Pure luxury for Laos, near to many cafes, pubs eateries, bakeries, walk to the monk event, many temples and beautiful Buddha statues around. Quiet, very clean, large bathroom, balcony where I stayed on the second floor. Very comfortable bed, friendly staff.
Booked this after we got chased out by a nasty
Air bnb place called ZUNA. They wanted us out for a lovers tiff before 10pm saying we were too loud. The family lives right next door and you van hear everything, their walls are paper thin, dangerous toilet bowl on a platform in a tiny bathroom.
CCTV from the outside shoots into our room, illegal.
Pay a little more and get a great comfortable stay instead of being chased out when you are a payong guest.

Bad experience, the price you pay doesn't match the room's quality you get. We paid about 140$ for a family room (35 sq.m in description), but get a small room stuffed with beds with no space even for suitcases. After one night, management gave as the bigger room, which was as big as expected (that's good), but the room wasn't cozy and neat. It looked quite filthy. I recommend choosing another place for staying in LP. Attached photos of family room we got first, and the second one.

Not much to say, which is rather positive. As advertised. The location was convenient without being crowded. The hotel itself was charming and relaxing. The restaurant offered a good mix of options with a wide range of affordable local dishes and some western alternatives. Both were good choices. The cleaning staff were efficient. And the service was great. There was always someone available to help, happily. The spa was surprisingly cheap for an in-house spa, but still maintained standards across the board. The shuttle, which never required any waiting time, was useful. I guess there was a bit to say, all positive. Would comfortably recommend.

Chinese people are not recommended to choose this hotel. I suggest you go to Boan or something like that. Ctrip and booking both rate it as 4 stars. To be honest, it's more like 3 stars. Some people in the previous reviews said that the breakfast fruit was bad. I ate it and it was bad too. The watermelon was rotten. The wifi in the room on the second floor only had one bar. The poor speed in foreign countries (it can't be used in the room at all, you have to use it outside) is a big deduction. The only advantage is that the room is big and the location is good.
The two biggest thunder points are that the bedding is not good. Some people in the previous reviews said that the bed is comfortable. I guess they haven't even stayed in a 3-star hotel? ?
Another thing is that there is no socket at the head of the bed. I'm drunk

I had a very nice stay in the hotel. The grounds are amazing, with a beautiful garden and a nice swimming pool, while the room was also nice and comfortable (I was upgraded due to some construction works). The staff was very friendly. The location is a bit out of town, but easily walkable and in a quiet neighborhood, so overall a good location. Bicycles are provided for free to clients, which is a nice touch.

Most things about this hotel are very good — the rooms are clean, staff have excellent service minds, and amenities are all there. You can book tours directly at the reception, which is quite convenient for first-time travelers. One of their recommended restaurants, Tamarind, was a great experience — tasty local food, cozy atmosphere, worth the visit.
That said, because the hotel seems to work mostly with beginner travelers, many of the suggested tours or transport options come with higher prices. For example, the driver we got to Kuang Si Falls drove pretty fast and was on the phone a lot — not the safest or most relaxed experience.
The pool is quite small — don’t expect to do laps — but it’s clean and nice enough to cool off. Breakfast was solid, especially the wide selection of fresh fruits, which really stood out.
📌 Overall: Great for comfort, location, and service. Just be aware that some packages and partner recommendations may be overpriced or more “touristy” than authentic.
Four-star public areas, three-star guest rooms, sanitary conditions are OK, but overall not as good as the hotels of the same price nearby. The nearby Pearl and Oriental Boutique are better than this one. The advantage of this one is that the breakfast is a little better than others. Picture 1 is this one, and pictures 2 and 3 are Pearl and Oriental Boutique (the two hotels are actually one)
It’s a boutique hotel, interior is very beautiful inside and also this was introduced to Newyork Times magazine. However, location of the hotel was quite a bit far from DT but there’s a buggy car to bring you there from time to time. I guess it’s every hour on the hour. Service is not bad but not the best.

