The 'from scratch kitchen' ethos means the pub chefs make everything 'in house' from their sourdough bread baked every morning, to their brown sauce served at breakfast, all homemade, with love. The menu includes stone-baked pizza, pub classics and daily specials. Be sure to book if you plan to eat at the pub because it does get (reassuringly) busy, especially on weekends. Breakfast is served every morning in the pub (price not included in the room rate). The breakfast menu includes interesting options such as their famous 'hangover hash browns' and the 'acai bowl with homemade granola and seasonal berries'; fresh, locally roasted coffee, loose leaf tea and cold pressed juices. The service is warm, friendly and professional. The village of Monkton Combe is a walker/runners/cyclists dream with hundreds of world class countryside routes at your doorstep.
