"I had a very satisfying stay here. First off, the location is excellent – right in the bustling heart of downtown Cairo, yet surprisingly quiet. It's just a 10-15 minute walk to the Egyptian Museum and a nearby metro station, and about a 20-minute stroll to the Nile River. There are plenty of restaurants and bakeries around, making dining and shopping very convenient. The room had a fully equipped kitchen, which was great for making breakfast, and there was a common lounge area on our floor. Getting to Cairo Airport by Uber only took about 30 minutes."

"The location is the best by the river Nile. Room with balcony and river view is best to see the Nile and the great pyramids by distance. I enjoyed the views. The service is good. The room is okay. The furnitures in the balcony are in poor state. Bathroom needs refurnishing ."

"Hotel was good overall , considering its price and location. The entrance is actually at the back alley from the main street but it is not dangerous even for ladies. You will need to take the lift up to the 5 th floor reception where they will greet you. Breakfast was served at their ‘restaurant’ and cannot be taken away. They serve at 8am , which I think is a little late since many tours starts around that time too. Breakfast is hearty so we enjoyed it very much ! For the room, it is ok. The building is old so we can’t complain too much. Room is clean and big , so is the toilet. We were also told that we have to leave our keys at the reception when we head out for the day. Then when we come back we can collect the keys again at the reception. Not ideal since we planned to leave some cash and some valuables in the room. We had no problem with our items but you may consider this if you are concern about privacy of your property. Overall we had a good stay."

"Very nice and safe, I like it there the breakfast is marvellous, if you are from Asia and a solo traveller, you are highly recommend to stay in this hotel, they even have a souvenior right at the lobby. The dinner is a buffet, but is slightly pricey The location is very near cairo muesuem, good to go on last day"

"This hotel is right in the heart of the bustling city center. There are tons of places to eat downstairs, and you can easily walk to a Chinese restaurant. The room was really clean, and the duvets were incredibly comfortable – they seemed like high-quality down comforters, definitely a splurge! They were even better than those I've had in hotels costing over a thousand yuan. Breakfast was super generous, and you could even order coffee to be delivered directly to your room. However, there's one issue: it's facing the street. It feels like people in Cairo never sleep; there were motorcycle noises even in the middle of the night. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to avoid this room, or bring earplugs, or ask the hotel to put you on the other side of the building."

"I caught the early flight to the airport. I had a few simple breakfasts and went to the lobby. After waiting for the arrival of the shuttle bus, I found that I accidentally left the passport bag and there was cash in the restaurant bag. After a while, the staff helped me deliver it very much. But later, when I got off the plane and exchanged money, I found that the cash inside must have lost the cash banknote of 250💶. The whole passport bag in Egypt was with me all the way. I lost almost ten minutes at this moment, and then unfortunately I had to end my trip to Egypt. I have left a message to the hotel to adjust the monitoring, but I don't know if there is any feedback and whether it can be found. At present, people have been to Tunisia to play, and the cash euros for the hotel are not enough！ 赶早班机去机场，简单吃了几口早餐去大厅等接送大巴到时后，发现不小心遗落护照包在餐厅包里有现金，不一会儿有工作人员帮忙送了过来很感谢，但是后来下飞机换钱的时候却发现里面的现金定丢失了现金纸币250💶。整个护照包埃及全程都在身边，就这一会儿丢了差不多十分钟，然后很遗憾得结束了埃及之旅。 已经给酒店留言调监控但是不知道有没有反馈，能不能找回来。目前人到突尼斯 玩了，付酒店的现金欧元都不够了，晕😵💫！"

"My stay at Sofitel Downtown Cairo was genuinely pleasant and absolutely worth the money. The hotel delivers a high standard of comfort, but what truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional staff. Special thanks to Ahmed Zakarya at the front desk for his professionalism and warm welcome. Appreciation as well to Shaker from housekeeping for his attentiveness and consistency. I would also like to extend special thanks to the ladies at Solana, the breakfast restaurant—Zakeyh and Hanan—who are truly the gems of the restaurant. Their kindness, energy, and attention to detail made breakfast a highlight of each day. Overall, a very enjoyable stay, driven by excellent service and a strong hospitality culture. I would gladly stay here again."

"Excellent location near Tahrir Square / Egyptian Museum and Sadat Metro Station. Staff were excellent in particular the manager Mr Ahmed receptionist Alaa and house keeping Azze. Breakfast was good. 7 floors reception and communal lounge on top floor. Whilst we were there I was admitted to hospital they checked up on me daily via my wife and friend who was also staying at the hotel. Warm welcome back when I recovered. About 20 to 30 minute car journey to GEM and the Giza Plateau / Pyramids and Sphinx. About 45 minutes to an hour drive to both Sphinx and Cairo Airports"

"Excellent place and great people I was visiting Cairo for several days to refresh old memories because I have lived in Zamalek 50 years ago. I looked for the hotel just somewhere in the heart of Northern part of Zamalek, and location at Taha Hussein street was the best possible option, so I have chosen The President hotel. I had just general expectations as from regular three star hotel, but staff and hotel amenities have exceeded my humble expectations far beyond! The room was very clean and spacious, slippers, toothbrush, shower supplies, teapot, tea, coffee bags, minibar - everything was very nice and provided. Starting from security at entrance and reception (I was put to the level where restaurant is for my convenience), everyone was very nice and polite to me. Housekeeping by Mohammed Eldeep was perfect. Service at breakfast was outstanding (and at dinner too), and chef Mitu had cooked the most delicious food with personal attention and kindness. And tour service provided by manager Dahy was beyond perfection - utmost and ultimately outstanding and fabulous. I was taking complex trips around the city and transfer to the airport. With the greatest scrutinous attention to details from Dahy I got excellent service and very professional drivers so my trips were exceptionally planned and fulfilled in time. To wrap up, I strongly recommend the President hotel due to mostly positive and splendid emotions I have received there during my 3-nights stay. Area has great infrastructure once you need 24/7 groceries, pharmacy or ATM. Don't recommend to drive in Zamalek, better take cab or walk."