Friendly and welcoming staff at reception. Good English spoken. The bikes are great as the hotel is quite a distance from the main area. There are a few nice places walkable distance and it is walkable but if you did it multiple times it’d be tiring. Lao Airlines hotel so you can check in for your flight at the hotel. Rooms are a good size and beds comfortable. Nice pool and quiet, peaceful environment. Kettle in room with tea and coffee.
Rooms seem worn and could do with a refresh, especially the bathroom. Air conditioning is needs updating as it struggles to cool the room. Only one plug socket by the side of the bed. Lots of small flys in my room which should have been cleaned/removed before I checked in. Likely due to low season so less people/cleaning less often. I went out in the morning and hung “please clean room” on my door but when I came back 6 hours later nothing had happened. They didn’t clean my room, change towels etc through my stay.
Neighbouring hotels have shuttle service. This would really improve the hotel.
Overall, it was ok for two days but probably wouldn’t go back unless it was modernised.
This hotel is really cost-effective! The room is clean, well-equipped and the price is very affordable. Although the hotel is not in the city center, the transportation is very convenient. You can reach various attractions in a few minutes by tuk-tuk. The hotel staff is very friendly and makes people feel warm when checking in. In short, this is a very good hotel and I recommend it to everyone!

KK.-The staffs are very friendly. Even though English is not their first language, they utilize translation app and enjoy the conversation with the guests. Very open-minded.
-The room is super clean.
-The location is a bit away from the historical area (30mins+ on foot) but you can enjoy the local life along the way to the area.
It was my first trip to Laos, and only for two days, but it became a very pleasant stay. Would love to visit again.

CCOMEFLYWITHLUCYWe booked the 2 bedroom apartment and it was immaculate and cosy all at the same time. Double balcony; fully equipped kitchen, open plan dining area and lounge and a very comfortable bed but the absolute highlight for me was the free standing bath (beside the shower big enough for a whole football team). There is secure door entry both at the room and the building, parking available, free bicycles to borrow and they can arrange a scooter too (i think it was 180k LAK a day). There is a washing machine on the balcony whihc is also free to use. Comes in handy after a few hours out in the dust.
YYunaiqingpiaopiaoFacilities: The decoration style is very tasteful but the space is relatively compact. The chandelier can adjust the color temperature, which is good
Hygiene: clean and tidy
Environment: Absolutely quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Opposite is the Buddhist temple and a five-minute walk to the core street. Quiet at night and convenient during the day. The location is excellent.
Service: This time I met two young Laotian employees. The boys and girls were very cute and they would patiently answer any questions.
One night when I came back, the front desk was playing nice songs, which made me feel happy.

MMarkusJust before the Old Bridge, set back from the road, next to a temple, this is the kind of accommodation I couldn't wish for better. Villa Maydou is exactly my taste!
The hotel's individual buildings are loosely spread across the site, some of which have been carefully restored and are listed as historical monuments. I love the teak floors in the upper rooms.
The hotel lives from its historic charm, the caring staff and Laotian vibe. The open breakfast pavilion (don't touch the Fishtail Palm!) offers a great, also regional variety of options. The pool is a nice place to relax after your excursions and the cosy bar next to it invites you to forget the time with a G&T.
Guests can use free rental bikes to reach everything in the old town.

GGuest UserThe hotel facilities and services are very good. The room is cleaned very well. The breakfast is very good. The waiter is very polite. WanWan is in charge of my sales. He patiently answered my questions and helped me recommend good travel plans and arranged to send me to the station. My family and I stayed for three nights. It was a very pleasant experience. The only thing I want to remind everyone is that 1) the hotel is a bit remote and not on the main street. If you miss the shuttle bus, you have to take a taxi yourself. 2) They will entertain Chinese and Korean uncles and aunts, and sometimes it will be a bit noisy. 3) The dinner I ordered at the hotel tasted good, but the quantity was small and the price was expensive. Overall, it was very good. Recommended
