Review of Wanda Vista Hotel.
My stay at the Wanda Vista Hotel had its positives, but also quite a few frustrating issues. The hotel itself was nice, and the room was comfortable, but the location wasn’t ideal since it’s right on a highway, making it less convenient for exploring the area. Aside from that, it was okay, but there were several maintenance problems that definitely affected my experience. The biggest issue was that the room had several things broken, and despite bringing it to the staff’s attention, nothing was really fixed except for the door. The shower leaked all over the floor by the sink, which was both annoying and a safety hazard, but no one bothered to fix it. The skirting board was also broken, adding to the feeling that the room wasn’t being properly maintained. On top of that, we had an apartment with a kitchen, but the hotel refused to provide any kitchen accessories unless we were staying for more than 10 days, which seemed like a ridiculous rule. It didn’t make sense to have a kitchen that we couldn’t actually use. After complaining, I eventually got the accessories, but it was frustrating that I even had to go through that process in the first place.Overall, while the hotel had potential, the lack of proper maintenance and the odd policies made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been. If they paid more attention to fixing issues and improving customer service, it could be a much better experience.
I loved my time there. The hotel staff are very flexible and helpful. I highly recommend for both short and long term staying as it has everything you would expect and need from this place.

The room was perfect. Gorgeous bedding, pillows and duvets. The care of the room was daily: change of sheets, towels, and bins. Perfect.
With grateful for the responsiveness and attention of the manager down at the front desk, as well as the nice ladies who worked there. I will definitely visit them again!
And my biggest appreciation was that we arrived early, at 10 am and they accommodated us without waiting until 2 pm! Thanks again!
It is a very nice hotel. The Executive Lounge and the Rooftop Bar are on the highest Floor where you have a fantastic View of the Bosphorus and can enjoy delicious Food. Our Room was very large and very clean. When we arrived there was a Fruit Basket, different Variations of Chocolate and a Bottle of Wine served on our Table even though we don't drink Alcohol i found it very accommodating. The Breakfast is wonderful and there are many different flavors. The Coffee was unfortunately not good so I drank Çay. You can walk 10-15 Minutes and then you will pass various small Cafés, Supermarktes and Restaurants.
I recommend this Hotel because it’s worth a Visit
!
I found the staff to be unhelpful and most of them rude. One lovely lady managed the spa, the other lady on the weekends was very blunt and bit rude. Bad experience with restaurant staff, couldn't get order placed, then placed it eventually then waited 20mins....on a coffee and coke! The waiter then walked off again and continued to serve a table of men, tried to get his attention to pay, told him had to go back to pool to my son, that was ok..an hour later I have some ***** man from the restaurant run down to me being aggressive saying I hadn't paid for the drinks! Very very bad set up!

Super beautiful hotel. The room is fantastic and the location is without doubt. Hotel service is top of the best and the breakfast is just wonderful. It's a wonderful nice stay.
This was the best hotel experience of my life. My fiancée and I came here for celebrate our engagement and we have been absolutely impressed by the top-notch quality of everything at JW Marriott. I want to mention in particular the kindness and professionalism of every single staff member. You guys are amazing, thank you for making these days memorable!

Loved everything about this place.
Location- very close to Taksim & loads of restaurants & shops around you.
Services - excellent , check in and out was effective & efficient.
Hospitality- excellent . Each and everyone one in the hotel tries their best to give you excellent service.
Language- excellent English, Arabic & other languages are spoken by the staff which makes it very easy to communicate.
Room - big size, clean & a bit old but the cleaning done on daily basis makes you feel its new.
Toilet- was my favorite part, the white and grey colour marbles made my eyes go crazy!
The spa- don’t miss it. There is a Moroccan lady don’t miss her she is excellent in her job.
The breakfast- was the star of my stay. The food, the service, the huge area and everything about it.
Over all I was really happy with BARCELO and I highly recommend it. Definitely will be back.
The Spa and Wellness Center was very clean and enjoyable, offering a great variety of relaxing amenities and an excellent gym.
Unfortunately, the room was not prepared properly. The duvet cover was not fitted correctly over the blanket, and some bathroom essentials like toothpaste and toothbrushes were missing. It felt as though the room had been cleaned and prepared in a rush. Additionally, the furnishings and room installations were outdated and lacked modern features.
Another issue was the staff’s lack of commitment to providing good service. Many employees did not use English in a professional manner. However, I do not believe the staff was unfriendly; it seemed more like an organizational problem affecting the level of service.
Overall, I enjoyed my one-night stay, spending most of the time in the Spa and Wellness Center. The location is also very convenient, with the Hilltown Mall right next to the hotel and easy access to Sabiha Gökçen Airport via Metro/Taxi.
In my opinion, the price of the stay did not match the expected quality.

