Advantages:
1. Famous landmark, symbol of Huzhou, light show
2. Lake view from the room
3. Stunning service, butler Lucy is great! And everyone in this hotel is super nice and helpful, doing their best job! The staff is real luxury in this place.
4. Hot springs (many choices, clean)
5. Decent breakfast (a real honeycomb, cheese selection , grilled chicken, they even prepared egg Benedict for us)
Disadvantages:
1. It’s really old and you can feel it-outdated “tired” furniture, decorations, dirty carpets
2. Odour in the room (“aged” smoke)
3. Ridiculous prices for 7-eleven quality food (ordered room service), the worst Caesar salad I’ve ever tried (although I was reimbursed easily)
4. Some facilities are out of order, like a steam room
5. Dirty pool (the water was not clear, the staff told us that’s because there were too many people)
I’d like to thank Lucy and other employees for doing everything they could to make us happy. I still recommend this place for a short stay and experiencing the hot springs.

The room was great - very clean and spacious. The hot water available on the first floor was a thoughtful touch, and the service was excellent. Right downstairs is the No. 93 bus stop, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Yuehe Street and Shaonian Road, which is incredibly convenient.

When I came to Shaoxing, I chose this hotel. The hotel location is pretty good, the environment is nice, and the courtyard is also very spacious. There's even a friendly little cat named Fugui in the lobby. The room was clean and comfortable, and I felt very safe staying there alone. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and a stroll through the old streets at night was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and I had a very comfortable stay here.

We had a great stay. The guesthouse host was incredibly welcoming; they even went out of their way to meet and pick us up. They also helped us purchase discounted tickets. By communicating our arrival time and mode of transport in advance, they were able to suggest the most convenient travel options, which was incredibly helpful.

The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. Although the hotel has been open for a while, it's well-maintained and the in-room amenities are comfortable. The lake-view rooms are particularly popular, featuring large balconies that offer stunning lake views. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Qiandao Lake, making it convenient for transportation. There are also plenty of dining options and amenities nearby.

Excellent stay! The B&B offers free shuttle service to/from Nanxun Ancient Town, and the boat drops you off right at the guesthouse entrance. The owner was super friendly and even helped us with our luggage at the pier. They also treated us to the special Nanxun 'three-course tea' service, which we enjoyed right by the water in front of the guesthouse – so relaxing! The B&B is perfectly situated in the heart of Baijianlou, offering the most beautiful views. My girlfriends and I had a blast taking tons of photos here! Highly recommend.

This time I stayed in a two-story garden view villa in Phase 1. There's a living room on the first floor and the bedroom is on the second floor. There's also a mini courtyard outside, which is particularly charming.
The bathroom has been newly renovated, with a glass door, new shower walls, and a well-maintained showerhead. The toilet has a smart seat, which dispels the online reviews saying Phase 1 is old-fashioned. The hotel is gradually upgrading. Today, I even saw them replacing the TVs in the rooms, switching from LG to Philips!
The mattress is very comfortable, and you can request latex or oat pillows. Even though each villa is independent, room service is incredibly quick; anything you ask for is delivered promptly.
Hotel buggies are available for transportation, supposedly every five minutes, but they're basically on-call. The staff members are all very polite and ask where we're going, offering their own tips. Special thanks to Chen Fu, who helped carry our luggage all the way when he picked us up. I was dawdling, and he patiently waited by the luggage instead of going to the car first. Very professional and truly understands service!
Check-out was very quick; handing in the key and getting the invoice done in one go. Lu Jie, the staff member at the front desk, was very polite and professional, answering all my questions fluently. He even thoughtfully gave me a souvenir, fermented bean curd and preserved vegetables.
The hotel breakfast is a bit mediocre and repetitive; it's the same every day. However, the quality of the items is good. It's a case of good quality making up for a lack of variety.
If I had to point out a flaw, it would be the turndown service. I specifically asked and confirmed it was available, but after a day out, I returned to the room and nothing had been done. When I called to inquire, they said their turndown service is exactly like that – nothing!?! Fortunately, I've stayed at Kaiyuan Qiziwan for half a month, so I know Kaiyuan trains its staff. Since our domestic brands are becoming stronger and services more diverse, I still hope they can learn some excellent service practices from international hotels.

