conditioner and extractor fan were quite noisy. Being close to the street, you could still hear some car noise from outside, even on the 16th floor."

It was truly a dream come true. The service was excellent, it felt so much like coming home, so much happier than going back to my suffocating family home. We received wonderful hospitality and a great stay. The food was also very good, and the massages were both affordable and excellent. I want to go back and stay here again for a while!

GGuest UserWe had a pleasant stay at D Gecko Hotel overall. The hotel is located a bit farther in along an unpaved road, which made the access slightly inconvenient.
We booked a family room, and it was very spacious, perfect for our group. It came with two single beds and one double bed, which made it comfortable for everyone. We also appreciated the small details like having a kettle in the room and a free water dispenser available for refills, which was a big plus.
The only downside for us was the pillows, which were not very comfortable for sleeping. Aside from that, it was a nice stay and good value for families.

GGuest UserThis is an 'one-island-one-hotel' concept, and the environment is beautiful. There are many activities to choose from on the island. We only stayed one day, but you could easily spend more days here and not run out of things to do. You can snorkel on both the east and west sides. On the west side, there are more local guides (outside of the hotel) who can take you snorkeling. Apparently, you can even spot baby sharks, though we didn't see any. Definitely don't arrive at the pier at the last minute for the boat to the island; make sure to get there early.

GGuest UserOverall good experience with Tsai. It's located in the city center near the Cebu IT Park. You can just ride a jeep going to Ayala Terminal where you can ride the bus going to Tops and it's also accessible to malls and restaurants. Our room also has a balcony which is super nice

GGuest UserI love this place because it is a big property with many different parts and things to do. There really many pools, an aqua park, an inflatable island on a large pool, a game room, a bar, a restaurant, a souvenir shop (that also sells basic medicines and toiletry needs), bathrooms, a garden, the beach front. If you are a family with children of different ages and even if you have grandparents in tow, this would be perfect.
They’re not stingy with lounge chairs either and in one pool, you can play volleyball.
Their rooms are good sized and comes with a small ref, hair dryer, a carafe and free tea and coffee. Their breakfast buffet is awesome with sooo many food and drinks to choose from.
There is a BDO cash machine and their staff are very helpful and polite.
Grab food are not allowed to deliver at the lobby, they can only make it to the gate of the property and while it is not far to walk there, you can ask for free shuttle to bring you to the gate to claim your order and then back to the lobby.
They also take credit cards and water stations on each floor where you can refill your water bottles. There are 2 large water bottles in each room.
I think the one issue I have is - I perceived this resort to be family friendly because of the many kinds of activities for different ages but our rooms came with bathrooms that has glass wall where a person outside the bathroom can pull up the blinds. I mean, why? When I booked the rooms, it didn’t mention that the bathroom would be like that. I wish they would provide a distinction during booking so that people who don’t want bathrooms to be like that can avoid it.

As I was rebooking, it was not the same as the first booking then blacked out occured. During the blacked out the my booking end up with only a bed in dorm style quarters, public bathroom and no privacy.
My first booking was a package trip from Cebu to Manila which still in a wrong date. The actual date for the flight was to be on August 19 @ 9:50 but the three agent that I spoke to on the 18th got my hotel canceled and only provided me a rebooked solution. Sure, I can rebooked, thank so much for making my simple trip into **************** with my family, along withy impatient high functioning autism, 24 years old son who doesn't like his iPad to be low battery and no wifi.
To remind you that the black out still happening, so during my aunty and son lunch the black still going. I have no idea what kind of menu and price for food and drinks. As I saw the server put the first plate of food, I was shocked to see the mountain square shape nacho cheese beyond understanding. My aunty is only 90 to 100 pounds. She doesn't speak English and doesn't understand what she ordered, so she asked question about salad and a slice of pizza. But that not what the server brought, he came out again carrying nacho cheese, same size as the first nacho cheese/beef, except the second is chicken then a whole large Canadian bacon pizza. I couldn't believe the amount of food that was ordered then a Red Bull for my autistic son? My aunty was repeatedly saying that she only want salad and a slice pizza then water. What she really wanted the cook and server wanted to do is take away all the food back including the Red Bull. Oh, one more set of food, two big pieces of Burrito. The hotel is still in black out and stuffy hot and dark.
The staff are not good listener. My son started eating and drinking the Red Bull, when I saw him, I told the staff that Red Bull straight might kill him of a heart attack. I also mentioned that my son doesn't know self control when it comes to food which is called glutenny . He already pass his regular weight. I heard my aunty said that my son ordered all the food; she had no idea what he was ordering.
Meanwhile the black out still continuing till around 5:30 pm, every building around the area has their electricity back on but not the Papabo. Our booking still in process. The manager charged me for the lunch even though the mistake was the their service, taking order from an autistic person instead of asking his parents. The manager decided to booked us in the one room that has two bunk bed, private bathroom and has windows cause still black out. The room is stuffy and hot, it's on the fourth floor, no elevator and dark to go up the stairs. We decided to lock up our things in the room cause still black out.
My aunty over heard that the electricity bill was not paid. So as soon as I got down. The manager charged me 1500 pesos cash plus 1200 pesos for lunch that I only got to eat two slices of pizza and a couple of bite of nacho beef. I didn't get to have the burritos. The Papabo manager quickly went to pay for their electricity bill after she spoke to the owner.
My aunty and me went to the beach. I for sure locked the bedroom and still no electriçity. My son went to 7/11 to charge the iPad. We got back at the hotel at 8:30 or so and the electricity was on and my son also in the in the hotel. Do recognized that the hotel keys was an actual key, and I only have the key with. In my surprised our bedroom door was wide open, our things are scattered on the chair and table. Now, just today at this time, I'm still looking for my necklace that has my Mom piece of earing, my oldest son alligator tooth pendant and my initial pendant A.
I'll call the hotel when I finished looking at our things here.Yap, my necklace is missing.

