Stay surrounded by the majestic great outdoors of Aso! BBQ without needing to bring anything!
"We loved our stay at Kosugi Resort Lodge. The tatami room was huge and comfortable, with plenty of space to settle in. The unit comes with cooking facilities and a separate toilet, vanity, and bathroom — though the bathroom was cold to use during our stay. Location is great, with an amazing view of the surrounding mountain range that made every morning feel special. The onsen was unfortunately closed, but they provided vouchers for a nearby public onsen, which turned out to be a wonderful experience on its own. Overall, a peaceful, scenic stay that we’d happily come back to.
Note to register at the reception which is near the entrance (parking lot #3) before heading to the lodge, about 3-4mins drive in. They have a resident cat which is super cute :)"
"The yurt-style accommodation was very unique and special, and we even got to play with fireflies! Dinner and breakfast were both very substantial. It was quite cold, even in the bathroom, but luckily the duvet was warm enough. After paying, I received an email saying the check-in/check-out times had changed (original policy: check-in after 2 PM, check-out before 12 PM; updated policy: check-in after 3 PM, check-out before 10 AM). I'm not sure where the mistake was, but overall it was a very good stay. I would definitely rent it again next time! 👍👍👍👍👍"

GGuest UserIn the quiet mountainous area of Azu, the superior traditional hot spring hotel, it is impossible to expect direct rail or public transportation! Only suitable for self-driving travelers, go to the nearest convenience store and drive 4 minutes.
The service is too good to ask for more, very kind, the waiter can communicate in simple English. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, eat in a separate room. Originally there were cows and sashimi, but because we didn't eat it, the check-in explained that the waiter worked hard to help us communicate with the chef to change to duck and sashimi.
The room is very large, the TV is a large-size Sony new smart TV in recent years, Wifi is stable, you can stay in the room to soak in the hot springs, lie on the sofa to play waste and watch YouTube, not afraid of doing nothing at night.
The whole hotel only has 7 rooms, so there are not many guests. The room has been soaked in separate baths, and you can use a large bath (indoor and outdoor) at night to appoint 5 separate soup houses, soaking is very cool!
Next time if you have the opportunity to pass Asu to do the midway station, you will definitely come again!
GGuest UserThe sauna is very comfortable, there are small crabs next to the cold spring pool, the air is clean, the water quality is sweet, the room is well maintained, we use washing machines and dryers, convenient and comfortable.
GGuest UserWe are greeted warmly when we arrive. Love the classic building and look out from the window. Food is nice and Private onsen is wonderful. We see our shoes drying next to the fire place, thank you so much to the Hotel lady in being so caring.
AAnonymous UserIt was very good. It was my first time staying in a traditional Japanese ryokan with tatami rooms, so I wasn't used to it at first, but I slept well and it was very quiet. The public and private onsen baths were both excellent, and the meals included with the stay were also well-arranged. Recommended!
GGuest UserThis might be one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in. And I travel a lot. I am impressed with every bit of the house since the minute I saw the house from outside, to stepping inside. This house has all amenities you could ask for and everything is very tidy and organized. The location is good to it is right in the middle of the countryside, you will need a car to get here but it was all worth it. We walked down the rice field and found the stream which I and my daughter enjoyed.