AAnastasiospapadakisWe truly loved every bit of demiray hotel from the aesthetic of the reception , the rooms , the breakfast , the rooftop view everything if I were you and I was looking for a perfect hotel in istanbul I would not search anymore let me be more specific:
We were greeted by the beautiful Ezgi at the reception with a smile and friendly attitude that made us feel like we were visiting friends and family , since i also work in the same field this is what we strive for a perfect check in , she politely gave us complimentary tea and turkish coffee and handed us the keys to the room always eager to help us with any information after explaining the times of breakfast and the hotels included free access areas ( swimming pool, hammam , turkish bath , sauna ) , Hasan the bellboy then took our stuff explaining in detail what is included in the room water and the amenities were complimentary tap water is not safe to drink in istanbul but all the bellboys always brought us water anytime we needed and with a smile .
In the first night we stayed in the hotel we had a issue with the shower phone it was fixed but It broke again the next day , Mert who was at the night shift at the time gave us a complimentary upgrade and also he told us that if possible the change could happen on his shift and not the other shift , I write this down because since I work on this field i find Mert to be a very good , hardworking professional and excellent colleague since he solved a issue so quick in order to not bother the next shift , truly a excellent receptionist and he has my respect . On the third day of our stay we did a huge walk from taksim to the Hotel but we didn't eat anything we arrived back at the hotel and we wanted to order food , Emroh when I told him my request which as a front office manager myself i know it is not a part of the receptionist duties especially at night , immediately spoke with his colleague and they ordered us a pizza which was amazing we left the cash and went to the room , it shows Emroh can go above and beyond for demiray hotel customers and deserves a big applause . On the last day I requested a late check out to Emroh which was accepted and it made us very happy since we could come back take a shower and leave , the hotel has a luggage room which was very convenient .
As for the breakfast it was Huge with great cold and warm options which change everyday , Cansu and the rest of the staff always assisted us with a smile and made our day from the beginning ! I have to applaud the housekeeping team esma and selma which cleaned the room to perfection and made us a beautiful design see picture bellow and since we know housekeeping is difficult for everyone we tried our best to keep the room as clean as possible .
Our room was beautiful with a bathtub and it had an beautiful design and a very comfortable big sized bed . The rooftop has a 360 view of the bosphorus with view of the Hagia Sophia Galata and all the other mosques trully amazing ( Photos bellow ) .
One of the most important things to note which impressed us is that Ugur the manager was always on duty ready to help, he spoke perfect English and he also looked the part with a stunning suit and a beautiful red patterned tie , it is very important for the hotel to have a nice team and this is what the manager does the best , as a front office manager myself I know Ugur has made an amazing team consisting of great all rounded receptionists that all in their unique ways made our stay memorable and amazing and deserves a big applause for his work .
We truly loved everything and everyone at the Demiray Hotel and we cannot wait to be back soon .
Sending lots of love from Greece ❤️

