After comparing many hotels in Sanya, I finally chose Rosewood based on overall considerations. Since I was traveling with my 6-year-old child, I contacted the hotel in advance to arrange for a butler! After checking in, I truly felt I made the right choice! The butler's service was incredibly attentive! They thought of details I hadn't even considered!!
The room overall was very comfortable, and the heated pool satisfied my child's desire to swim without worrying about cold water! There was also a floating afternoon tea, and any photos taken there turned out beautifully!
I really have to commend the Rosewood kitchen team. The breakfast at 13 East changed daily (and the à la carte menu rotated daily too). I stayed for three days and had room service delivered three times! The taste surprised me every time! The Fishermen's restaurant on the first floor is also excellent, especially their roasted oysters with 'Bawang' sauce! You absolutely have to try them!
The beach bar was also fantastic! It wasn't crowded, so we found a spot to sit, enjoy the sea breeze, sip cocktails, and let my child play in the sand – it was incredibly relaxing!
All in all, I was extremely, extremely satisfied with this trip! If I ever get the chance to visit Sanya again, I will definitely choose Rosewood!

I had a wonderful vacation at Seawind Pavilion this time; the overall experience far exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to relax.
**Scenery and Accommodation:** The hotel's location is superb. As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the stunning ocean and coconut groves. The room design was very tasteful, and I could watch the sea right from my bed. The comfort level was perfect, making it ideal for a ”lie-flat” vacation.
**Dining Surprises:** The breakfast quality was excellent, especially the Eggs Benedict. The chef creatively incorporated passion fruit into the sauce, and the refreshing fruitiness perfectly balanced the richness of the egg yolk. It was very refreshing and the most unique version I've ever tasted!
**Activity Experience:** The hotel offers a wide range of activities, so you'll never be bored. I participated in sea fishing and snorkeling. Sea fishing was very rewarding, and snorkeling allowed me to see many fish, indicating a very healthy ecosystem. Additionally, the travel photography service was very professional, with a high success rate for great photos.
**Butler Service:** This is the part I want to praise the most. A special thank you to our butlers, Jessica and Grace. From pre-check-in communication to farewell at departure, their arrangements were meticulous and made us feel very warm. Having Jessica there made the trip so much more enjoyable! 👍👍

Our trip to Raffles Clearwater Bay was made even more special and warm thanks to Diana's excellent service! Even before we checked in, she proactively reached out via WeChat. Knowing we were traveling with a child, she thoughtfully arranged for kids' amenities and corner protectors in advance. She also reserved a sea-view room with a fantastic view, featuring a private balcony overlooking the 'singing white sand beach.'
During check-in, she meticulously explained the hotel layout, hand-drew directions to the restaurants and pool, and even thoughtfully noted the times for the evening ceremony at Long-Le Bar and the kids' club activities. For dining, she helped us book a scenic table at Baiwei Chinese Restaurant, and her recommendations for lobster wontons and Lingshui sour noodles were incredibly authentic. When we wanted to experience the spa, she quickly arranged an appointment and advised us on avoiding peak hours.
Mid-trip, we decided we wanted to add a travel photoshoot. Diana instantly coordinated with a photographer and even scouted the best photo spots in the tropical gardens and by the beach chapel beforehand. The minibar and her handwritten, warm notes showed thoughtfulness in every detail.
From itinerary planning to unexpected requests, Diana was consistently professional and gentle, providing proactive service that made our entire trip worry-free. She truly is a 'treasure of a butler'! Next time we come to Raffles, we'll definitely be looking for her again~

Although the hotel has been open for a while, the facilities and environment are truly exceptional – very clean and tidy. My only minor complaint is that the outdoor pool felt a bit too simple.
The breakfast buffet is huge with an incredible variety of dishes. I stayed two days and still couldn't try everything! The Hainan specialty Hou'an noodles were delicious, and so were the Jianbing Guozi (savory crepes).
Dinner was also excellent. The Hainan yellow beef was very fresh and the quality was good. The Zao Po Cu (vinegar soup) and spicy soup were appetizing and tasty. There was also a live band performing 🎤. It would have been even more perfect if cocktails 🍹 were available. The Wenchang chicken was very fresh.
Service was consistently great. The hotel offers many adult activities, but you definitely need to book them in advance, as it's very difficult to get a spot by booking on the same day.
I had a wonderful trip. The hotel had a full itinerary of activities, and the scenery was beautiful. Special thanks to our butler, Mile, for their thoughtful service, including preparing fruit and a small cake. The activity arrangements and bookings were very reliable. 👍
The handsome guy at the front desk upgraded me to a room with a higher floor and a better view. The room is uniquely designed, brightly lit and cozy (many hotel rooms are not very brightly lit), which is very satisfactory. We had dinner at the hotel, the restaurant service was very enthusiastic, and they specifically noted that our dishes should be lighter, and the dishes served were really good, thank you 🙏. The hotel is next to the scenic spot. Although it was drizzling, it was still nice to borrow an umbrella from the front desk to walk around. In February, I could smell the faint fragrance of osmanthus and saw many flowers I had never seen before. It is a very good hotel!
Whenever I want to eat seafood, I always like to go to Maniao. The first choice for staying is Lingao Country Garden Golden Beach. The hotel should have been opened for more than ten years. The hotel facilities are well maintained and the service level is excellent. This year, it was quite unexpected that a staff member contacted me in advance the day before check-in, and arranged a room for me in advance and upgraded it. Thank you very much.
I hope that the service level can be maintained for a long time. There are not many good hotels on the west line of Hainan.

