All the staff are most helpful and friendly. The rooms are very modern and the location is very good for all you want to do in the Old Town. Restaurant has some great meals and the breakfast buffet was terrific and extensive. The views are fantastic there too! A slight problem we had was sorted out professionally and promptly. We were most impressed with this hotel and highly recommend it.

We stay in Crowne for 2 night. We arrived a little bit early and the lady let us checked in slightly early and they even upgraded our room ( we are very lucky). They have lots of option for breakfast. The tram station is 5 minutes walk. You can get around the city with tram. We will come back to Crowne after our Konya and Cappadocia trip. It's definitely worth it to stay in this hotel.

Unfortunately, during our stay at this hotel from 21 to 28 may 2022, a pair of shoes we had bought were stolen from us, and although the hotel's security cameras were checked and it was found that the fog had been stolen, they did not accept the hotel's security manager ! We were easily robbed in a five-star hotel chain , I attached a photo of the shoe bags on the day we bought it and went to the room .
Mula Hotel

Sultan Ahmed Mosque
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mula Hotel in Istanbul with my family, including two toddlers, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. Nestled in the heart of the old Sultanahmet area, the location couldn’t be more ideal. It’s within walking distance of all the major attractions, offering a perfect blend of convenience and cultural immersion. The surrounding area is a food lover’s paradise, with an array of great restaurants offering local and international cuisine. Plus, the easy access to the tram makes exploring the city a breeze. The hotel itself is a gem. My room was not only beautifully appointed but also boasted a stunning sea view that added a special touch to our family stay. Waking up to the serene vista of the sea was truly a highlight. The hotel’s family-friendly atmosphere made our stay with toddlers smooth and enjoyable. However, what really sets Mula Hotel apart is its exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was not just professional but genuinely warm and welcoming. Their constant smiles and readiness to assist at any hour truly made me feel valued and taken care of. From getting a bottle of water in the middle of the night to personal touches like waiters remembering my omelette preferences after just one day - every detail was noticed and appreciated. I must give special mentions to Ercan at the restaurant and Ilknur at the front desk. Their outstanding service and personal attention significantly enhanced my stay. Their professionalism and kindness reflect the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction. Coming from someone who travels significantly and has stayed in several fantastic properties across the world, I can confidently say that Mula is right up at the top, and a rarity among hotels. In conclusion, Mula Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it’s a destination that offers a memorable experience. Whether it’s the prime location, the beautiful rooms, the delicious food, or the unparalleled service, this hotel ticks all the boxes for an exceptional stay in Istanbul. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city, especially those traveling with family.

We had a very unpleasant experience with stuff at the lobby , being there for Christmas Eve , me & my sister decide to eat inside the hotel rather to go out so at 10 pm we came down to the lobby where there is lounge area , for almost 15 minutes we saw that the lounge staff is passing us without asking if we want to order so I called one of the waitress and she came toward us with furious gestures before I start asking she said to me do you have a room in the hotel and I said yes , she continues what’s your room number and I replied , again with the cold face and rude behavior she continues ‘ under the name ?’ And I replied, she turned back to her desk without asking us what we would like to order and From her desk she went straight to reception to verify my information!!! My jaws dropped when I saw this , really rude & unprofessional behavior I was in complete shock that she even went to reception to verify the information, but the worst part was that after she verified and actually saw that we are the guest of the hotel she turned back to her desk and continued ignoring us , I never ever seen in my entire life a waitress permits herself to act like this with 5 star hotel guests, at this point we asked another waitress that if she can took our order , we then asked her if the hotel have another restaurant and she replied yes but the kitchen is closed after 10:30 pm , I don’t recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to enjoy the hotel facility, the staff are not guest friendly, the dining section is in some floor but for person like me that wants more easy snacks and chill area wasn’t really good option, not to mention that when we came back to our room we really felt so heavy and frustrated by this behavior, we were supposed to go today to lounge before departing but as for yesterday experience we just decide to check out soon and leave the hotel because we didn’t like to tolerate the attitude of this waitress ( she is the short women with short brown hair ) I suggest the general manager to see the video of yesterday and review their staff!
Hagia Sofia Mansions Istanbul, Curio Collection by Hilton

Sultan Ahmed Mosque
Overall a really good stay and we felt lucky to have chosen this hotel. But like all hotels there are some things we wish we had known beforehand. The good - the location is perfect and literally right next to the Sophia Hagia mosque. We stayed in house 24 which is on the old street behind the mosque. Perfect for exploring the old historic parts of Istanbul. Lots of restaurants and cafes everywhere - the room was lovely and very comfortable and in a traditional style - the breakfast buffet was copious and varied. Even better it was free with my Hilton Gold status - the staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful - the hotel organised airport transfers for us and glad we used them as pickup and dropoff needed to be coordinated with an electric golf cart The less good - the street is noisy at night, especially at the weekend. Lots of people talking loudly and taking photos. It is supposed to be largely traffic free but seeme to be lots of cars and trucks for deliveries especially early morning. So bring your ear plugs if you are a light sleeper - the breakfast buffet place is small and often no seats inside and hard to move around. The Green House is an alternative for a traditional served breakfast but when we went there it was deserted! You can't win sometimes 🤣 - getting coffee at breakfast buffet was a bit chaotic. It wasn't clear if you ordered it from the staff or at the coffee station. So the poor barista was often overwhelmed - the historic cistern bath is normally a cost extra (but free with Hilton Gold) and you have to book it. I thought from prior research it was open to guests all the time. When we did make it, it was lovely but water temperature more like a swimming pool than a hot tub so 20 mins is plenty of time And the downright annoying - the house we stayed in had 3 other rooms. We never saw a single guest. But the hotel staff had offices there and there were literally hundreds of comings and goings a day, with a front door that slammed incessantly. I asked them to try and soften the close which they did but didn't really solve the problem. So a great experience overall and thanks for a great stay.
Tryp by Wyndham Istanbul Basin Ekspres