Great location, just a few minutes' walk from Lu Xun's former residence. The hotel has a Japanese style, with an elegant, fresh, and tasteful ambiance. The decor also pays great attention to detail, and the room even has a place to dry clothes (something most five-star hotels lack). The breakfast is extensive, offering both Chinese and Western options. What truly stands out is the butler's WeChat service – very responsive and smooth communication. They provide complimentary sweet soup daily in the room, and on the night of check-in, we received fruit and incense. Overall, I really loved this boutique hotel.

This hotel stay truly exceeded my expectations! Not only were the views from the window stunning and pleasant, but the service was also incredibly thoughtful and memorable. From the warm and attentive check-in at the front desk, to the housekeeping staff who promptly responded to requests and kept the room spotless during my stay, even the restaurant staff were meticulous, proactively recommending dishes and refilling tea and water. The entire experience was top-notch, and I will definitely choose this place again for my next trip!

GGuest UserSuper fun! This was one of the theme hotels that were hidden on the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street set. Appropriately, the Rosslyn Hotels' brand icon is the Landlady from Kungfu Hustle.
Upon arrival, you check in at the North Gate's Tourist Services Desk. The concierge welcomed me with a complimentary bag of fresh fruit and asking me to add their butler (Housekeeper Xiao Xiao) to my WeChat. If I needed anything, I just had to text the Housekeeper Xiao Xiao (who was super helpful with all my questions (in English) during my stay). Then the bellhop whisked me away, via golf cart, to my hotel.
There were several hidden hotels, with different themes, throughout the set.
The bellhop took me through an unassuming door among into what looked like an empty set, and up an elevator to the room floors.
The walkway offered a lovely view of the Ming Qing Palace set next door. The rooms were supposed to be themed as Guangzhou and Hong Kong in the 70s and 80s, but could easily pass for old Shanghai.
The room was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable, the shower has nice and hot and with fantastic water pressure. The room has some of the largest closet space that I have seen in any hotel. The WiFi worked without the need to register a local cellphone number (I've found that many other hotels, in China, offered free WiFi, but you need to verify with an ID code text to you. The texts never come through to my U.S. phone number, so I have never been able to take advantage of free WiFi; that is until I got to this hotel.) The little details were delightful surprises around every corner. They always refer to guests as ”laoshi” (an honorific of teacher, or master, bestowed to actors) or as ”starlet”. Not gonna lie, I really wanted to take home the pair of the room's bone china cups.
The stay also comes with very decent breakfast buffet that had both Chinese and western dishes. They will even make you fresh wontons and noodle soups to order. The restaurants in the park are not great and quite expensive by China's standard. I recommend loading up at the more tasty free breakfast to power through the day.
The hotel's location was very convenient for touring Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street; which had very lively evening shows. (As you walk through the streets, look at the stores' signs and test your TV shows and movie knowledge by finding the Easter eggs.) The Qing Ming Palace Set is across the street from the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street's South Gateon the other side of the park (don't worry, it's not that far). To access the other sets, you can take their shuttle, but it does not come around very often. It's more efficient to get a Didi.
Overall, it was a magical stay of being in the movies.
CClem + Ant1I had an amazing stay at Yunhe Meet B&B.
The Minsu is located in the village not far from the scenic spot ticket office.
The owners are a lovely couple and their son, they are very caring and communication was not a problem. We used wechat and phone translate to take with the son and ladyboss. They offered me welcome snacks and more snacks after my hike. Breakfast was very very generous and freshly prepared for local dishes with local ingredients.
I had a room with 2 single beds which are quite large soit didn’t feel like a single bed, recommended for a solo traveler if the queen bed isn’t available. Water was warm and shower had good pressure. Everything is very clean.
Auntie took me to the park entrance with her electric mini truck to help me catch the morning bus.
They also recommended some small hikes around the village and help me to find the return bus to Lishui.
Thank you for the great stay ! Wish you the best !
