HONEST EXPERIENCE and Please read for the CONS🧡 Bluewater Sumilon Island is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve visited. The private island setting, surrounded by clear waters, creates a unique and relaxing experience. We also appreciated that the resort provides complimentary boat transfers for checked-in guests. The transfer was smooth, organized, and only took around 15 minutes. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with complete amenities and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Although our assigned room was quite far from the main areas, the resort’s shuttle service helped make transportation easier. The food exceeded our expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were served buffet-style, offering a wide variety of choices. Everything was well-prepared and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff. The activity guides, lifeguards, restaurant staff, and service personnel were consistently warm, welcoming, and accommodating. They were approachable and attentive to our requests throughout our stay. We also had an unexpected medical situation involving one of our senior companions, and we were grateful that there was a nurse on duty. The assistance and care provided were professional and reassuring, especially since the incident happened in the evening. However, there were also areas that could be improved. Our experience with the reception staff was disappointing compared to the excellent service provided by the rest of the team. Communication felt rushed, and at times multiple guests were being addressed simultaneously, which came across as unprofessional and less welcoming. The resort shuttle service also seemed overwhelmed during peak hours. With many guests needing transportation around the island, waiting times became longer. Adding more service vehicles could significantly improve convenience, especially for seniors, children, and guests with mobility concerns. Our biggest concern was the lack of exclusivity despite the resort’s positioning as a premium private island destination. The resort accommodates a large number of day-tour guests who share many of the same facilities. As a result, areas such as the sandbar, swimming pools, and lounge spaces often felt crowded. There were times when finding available benches or fully enjoying the facilities became difficult because of the volume of day visitors. For a resort that markets itself as a luxury private island experience, this was quite disappointing. While we understand the value of day tours for the business, overnight guests paying premium rates should ideally enjoy a more exclusive experience and better access to resort facilities. Overall, Bluewater Sumilon Island offers stunning scenery, excellent food, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding service from most of its staff. However, improvements in guest exclusivity, transportation availability, and front desk service would greatly enhance the overall experience and better justify its premium pricing.

This was my third time staying at Maayo Hotel, and it remains a solid choice in Cebu. Rooms: Clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. A thoughtful touch was the complimentary Growers nuts and granola bar provided in the room. Breakfast: Overall okay with a good selection. What really stood out for me was the kaya toast and the suman—both were delicious and definitely a highlight of the morning spread!

The hotel is a 5-minute walk to Ayala shopping mall which is good. The hotel itself is so nice and clean and the room is so spacious with huge bed. the buffet breakfast is ok with variety of food. Yet, they do not serve ”Puto” (sticky rice) which i long so much. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

This hotel is located in Mactan Newtown, which is known for being the safest, cleanest, and most modern area. Across the street, you'll find the Mercure (formerly Belmont) Hotel and Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips. The private beach and outdoor pool are major advantages of the Savoy. The breakfast restaurant operates as an all-day dining establishment. With popular restaurants and spas within a 5-minute radius, the Savoy is always an excellent choice for accommodation.

My boyfriend and I, Koreans, stayed here for two nights! When we first arrived at the lobby and checked in, they helped us with our luggage, offered welcome drinks, and mentioned a 3,000 peso deposit. It's an old building, so it's a bit dated, but it's a beautiful hotel with an antique and tranquil atmosphere. The location might be difficult to reach on foot if you don't use a Grab taxi. However, because it's a bit secluded, it's great for a quiet, relaxing getaway. The private beach and pool were conveniently close, and there were several paid activities available at the sea. I booked a boating tour, and from morning to afternoon (you can buy a packed lunch from the hotel or choose a service that includes a meal), we went by boat to snorkeling spots to swim and play. The downsides were that the room lacked bathrobes, room slippers, and body wash. The air conditioner was old, so it was noisy, and there was an unavoidable musty smell. Also, Grab delivery wasn't available, so we had to eat food we bought from convenience stores! The advantages are the hotel's private and quiet location, plus the excellent staff service. There were only two designated smoking areas, which created a clean environment without indiscriminate smoking, which I appreciated. They provided beach towels when using the pool, which was very helpful. While the hotel breakfast wasn't as varied as I expected, it was enough to start the day feeling full. It wasn't luxurious, but it had all the basics: noodles, bread, fruit, meat, soup, etc. The kimchi was a bit shocking – it was cabbage mixed with gochujang, which was truly surprising. Facilities include a gym, an internal bar, and more. Even though the room condition wasn't perfectly ideal, it was a hotel where the facilities were worth using, taking that into account.

The service, honestly, what can I say. I scanned the QR code given by the front desk from my room and ordered two drinks via the official website's chat. It showed 'read' but there was no reply. After half an hour with no response, I called the front desk to inquire and ordered again. They said they'd call me when it was ready. Little did I know, the hotel phone just wouldn't connect; it would ring once and then disconnect. Ordering a drink ended up being a two-hour ordeal! The facilities are decent; there's a swimming pool and a beach. However, the room windows don't open. Breakfast was okay too. One thing to note: if you plan to take a taxi to the city center and want to use the hotel's shuttle, it's best to confirm the time with them, as it only runs once a day. If you try to get a Grab yourself, it can take ages sometimes. And if you ask the guy at the entrance to hail a taxi for you, they'll start at 1000 pesos.

I've stayed here before and it became my favorite hotel, so I booked it again. The biggest draw of this hotel is undoubtedly the high-value resort experience it offers. This time, we booked the top-tier suite (triple room) for three people, and it was incredibly affordable at around 10,000 yen per person. The room was well-equipped, even having two toilets. Waking up in the morning and opening the window revealed a stunning view of the pool and blue sky, and breakfast allowed us to enjoy a resort-like meal while gazing at the beach and pool. If I had to pick a point for improvement, the slippers were reusable instead of disposable. It would be even better if disposable ones were provided. Other than that, it's a five-star hotel with absolutely no complaints.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino. The room was comfortable and clean, and the facilities were well maintained. The location was very convenient, especially for travelling to and from the airport. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and provided good service throughout my stay. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience, and I would be happy to stay here again.

We spent a lovely family holiday at Solea Seaview Resort during the Chinese New Year break and had a really enjoyable stay. The staff were consistently helpful and welcoming. Our room was a good size, in reasonable condition, with clean bed linen and towels. The balcony offered a beautiful sea view, which we truly appreciated every day. Breakfast was also very nice, with a wide variety of food options to choose from. The absolute highlight for us was the number of swimming pools and the fantastic aquapark — free of charge for guests — plus a trampoline area for a small additional fee. The children absolutely loved it! The hotel also encourages guests to leave reviews, and as a lovely compliment, my son received free access to the children’s playroom — such a thoughtful touch. The beach is not the most Instagrammable, but the sea was perfectly fine for swimming practice. One small downside was that the gym operates only from 8am to 8pm, so late-night training isn’t possible if that’s your preference. Overall, a solid 4 out of 5 — good value for money and a great option for a family holiday.
