We have been travelling the world for six months , stayed in alot of places but the Hyperion , Munich exceeded our expectations on all levels . Thank you for sharing your wonderful hotel with two grateful Kiwis 🇳🇿 the staff were friendly and helpful , the breakfast had great variety for hungry travellers , easy access to trams , metro etc , the rooms were spacious and the beds so comfortable and the best thing was a free minibar in the room , I mean who does that 🙌 We will recommend this place to many others as we continue our travels 🍺🍺

I actually booked 4 beds in the room, but there were 6 beds in that room.
I checked in quite late that day so I didn't say anything about it. However I should have said that. And also stuff (service is actually not as good as before) is a shame because I started the same hostel that was a really good experience besides a &o has a good reputation in my point of view. (Other a&o previously I stayed)
That's why I hope it's not happening next time.

Be careful!
Husband and I forgot something so we returned to our room after we were downstairs for less than 15 minutes. At the door handle, our ‘privacy’ sign was still hanging there but was covered by ‘housekeeping’ sign. And one maid was in the room! Although she said she was there to clean the room but it’s ridiculous as I believe it’s every hotel’s staff 101 to know what the sign means. There’s only one sign there too so it’s no way to confuse.
Anyways we let her did her cleaning before we packed our stuffs back into the luggages before we left the room again. There’s a man talking to her in front of our room, who then turned to ask us if everything ok. He said he’s a staff so my husband told him about what happened but he kept saying that no one would get into the room when there’s the sign hanging. Even when my husband showed him the sign that still hanging at the door, he kept repeating the same sentence for 6 times! Without saying any other words! Is he a robot, I wonder lol but that made my husband stop wasting the time with him and we left. At least, the maid said sorry to us at the end.
A cost-effective hotel near the exhibition. The room is bigger than expected, the hanging chair is quite comfortable, the decoration is very European, the facilities are a bit old, the bed and cups are very narrow, just get used to it. There is a football field behind, and there happened to be a game, which was quite exciting. The breakfast tasted okay. Remember to confirm the itinerary before booking. Because my itinerary changed, I negotiated to cancel the last night several days in advance but was rejected. Maybe I was too strict... In short, it is a cost-effective choice during the exhibition.
We stayed here for Adele's concert! Location wise if you are taking public transportation, theres a station near the hotel around 500m, but if you are taking big luggage bags with you, its going to be a hassle a bit. The hotel situated a bit outside from the town area which we very much like it. The amenities were great, staffs were helpful and very nice. The room was great too! They have a coffee machine at the lounge area for a price of 3€ and some snacks for sell too.
It is actually a really beautiful and cool hotel, close to the metro/ train, you will be in the city centre within 25 mins. And you will find supermarket/ bakery and drugstore right next to the hotel. Love the small kitchen inside the room. And the room is pretty spacious.
Unfortunately, it is a bit inconvenient to us. It is more like a self serve hotel, cleaning will only come if you stay with them more than 5 days. If I am travelling alone, it would be fine for me. With 2 small kids and elderly it is just a bit inconvenient.
Overall definitely recommend to ppl who travel for business or with friends or even family with teenagers.
Very good hotel, high-end and classy, nothing else, the hotel is very close to the subway entrance, very convenient, next time I go to Munich, I will choose it again, must praise it!
GGuest UserFirst the positive:
The breakfast buffet was rich and appealing with very nice service staff.
There was a super great pizzeria and gelateria, which were on the ground floor of the hotel. We had a great evening there and the pizzas were just perfect and authentically Italian.
The negative side: We booked three rooms. The rooms would actually be modern and nice. But no matter where you look: NOTHING was clean! The sheets/towels were changed, but I had the impression that the cleaning was not done at all or only very superficially. Dirt on the shelf, the ledge, lots of crumbs on the floor, chalky fittings, dirty toilet seat, mold on the rubber seals in the shower, dirty cabinets, doors, door latches. Worst: Dirty and disgusting duvets when you pull back the sheet. Something like that should be washed if it has stains. Disgust factor to the power of 10. I spend 8-10 weeks a year in hotels, but this was an impertinence that I had never seen before.
At night:
Loud bass music blared through the walls and floor until about 2am. Youngsters were in front of the window, which made noise until 5 in the morning. It was way too warm in the room. I am aware that the hotel cannot do anything about the noisy people in front of the room and the heat, but it was just crowning the rest. It was just horrific. We booked this hotel to recover from a long drive and drive more on the next day. Recovery wasn’t possible as we all couldn’t sleep.
I will never book a Dormero hotel again. The term “fancy” they love to use means something completely different in my world.
WWeerasiriThe room is clean and staff is very nice I request for the hot water and they lend me the electric hot pot.
The location is very close to the central station and bus stop of the lufthansa express bus from airport so it’s very convenience to go out of town or to airport as it pretty close to the transport hub. The bus terminal is also in walkable range. The room still use the key not the electric lock pad but you can leave the key to the reception and take it when your’e back. There’s luggage storage room as well.
AAnonymous UserGreat hotel right next to Ostbanhoff. Rooms are very small, but super comfortable. If I needed to be based walking distance to Ostbanhoff I would happily stay here again. One interesting thing that I liked was that we were able to pay for much later check out (4pm) for only €20 which was very convenient and useful for us.
TTanBSThe hotel is a bit far from the central city, nearly 3km, but the price/performance ratio is very high. There are also buses that go directly to the center of the old city, which is very convenient. There is a supermarket not far away, so you can buy some beer on the way out.
GGuest UserCheck-in was smooth and the receptionist was very nice. The bed was clean and the room seemed clean overall — except for one shocking detail. Minutes before checkout, we found a used menstrual cup on the closet floor.
We had arrived late after a long day of travel, so we only went straight to shower and sleep, and didn’t notice it until the morning. This shows the room was not properly cleaned before our stay. For a hotel, this is absolutely unacceptable and a serious hygiene issue.
JJylsLifeStorySuch a beautiful place, so clean, easy check in, friendly staff. There's no kettle or coffee maker or refrigerator or water bottles or vending machines. No one informed me that the lift doesn't work at night or that I would need to exit/enter through a door with a key at the bottom of the stairwell instead of through the reception area. Seems like a fire hazard, and if you're handicapped, you're trapped.
SsiccillaiEnvironment: It takes 9-10 minutes to walk from the train station. There are no supermarkets around the hotel, and restaurants are also a bit far away. The surrounding area is deserted, but it is very close to the subway station, so traveling is quite convenient.
Facilities: The room is not large, relatively dark, and the bathroom is also very small. Overall it doesn't meet the 4-star standard. The only good thing is the 24-hour drink machine.