GGuest UserThe hotel facilities are great, and the service is excellent. It's really convenient for getting around and exploring. We were traveling with elderly family and children to Hengdian. We originally booked a room with two 1.5-meter twin beds hoping to push them together to make a larger bed, but the bed frames were fixed and couldn't be moved. The front desk proactively helped us switch to a family room, which was incredibly thoughtful! We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit! 👍👍👍
MM787019****The hotel I stayed at this time was quite satisfactory. Parking is convenient, there is a bus stop next to the hotel, it is especially easy to go out by car, whether it is to go to the attractions or the business district is very convenient. The room is OK, the space is not cramped, and the daily activities are completely enough. Toiletries are also quite complete, toothbrushes, combs and face towels are individually packaged, and you can rest assured. Cleaning will be cleaned on time, changing garbage bags and replenishing daily necessities are very timely, and the desktop floor is always clean. The front desk and floor attendants are very good. They patiently answer questions when checking in. They also take the initiative to help with luggage when checking out. They smile all the time and feel very kind. Next time I come here, I should choose this one again.
XXidan123Two days in advance, I added the housekeeper's WeChat and booked the meal and hot spring time.
It is more convenient to drive there. After locating their parking lot, a housekeeper will pick us up to check in at the B&B.
The room is still clean as a whole, with everything it should have. The welcome fruits and flowers are still very warm. There is only a window on the top to watch the starry sky. The glass is a little dirty after a long time, but it doesn't affect it at night.
After that, we walked around. The content of the B&B is still very complete, with a large room for dinner, facilities for children to play, hot springs and swimming pools, and places to read and drink tea.
Walking out of the B&B, the village is peaceful and quiet. Walk around and feel the environment and culture of Maoao Village.
I made an appointment for dinner and hot springs in the evening at the B&B. Because it is a reservation system, it is equivalent to a private soup, which feels good. Half an hour is completely enough. The dinner tastes good, and the chef gives a good review.
The above.
GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy, with a cozy and quiet atmosphere. The front desk staff were warm and attentive. During the May Day holiday, the hotel even thoughtfully provided free lunch, which was fantastic value for money. My stay was incredibly comfortable, making it my top choice for accommodation when traveling. Highly recommended!
MmayrpamintuanYouwang Meicen Homestay is conveniently located right next to Hefang Old Street, making it an excellent choice for travelers who enjoy being close to a lively walking street filled with various food stalls, eateries, and shops. The location is very vibrant and convenient, especially in the evenings. However, do note that there are stairs leading to the property, so it may not be ideal if you are traveling with a lot of heavy luggage.
When we arrived, our room was not yet ready, so we took the opportunity to explore the surrounding area. The owner was very proactive and messaged us as soon as the room became available, and by the time we returned, our luggage had already been placed inside the room, which we appreciated.
The room itself was spacious and uniquely designed with two levels: a living area downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. There were plenty of hangers, a clothes rack, and an open cabinet for organizing belongings. The mini bar included bottled water that was replenished daily, and the bathroom came with complete amenities. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable, though I did notice a small face mask wrapper left near the bed.
One highlight was the availability of staff 24/7. One night, our key card stopped working, but thankfully there was someone on-site who assisted us immediately. The property also has a vending machine, a 24/7 eatery, and a taproom near the street entrance that stays open late, adding to the convenience.
Overall, Youwang Meicen Homestay offers a comfortable stay in a prime location, with spacious rooms, helpful staff, and easy access to food and nightlifeideal for travelers who want to experience Hefang Old Street up close.
GGuest UserThe hotel room was very clean, the environment was great, and the facilities were complete. There was 24-hour hot water, and every room had air conditioning that worked very well. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and the service was enthusiastic. Right outside, there's a 'Small World' with many specialty snacks from Hangzhou.
GGregoryFacilities: The room is very good, very suitable for couples to take photos, and the view of the small bridge opposite is great!
Hygiene: The room hygiene is very good, nothing to fault
Service: The boss picked us up from Xizha in the evening and helped us pick up our luggage at noon and deliver our luggage the next day. He was really considerate! The service is very attentive!
