Kamenoi Hotel Aso Park Resort
"What I loved -Super big room with plenty of space. Very comfortable! -Free yukata and sleepwear were provided, and they were really comfortable to wear. -Loved the onsen experience! There are different onsen baths, and everything is connected indoors so you don't have to go outside. -Buffet dinner and breakfast were amazing. So much variety, and the Aso milk was incredibly fresh and delicious. -The room had a beautiful view. Waking up to the scenery was one of the highlights of the stay. -Great place to relax, and I would definitely bring my family back next time. What could be better -The open-air parking lot is quite large, and some parking spaces are a bit far from the hotel lobby."
Aso Ama Guesthouse
"We had a great time here! The location is great, very close to Aso Shrine. You can easily explore the area from here. Everything was new and clean and the hosts were helpful and very kind! Would highly recommend it!"
KAMENOI HOTEL ASO
"The best hotel stay for our whole trips. Room was good size, we managed to get good view.. Hotel facilities was fantastic, they have activities for guest at night.. we enjoyed the campfire so much. Definitely a must stay if planned to go Aso area."
Fairfield by Marriott Kumamoto Aso
"Great choice of stay if you choose to stay near Aso mountain. It’s high quality with great view. Decent room size with comfortable beds. Although there’s no restaurant in the hotel, there’s convenient store and restaurants nearby. Free parking, good for road trips."
Aso Resort Grandvrio Hotel
"We stayed here for one night, the hotel is located in a golf club, the view from our room is magnificent. Food and onsen are good beyond our expectations. However, the hotel is a bit old and the facilities are quite outdated. Overall, this hotel provides good value for money."
Aso Base Backpackers
"Room: decent bunk bed. comes with lockable storage underneath, a shelf, a rack, a hanger, a light and some plug sockets. you have to make the bed yourself, and there is not a privacy curtain. the dorm room doesn't have a door, just curtains which means you can hear noises from other dorms, people chatting in the communal area downstairs, people on the phone on private rooms etc.. Bathroom: a few sinks showers and toilets so you should be able to find an available one. comes with shampoo, conditioner, body wash. since the bunk beds don't have privacy curtains and you therefore need the shower cubicle to get changed, moisturised etc. it would be useful to have a tub/basket in there rather than just hooks. the showers are a bit annoying, they're the type that you have to keep pressing to restart the water flow. this is quite annoying when trying to wash long hair. the temperature can also fluctuate as the water flow changes. the hairdryers are also a bit weak for long hair. Security: pass to get into the hostel. lockable storage space under bed. Amenities: kitchen area with stoves, microwaves, pans etc. laundry machines (400 for wash, 100 for 15min drying). books and area guides. onsen coupon. Location: quick walk to station and convenience store. Other: got to bare in mind the cost, so although there are some criticisms here, it is definitely good value for money"
Aso Plaza Hotel
"It's close to Mount Aso. If you book for more than one day, kaiseki is a good option for one of the days."
Yumeoi-so
"My parents were very satisfied. They enjoyed a quiet walk along the stream in the surrounding rural village and rented a family bath. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, the staff was friendly, and the bedding in the room was comfortable."
Kosugi Resort Lodge
"Really great place. It's located on a hill, so getting around without a car in this area would be difficult. The apartment itself is spacious, clean, and has a wonderful view. The bathroom is fantastic. The only downside is the disposable tableware. I really wished there was at least one proper glass and plate."

"Accom said that Trip.com was not a partner of theirs, so I’m surprised that the booking was able to be done through this platform. Not clear that payment was entirely cash only, despite Trip.com requesting card details for pre-authorisation. Trip.com should review its policies and explain why customers’ credit card details were taken if they would never be used (or known to) the accom itself."
Otohime-No-Sato
"Nice ryokan and the onsen are really good !! I really recommend if you're passing by aso !"
Yunoyado Irifune
"Although we arrived a little early, we were able to check in without any problems. The staff were very friendly, from welcoming us to showing us to our room. The food also used plenty of local ingredients, and the vegetables from their own farm were especially delicious. The staff seemed to be foreigners, but they spoke fluent Japanese and were very friendly, which I thought was wonderful."
Takanosho
"I stayed at Takanosgo first time with my family. The room was very clean and pretty big. I really liked a private Onsen in the room. We had a Japanese Kaiseki for dinner, and it was delicious. Staffs are very friendly, so I am satisfied. We will come back for sure. Highly recommended."

"Must try if want to experience staying in Ryokan, the dinner and breakfast is so good"
Hotel Suncrown Oaso
"The sales assistant was very friendly and helpful. The mattress was very soft and comfortable, and the pillow was a sleep aid pillow. For someone like me who has poor sleep quality, this was the best night's sleep I've had in 10 consecutive days of travel. It was so good that I want to buy this pillow when I get back to Taiwan."
Gentou - Vacation Stay 28719V
"Perfect house. The views were amazing, it was spacious, the check-in process was easy. 10/10."
Sen-No-Mori
"The hotel is located in the forest. There are only three single-family villas in the whole hotel. Each villa has a large courtyard and back garden. There is also a private hot spring. The environment is great, and the breakfast and dinner are also good. Friends with sufficient budget can consider it!"
Daikansou
"I booked a stay that included breakfast. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, explaining everything thoroughly when I had questions, which made my stay very smooth. The bedding was super cozy and plush. After a relaxing hot spring bath, I enjoyed a warm cup of tea using the in-room tea bags and kettle, then had a wonderful night's sleep in the comfortable futon. Breakfast was a delicious Japanese-style home-cooked meal. They even knocked on my door to let me know when breakfast was ready. The lounge facilities, including the smoking room and manga collection on the second floor, were also a great bonus."
Sozankyo
"The best hot spring hotel I ever stayed. Enjoyed their Japanese style breakfast too. Too bad that we didn’t have chance to try their dinner"
Meihodo Bunshinkan
"The hotel is opened by Chinese people, and they have good wishes. I hope it will get better and better. The best thing in the hotel is the horse and four dogs. The service is also good. It's OK. The network is good."