I stayed here since Turkish airlines put me there after missing my connecting flight. The location is bad. Nothing interesting around to even get a bite to eat but also it is far to get to interesting places, not because distance but time to travel. The room had water damage on the floor but not repaired. After getting into my first shower, I found that they were out of conditioner (big bottle on the shower wall). They did not even check after the last guest. The big problem with the place is that their main customers are not you! It is tour agencies or Turkish airlines. They don't seem to care about the real guests. As I walking into the breakfast with my carryon, A staff member stopped me and rudely said that it it is ”forbidden” to bring in luggage into breakfast area, the point is not just the mentality is working with what is forbidden but also being rude. When I asked what I was going to do with it, no answer. Then, I said sarcastically that he should watch my carryon while having breakfast, still no answer. Then, I left my carryon with the front desk. While checking out, I told them about conditioner, the answer back was you should have called us to get the conditioner. I laughed ”I was already in shower, was I supposed to get out of shower, call you, wait, and continue my shower?” I advised them to train their staff better. I also mentioned the experience with the carryon on the way to breakfast that their staff member was rude. Again, I advised him to train their staff. To my surprise, he said things are so busy, they don't have to train their staff well, another sarcastic comment was deserved ”you have time to train them on what is forbidden but can't find the train them how to talk to guest? After checking out, I did a test my theory, it right on the spot. So, you should have a feel now. Not well maintained hotel, not training their staff on hospitality. If you are paying for it, you can do much better easily.

Sultan Ahmed Mosque
Excellent locaton just adjacent to the Hippodrome and close to all the main sights in Sultanhamet. Small reception with a small lobby area with sofa seating. Guests are welcomed with cold water and turkish tea on arrival. Room size is small with a double bed and an extra bed . Bath area is also small. There are some rooms facing the road, others face adjcent hotel. Curtains need to be drawn for privacy specialy during the night. There are a few rooms on the fourth floor having private balconies and a good view. Room air conditioning is below par and the only negative point of this hotel. Our party had to change rooms due to poor air conditioning. Air conditioning is switched off automatically at night and it can become a bit uncomfortable and one has to get up from the bed to switch on the air conditioner. Only breakfast is served . There is no arrangement for lunch/dinner as the hotel does not have a kitchen. Room has a mini fridge, in room safe, and tea/coffee maker, iron, and hair dryer. Coffee tea replinshment not done automatically, one has to request the reception for a refill. Bed is comfortable Restaurant is on the terrace and is open for breakfast. Breakfast is not very elaborate. Omelette and speciality coffee are charged 4 euro each. Lot of varieties of Turkish delight served daily. We found fungus on the plum served during the breakfast. Blue mosque is a 5 minutes walk, Hagia Sofia is a 15 minute walk, Tram stop is situated at 15 minutes by walk. Grand Bazar is 15 minutes away. Water front is also across the main road and is approximately 15 minutes by walk. Taxis are avialble outside the hotel. Convenience store just around the corner. Staff is helpful and make you comfortable.

Bomonti Arjaan by Rotana
4.1/555 Reviews
Bomonti Arjaan by Rotana is a truly fabulous hotel that exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and comfort of this establishment. The rooms are impressively spacious and very new, having been in operation for just a few months. Everything in the room was in perfect order, reflecting a high standard of maintenance and cleanliness. The service at Bomonti Arjaan by Rotana is exceptional. The staff are attentive, professional, and quick to respond to any requests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay. The breakfast offered is generally good, though it could benefit from a greater variety of options to cater to different tastes. The location of the hotel is another significant advantage. Situated close to a Carrefour, as well as numerous restaurants and cafes, it provides convenient access to amenities and dining choices. Additionally, parking is hassle-free, which is a considerable benefit for those traveling by car. The apartment-like rooms are particularly well-suited for long stays, equipped with everything needed to make guests feel at home. I was impressed by the thoughtful touches, such as the provision of dishwasher tablets and laundry powder alongside the dishwasher and washing machine. These small details demonstrate a commitment to guest comfort and convenience. It will be interesting to see how this hotel maintains its standards as it ages, but as of now, Bomonti Arjaan by Rotana offers outstanding value for money. Whether you are staying for a short visit or an extended period, this hotel is an excellent choice that combines luxury, convenience, and top-notch service.
