Aso Plaza Hotel

💕Location: Close to Aso Volcano attractions, with a very large parking lot. 💗Service: The staff were very patient. Although they only spoke Japanese and English, they were easy to understand. 💘Room: The room was small and a bit old, but it was fair for the price in the area. 💝Restaurant: We had the half-board option (dinner and breakfast). I recommend being careful when choosing the Kaiseki dinner, as many dishes might not suit everyone's taste. Breakfast was simple but delicious. 💞Environment: There are several supermarkets and duty-free shops just 200m from the hotel entrance.

Standard Japanese-style room, but the entryway felt a bit small! They have an open-air bath on the rooftop, and also indoor and outdoor baths on the second floor, which were very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful, and both dinner and breakfast included in our stay were absolutely delicious!

Excellent service, and the room offered fantastic mountain views. There's also a high-rise open-air onsen and an indoor onsen. Soaking in the onsen while enjoying the mountain scenery was a wonderful experience!

It's close to Mount Aso. If you book for more than one day, kaiseki is a good option for one of the days.

Quiet hotel in the middle of the countryside, very relaxing with a coffee shop.

I only stayed for one night, just for the room. I used both the large public bath and the open-air rotenburo bath with a view, and they were both excellent. The front desk staff were very helpful when I asked them to call a taxi. It would have been even better if the location was closer to the restaurant district.

This is our second year in a row staying here. It's surprisingly affordable for the New Year's holiday, offering great value for money. However, the facilities are a bit old; you have to lock the inner door for the main lock to work properly.😅 But the room itself is clean.