GGuest UserWe got to the hotel after midnight and was told that the room is flooded and no other room available for now. We were sent to a different hotel and told that they would have a room for us in the morning. They sent us from Crowne Plaza to Ramada (an outrageous downgrade). We slept a few hours at Ramada and checked out and returned to the front desk of Crowne Plaza. The lady at the front desk told us that there were still no room for us and we had to go back to the Ramada again. We told her we would like to speak to her manager, and she said she is the manager. I told her that the arrangement is not acceptable. Finally, she said that a room would be available in 20 minutes. What a ridiculous experience!
HHariI recently had the pleasure of staying at Mula Hotel in Istanbul with my family, including two toddlers, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. Nestled in the heart of the old Sultanahmet area, the location couldn’t be more ideal. It’s within walking distance of all the major attractions, offering a perfect blend of convenience and cultural immersion. The surrounding area is a food lover’s paradise, with an array of great restaurants offering local and international cuisine. Plus, the easy access to the tram makes exploring the city a breeze.
The hotel itself is a gem. My room was not only beautifully appointed but also boasted a stunning sea view that added a special touch to our family stay. Waking up to the serene vista of the sea was truly a highlight. The hotel’s family-friendly atmosphere made our stay with toddlers smooth and enjoyable.
However, what really sets Mula Hotel apart is its exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was not just professional but genuinely warm and welcoming. Their constant smiles and readiness to assist at any hour truly made me feel valued and taken care of. From getting a bottle of water in the middle of the night to personal touches like waiters remembering my omelette preferences after just one day - every detail was noticed and appreciated.
I must give special mentions to Ercan at the restaurant and Ilknur at the front desk. Their outstanding service and personal attention significantly enhanced my stay. Their professionalism and kindness reflect the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction.
Coming from someone who travels significantly and has stayed in several fantastic properties across the world, I can confidently say that Mula is right up at the top, and a rarity among hotels.
In conclusion, Mula Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it’s a destination that offers a memorable experience. Whether it’s the prime location, the beautiful rooms, the delicious food, or the unparalleled service, this hotel ticks all the boxes for an exceptional stay in Istanbul. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city, especially those traveling with family.
MMojganWe had a very unpleasant experience with stuff at the lobby , being there for Christmas Eve , me & my sister decide to eat inside the hotel rather to go out so at 10 pm we came down to the lobby where there is lounge area , for almost 15 minutes we saw that the lounge staff is passing us without asking if we want to order so I called one of the waitress and she came toward us with furious gestures before I start asking she said to me do you have a room in the hotel and I said yes , she continues what’s your room number and I replied , again with the cold face and rude behavior she continues ‘ under the name ?’ And I replied, she turned back to her desk without asking us what we would like to order and From her desk she went straight to reception to verify my information!!! My jaws dropped when I saw this , really rude & unprofessional behavior I was in complete shock that she even went to reception to verify the information, but the worst part was that after she verified and actually saw that we are the guest of the hotel she turned back to her desk and continued ignoring us , I never ever seen in my entire life a waitress permits herself to act like this with 5 star hotel guests, at this point we asked another waitress that if she can took our order , we then asked her if the hotel have another restaurant and she replied yes but the kitchen is closed after 10:30 pm , I don’t recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to enjoy the hotel facility, the staff are not guest friendly, the dining section is in some floor but for person like me that wants more easy snacks and chill area wasn’t really good option, not to mention that when we came back to our room we really felt so heavy and frustrated by this behavior, we were supposed to go today to lounge before departing but as for yesterday experience we just decide to check out soon and leave the hotel because we didn’t like to tolerate the attitude of this waitress ( she is the short women with short brown hair ) I suggest the general manager to see the video of yesterday and review their staff!
MMladenowskiI am extremely disappointed with the attitude of the reception staff. My wife, child, and I booked and prepaid for a Family Suite with multiple beds and a Pool View. Instead, we were assigned a room with only a king-size bed and no small bed for our child. The room description on their official website clearly shows a small bed, and this was also confirmed in my booking confirmation, as shown in the attached screenshot. After complaining, the reception offered to provide a foldable bed— okay, we got it, but it wasn't what we wanted when searching for a hotel.
Later, when showering in the evening, we noticed only two towels for three people. I contacted reception, and they initially sent two bathrobes. Using a translation app, I requested an additional towel, and after a few minutes, they delivered three towels. Overall, the service was poor.
To summarize:
1. The hotel provided a room meant for a couple, not a family.
2. The room lacked the second bed as advertised, only having one.
3. There were only two sets of towels for three guests.
4. There were stains in the bathroom as visible in one of the photos.
5. The swimming pool was out of order.
It feels like we were downgraded because we arrived late and only stayed overnight. My assumption is that the reception gave our original room to someone else. Instead, we received a room the same/similar in size but intended for a couple. Maybe I'm wrong, that’s the impression I have.
This hotel does not deserve a 5-star rating; at best, it is a 3-star. I usually stay alone in this area when traveling, and last year, I stayed at a 3-star hotel on the same street that offered better service.
GGuest UserThis hotel is definitely the best hotel for visiting Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. I almost missed it because there were not many reviews. Later, I checked the location on Google Maps and booked it decisively! The hotel is in the scenic area, with a unique location. It is less than 500 meters away from the Royal Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and other attractions. We are a family of 8. Staying in this hotel is the most correct choice for me to visit Istanbul. Everyone walks, browses, shops and strolls in the scenic area every day, which is extremely pleasant! If it is a family trip, you can actually book a standard room. The standard room is actually in a villa with very good privacy. We also booked a suite, which is also a stand-alone villa. I wrote this review specifically to record the beauty of Istanbul٩(•̤̀ᵕ•̤́๑)ᵒᵏᵎᵎᵎᵎᵎ.
DDhaval_VyasA good sized and reasonably maintained hotel. Very close to Underground Metro station, and 15 min walk to the nearest Tram station. Bus stop is just 50m away from the hotel. These transport options makes it a great location to access the tourist centre of Istanbul. Breakfast was varied daily and staff are friendly. Rooms and floor decor could do better with a bit of revamp, but I it still is in very good condition, just feels out of fashion.
I will certainly choose it to stay again if I ever visited the city.
AAnonymous UserHello, we went there because it was a 5 star hotel but it is only worth 3 stars, its location is good, the hotel needs to be renovated for transportation, as for the food, we did not eat lunch or dinner at the hotel, we always ate outside, our breakfast was included, we did not like that either, by the way, we made a reservation on trip.com, the price was reasonable, we will not go again in the future unless it is renewed.
FFaridVery clean hotel, close to the metro, but when we first entered, the gentleman at the reception wanted to sell us an extra room, there was unnecessary tension, but on the last day, there was someone else at the reception, who was very friendly and helpful to us.
CCharmIt was my first time visiting, and it was super nice. Almost everyone was polite...I enjoy my stay, and I will be back again. It is fully recommended.. Thank you
