Bath Homestays

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Chestnuts Boutique B&B! I was able to park up my car at the front of the establishment and walk around Bath for the rest of my visit! Attractions and places of interest were around a 15 minute walk away- which is fantastic! The host was so helpful and attentive. My room was clean and comfortable! I had access to plenty of wardrobe space,a TV with Netflix, a fridge, kettle and a well stocked box of tea treats (& fresh cakes too!) Breakfast was gorgeous and fresh. There were plenty of local leaflets available to read about local events and attractions too. Thank you very much!

The hotel's logo is unclear, the exterior photos are inconsistent with the ones listed online, and it is difficult to find it by car. The booked room was completely different from the one introduced on xc, and was smaller in size. You have to send an email before checking in. It will be troublesome if you don't check in at the specified time. The location of the hotel is pretty good, about 16 minutes' walk from the scenic spot. The interior decoration of the room is very elegant, and the breakfast has many varieties and is delicious.

The hostess is very welcoming, the room is clean, warm, with shoes, the breakfast is good, a typical English breakfast, the hostess is very patient to let us choose. The overall environment is good. Parking is possible. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Baths

A typical British family homestay, there are five rooms, we were full when we came, all British, it should be good for local reputation. But the location is on the mountain, it is very easy to walk down the mountain to the town, you must take a taxi back, otherwise you will be very tired to climb the mountain. There is a Alexandra Park near the homestay, which is a classic location overlooking the small town of Bath. It takes about ten minutes to walk. We booked this hotel last minute and we were delighted by the quality, location and service. The breakfast was cooked to order with high quality ingredients. It was wonderful to stay in such a beautiful Geirgian townhouse so close to the Abbey. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location is good, too close to the train station, less than 5 minutes walk, right on the main street. The landlord guy is very handsome. The room we stayed in was better, with two beds, the room would be a bit smaller, but there was a wash basin in the room, and the bathroom was public, but it was relatively clean. It is close to the main street, but the windows have two floors, and the sound insulation is better, and the curtains are good for shading. Breakfast is included, and the boss can also fry eggs, bacon, and sausages, which is also free. It's very close to the city, and it's very convenient to walk to all the attractions. After all, Bath is not big. In peak season, housing prices are high, except for slightly higher prices.

Stayed at Wentworth House for one night. The location was handy — only about a 6 or 7-minute taxi ride into the centre of Bath. Parking on site was free, which is always a bonus, though spaces were limited. The shower worked fine with good hot water, and at £120 a night for three people, the price wasn’t unreasonable for Bath. On the downside, the place is very dated and could do with some serious modernisation. Our room had a noticeable damp smell and the single-glazed windows didn’t help keep the room warm or quiet. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there, but overall, it’s an okay option if you just need somewhere for a night and aren’t too fussy — though a refresh would really lift the place.
