It is an old hotel, I had no problems and it was very good. The breakfast was great. Only the rooms are very noisy from the street, even during the middle of the night. The location of the hotel is also good, close to Tahrir Square.

Throughly enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn in Maadi. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is close to the Pyramids of Giza , however if you a quiet morning person , the traffic can get a bit loud as the hotel is situated right next to the main road. The room did not meet my expectation as advertised on trip.com when asked about some of the amenities, they advised that the holiday has been reconstructed and they still need to update some of the pictures on trip.com , maybe just call and make sure about the specifics of certain pictures. Other than that, great breakfast, fantastic pool vibes and the sushi is to die for, a must try!

It is not far from the Cairo Museum in the downtown of Cairo's old town. In a small alley, it is more difficult to find. It is recommended to translate the hotel address into Arabic. The local driver in Cairo is not very good at English. The hotel room is generally watered in public areas. The service is quite enthusiastic, the floor is relatively low, the door is locked at night, and the hotel does not provide slippers.

Because I left for Cairo International Airport at 2pm the next day, I rushed back to Cairo from Hurghada and booked this hotel for one night, but it was surprisingly good! The hotel is very large, like a small apartment, with a small living room and appliances such as a stove, a large refrigerator, and a microwave. It's a pity that I only stayed for one night.

Facilities: outdated, full of age Hygiene: general Environment: Surrounded by a swimming pool, watching an open-air game at night Service: The girl at the front desk is very good, arranged early check-in, the main facilities are relatively old, others are OK Pay attention to Google map, do not navigate by the English name of the hotel, otherwise you will navigate to a village in the city 8km away, just remove the address of the jewel, check the hotel address before navigating

GGuest UserI have traveled to several countries and stayed in many five-star hotels. In a poor country like Cairo, I am really surprised that there is such a high-end and cost-effective hotel. This hotel has cured me of all the travel fatigue for half a month and made my children happy. .I am happy. I feel like I am a princess 👸 being pampered. And I am really high-end and classy. The ceiling of Egypt.

FFarisalhosniI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton in Zamalek, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled on the tranquil island of Zamalek, this hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was seamless. The check-in process was swift and efficient, and I was delighted to find my room impeccably clean and well-appointed, with stunning views of the Nile River. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable, providing me with restful nights throughout my stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the hotel's dining options. The breakfast buffet was diverse and delicious, offering a wide range of local and international dishes to suit all tastes. I particularly enjoyed the freshly baked pastries and the made-to-order omelets. The on-site restaurants also did not disappoint, serving exquisite meals in an elegant setting. The amenities at Hilton Zamalek are top-notch. The fitness center is well-equipped with modern machines, and the outdoor pool area is a peaceful oasis where I could unwind after a day of exploring Cairo. The hotel's location is perfect for sightseeing, with many of the city's attractions just a short drive away. Overall, my stay at the Hilton in Zamalek exceeded all expectations. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location makes this hotel a standout choice in Cairo. I look forward to returning on my next visit to the city and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable stay. ---

GGuest UserI was in Cairo for one night so needed a hotel near the airport. The hotel arranges a free shuttle service to and from the airport which is very convenient. The rooms are fine and the hotel has all the amenities that you would want (multiple restaurants, swimming pool, and gym). Perfect for an over night stay in between flights

GGuest UserThis hostel has a good location and I would say that it is pretty walkable in the early morning and very late at night but the walking infrastructure is not the best in Cairo. Mid day the traffic makes it very tricky to walk around even though there are many good restaurants and attractions nearby. Finding it is a little tricky but it is down an alley that doesn't allow cards and it is located on floor 2 of an older building. There is an elevator but all doors and gates need to be closed in order for it to work and we found guests at the hostel weren't good at closing after themselves. The staff are very kind and welcoming but we got a bit hung up on the payment. We booked on Trip with the ”Pay at the Hotel” option for 3100 Egyptian pounds for three nights in a private room but they were asking for 3600 when we were checking in. After a little back and forth they let us check in and gave us the keys so we could rest and wait for the manager's answer. The manager said no to our booked rate, we were told we booked on ******* and we now had to pay 3900 Egyptian pounds. I'm at a loss of words for this discrepancy between Trip and the hostel but there weren't better deals in the area we wanted to stay and we very reluctantly paid. The room was just a place to sleep with a box to the side where our shower and toilet were. The box had no ceiling or ventilation so there were smells throughout the room from the drains. The beds were comfy but were not completely clean when we arrived - there was hairs in the bed sheets. The room cleanliness overall could have been better. The area is quiet at night and we got a good night's rest to spend our days exploring Cairo. The breakfast was ok but there wasn't much room to eat in the common areas during our stay so we asked for breakfast in our room during our stay. We had a simple breakfast with a fried egg, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, banana, tea/coffee and Arabic bread. It is enough to get you through until lunch and is served starting at 8 pm. There is a convenience store close by that offers fairly priced snacks and drinks which you might want to seek out because they do not provide water at this hostel. We hope this property improves because it seems like it used to be really good and the location is good as well.

AAnonymous UserIn general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights. Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building. * Location & Transportation Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum. And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price. In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones. Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it. * Building and room conditions Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room. It is quite convenient a washstand in each room. However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler. It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel. * Cleanness & Safety Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this. * Services There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water. Wifi is too weak to use the internet. Other services like laundry are satisfied. * Others During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally. In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better. And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable. Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.

AAnonymous UserSemen (male ejaculate) on the window was a disgusting surprise, but it fit with other problems (usb ort needed fixing & only worked with TV on, dreadful cold watery ”alfredo” that had no spoon for tasteless sauce, demand for cash to pay room service that robbed me of taxi money I'd saved to see souk, disappointing breakfast with ”beef bacon” a whitish chemical sausage, inedible noodles & boiled ”curried vegetables” & general vibe that was creepy for solo female. GGuest UserThis hotel was better than expected. We didnt stay at our usual hotel as the prices for Cairo currently are very high so this was the first time at this hotel. The location is really good - pharmacies, restaurants, kiosks and a Metro market all with 30 seconds walk of the hotel and of course Zamalek is really central so a good hub for Uber and getting around the city. Prior reviews are pretty bad but we found the hotel incredibly clean, the side nile view room we had was large, well appointed, the furniture was certainly not tired and we were pleased with the room from a comfort and business perspective. WIFI worked well, a desk in the room and settee and the bed was GREAT. They really dont have any facilities and there is no gym which is an issue for us but we knew this before booking but there are many gyms close by so dont let this be an issue - just GOOGLE! The breakfast by Egyptian standards was alright. The big plus is the omlette/egg station and they also do morning crepes. Fruit, hot food section, breads,, salads etc and frankly it does the job. Egyptians do breakfast really well so although this is a bit below par on an Egyptian level - on a European level it is very good compared to your travelodges and Holiday Inn Express's in the UK. The staff as always are friendly, attentive and yes you need to tip but this is the same in all Egypt - average tip is 20 EGP. Leave something to housekeeping and you will get lot of extras eg extra coffee etc. I liked the hotel, the other reviewers I think may have been there as tourists expecting something different but frankly this is a good tourist class hotel and its always a good sign when you see Egyptians staying which there were.
