Bobopod Malioboro, Yogyakarta

Malioboro
Nice pod concept, although the location is sort of creepy despite being right across a train station. The hostel is 100% safe thanks to the unique QR code an app system you have to use to open the main door and the pods, but the place itself is situated in a dilapidated building, with trash on the stairs. Right outside there's some street food vendors, but once again, they give you a creepy vive alongside all the people loitering there. FamilyMart and Lawson and a local convenience store are downstairs. The hostel itself is clean and the staff are nice, so much so I staid at their sister hotel in Jogjakarta, which is identical in every way. Good english. Breakfast is sort of mediocre but free (cereal with milk manually prepackaged on a cardboard box), but you can't purchase their frozen meals unless you have an Indonesian mobile app (no cash). Far from everything, but that's Jakarta for you, a city you should skip unless you have business to conduct.

Ndalem Diajeng Homestay in Yogyakarta is a charming and welcoming accommodation. The traditional Javanese architecture, spacious and clean rooms, and friendly staff create a delightful experience. The delicious breakfast and convenient location near popular attractions make it an excellent choice for a memorable stay in Yogyakarta. Highly recommended.

I just love everything about this hostel — the people in charge, the property itself and the location. I couldn’t really ask for more. I cannot express how genuinely happy I was to have met such friendly staff in this hostel. They were like family. They were so friendly, helpful and funny. They can speak basic/conversational English. This hostel is really clean. Towels and basic toiletries are also provided. I love that they have electronic lockers in each room and more storage cabinets in the bunkbeds. Everything you need is just a few minutes on foot. There are many street foods and restaurants right at the doorstep of the hostel. The hostel is also easy to find. They also have a laundry service for a small fee. If you are health or fitness conscious then you can take advantage of their calisthenics facilities on the rooftop overlooking the city of Yogyakarta.
Ceria Hotel at Alun Alun Yogyakarta

This hotel is, at best, a small hotel, with more than a dozen rooms, small rooms, and no toothbrushes, towels, or slippers. No mineral water is provided, no kettle. If you need hot water, it is not very convenient to go to the hot water machine placed in the designated corner. You need to make an appointment to clean the room every day. There will be no service after 3 p.m. and the garbage cannot be taken out. When booking a room, be sure to read the hotel's page carefully. The deluxe double room written there does not refer to twin beds, but a 1.5-meter large bed. I reasoned with the front desk and said that they all have double beds and there are no twin rooms. Look carefully at Ctrip's page introduction and it says 1.5 double beds for 2 people. There is no choice but to add an extra bed, and you have to pay an extra bed fee of 250,000 dong per night. So if you need a standard twin room for your stay, you don’t need to consider this hotel. The breakfast included in the room is given a simple three-page menu, and you just choose one. Offered another cup of tea or coffee, the tea bags didn't taste good. The only bright spot is the green trees inside the hotel, which are well maintained and pleasing to the eye. It's not convenient to eat near the hotel. Those people who gave good reviews on Ctrip and said that this hotel is good really find it strange.

The food is delicious, the place is also comfortable, although it looks small in the lobby, but it turns out that the hotel is very aesthetic.. I love it 😊

Amaris Hotel Malioboro - Jogja

To Malioboro, just walk, just get off from the room. The best! You can go to Malioboro anytime 24 hours without having to take online motorcycle taxis repeatedly, so it's super economical for a family vacation. If you want to go around Jogja, just take a pedicab, there are many from the front of the hotel. The breakfast is very varied and delicious, there are also many kids-friendly menus. The representative swimming pool for children and adults has a partition, clean water, clean shower room. The AC in the room is cold, and the hot water is smooth. There is no water heater in the room, but there is a dispenser in the hallway and in the lobby there is a welcome drink, in the evening there is coffee and tea. The staff are friendly. Next time I go to Jogja, I won't look around anymore, I'll go straight to Amaris.

Had a great and comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean, although soundproofing to the hallway could be improved. Overall, for the value, you get a super nights rest in a location that is close to many amenities, restaurants, and attractions.

What a fabulous guest house. The rooms are lovely and uniquely designed with artwork and furnishings, giving it a curated appeal. Staff are so genuine and attentive, making friendly conversation and sharing helpful info on visiting the temples, local warungs to try, etc. Daily breakfasts were delicious, varied (a choice of three things, with new dishes as well), and plentiful. The pool area was sublime and the location in the lanes off the main streets makes it an oasis in this busy city. Highly recommended.