Was just a bit disappointed at time of check-in when asked if early check-in was possible. Not because that the room wasn’t ready yet but it’s because of the Receptionist’s (Rhea-wearing eye glasses) approach and responses to the said request. Nevertheless, had a good stay and might be coming back to stay.

The ”rooms” are actually indoor tents, which is a unique experience. Even though you're in a tent, the air conditioning in the main area is strong, so it stays cool enough to sleep comfortably. The location is the best part—you are right in the middle of everything, close to malls and transport. Just keep in mind that since it’s a shared space, it can get a bit noisy when other people move around or unzip their tents. If you bring earplugs and don’t mind sharing a bathroom, you really can’t beat the price. For a low-budget stay, it’s a solid 4/5 stars.

BBoris AtamanenkoIt's a mixed bag. The location is excellent, offering a different, good sea every day. For safe swimming, you need to follow the tide schedule. The hotel grounds and plants are very well maintained; they're beautiful and clean. There's a long stretch of beach for strolls. Logistically convenient – there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops selling travel essentials, and a market with fresh produce nearby. A major drawback is the large construction site nearby, which can be heard all day, especially in the bungalows nearby. The rooms and bungalows are in fair condition. However, there are some serious downsides: every other day, it was impossible to shower due to low water pressure; when the pressure was low, the water heater wouldn't turn on; and the water had a strong sewer smell. At breakfast, the restaurant won't offer you salt, pepper, or sauces unless you ask. Drinks include juice from concentrate or coffee. Only after a week did we discover they offer tea for breakfast. The breakfast is very basic, and there's no fruit at all, which is surprising given the price of fruit on the island. There was trash on the beach all week, just a little bit, washed up by the sea. It was cleaned up quickly, as it didn't require much effort. But why is the beach cleaned only once a week? The hotel website advertises a shuttle service, but I advise against it. Personal experience: I sent a text message and email to the hotel on time; our ferry departed at 5:30 PM. We arrived on the island around 7:00 PM. We weren't met. We got there ourselves. A hotel security guard met us at the hotel and gave us our room keys. It immediately became clear that the light switch in the bathroom was causing lightning and could shock us, and the water heater wasn't working. The security guard said, ”Take this up with the management tomorrow; my concern is safety.” Information about room problems is not passed on to the management. So, we spent the first night without hot water or power in the bathroom. After we contacted them, they gave us a working room mid-way through the second day. They didn't apologize for the missed shuttle service, and they didn't offer the stated compensation for our independent transfer. Moreover, I received a welcome email from the hotel after only one day of my stay. The hotel has adequate staff, and the people are positive and friendly. However, management, quality control, and leadership are seriously flawed. The rooms are overloaded with text reminders, rules, and restrictions, many of which would be confusing to a normal person. Or does the hotel manager think only people with dementia stay at their hotel? Reminders and restrictions are completely unnecessary if guests are greeted promptly and the necessary information is provided electronically in their native language.