The hotel is indeed a bit old; some tiles flaked off the walls while I was in the hot springs, which was a minor annoyance. However, the environment is absolutely beautiful. The hotel is built within the Seven-仙-Ling tropical rainforest, with varying elevations, a well-arranged layout, and lush vegetation, providing an abundance of negative oxygen ions. The service is also thoughtful and attentive; they are always ready to assist and respond promptly. The hot springs themselves are very comfortable and relaxing.
This was my first trip and I had a fantastic time! The cost was reasonable, and we avoided all the back-and-forth traffic that usually comes with popular tourist routes. Let me start with check-in. I'm from Haikou and after seeing good reviews and reasonable prices, I drove 2.5 hours specifically to check this place out, and it definitely didn't disappoint. First, parking was easy with plenty of spots right in front of the lobby. When I arrived, the front desk was quite busy, so I didn't expect overly enthusiastic service. With so many guests, I understood, and I was just grateful that the staff processed my check-in quickly. Second, the service was outstanding. I had booked a package deal, and due to an oversight during booking, I booked a king-sized bed for our family of four. When I brought this to the front desk's attention, the staff immediately changed us to a twin room. The room was very spacious, with a small balcony and access to the swimming pool. Xiao Lin, who was on duty that day, patiently taught me about the activities available at the resort. The swimming pool attendant was also very friendly, and the archery range attendant, being from mainland China, was very outgoing. The kids loved the complimentary archery session, then went on to play bumper cars and laser tag. They had an absolute blast, and the prices were reasonable. I ended up buying two more '3 activities for 98 yuan' packages.
Third, the food. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, probably around 60 different items. The restaurant's operating hours were also very considerate; breakfast ran until 10:30 AM and lunch until 2:30 PM. It's truly designed for a relaxed vacation. I do have a small suggestion: the Chinese restaurant's service and decor were excellent, but the Hainan sour bamboo shoot with sliced pork dish they offered that day, while delicious in Hainan, really impacted the restaurant's aroma. The entire restaurant smelled of it. I suggest perhaps offering more universally appealing dishes that don't have such a strong scent. On a positive note, the steamed yellow croaker at the restaurant was exceptionally good; my daughter said it was the best steamed fish she'd ever had. Oh, and there are also many great food options around the hotel. We ate at the hotel on our first day, and both the price and taste were good. But we also wanted to experience local cuisine, so we went into town. We were lucky to find a restaurant called 'Hunan Renjia' – the proprietress's warm welcome immediately convinced us. Our family had four dishes, all very generous portions. I highly recommend the fan bone, stir-fried crab, Japanese tofu, and steamed egg. The total bill was 245 yuan. Our kids were so satisfied; they truly cleaned their plates.
There are also many activities available. The three water activities are all grouped together: swimming, a water park, and a lazy river. (When buying tickets, make sure to check if the water park is included, as it costs 60 yuan per person if not.) There's also a naughty castle, a gym, and a beachcombing activity (starts at 9:00 AM; I recommend kids wear sandals for this, or even go barefoot to feel the seawater. Don't use the small water shoes provided by the hotel as they fill with water and are hard to walk in, preventing kids from fully experiencing the sea.) The guest rooms are also really nice. We received complimentary fresh fruit, and there's a big bathtub which we loved. The kids bathed in it on the first day, but honestly, we barely spent any time in the room afterward; there were too many fun activities to enjoy! We checked out at noon that day and didn't return to Haikou until 7:00 PM. Next time, I'll definitely aim for a three-day, two-night package. Well, I hope this review provides some helpful tips for future travelers. Oh, and if you're a light sleeper, I also recommend this place. The soundproofing in their rooms is truly excellent; not a single noise. This is my first time writing such a detailed hotel review.

I specifically chose this Hilton hotel because I was going to Wenchang to watch a rocket launch. The value for money was pretty good.
If you're going to watch a rocket, make sure you know whether it's a commercial or national launch. Longlou Town and Dongjiao Town will have traffic control, and you'll need a reservation to enter. Commercial launches are in Longlou Town, which is very difficult to book. Although the hotel is a bit further away in Dongjiao, you can still get a distant view of the rocket launching.
After booking, a butler called and added me on WeChat, recommending local food, attractions, and hotel facilities, and even arranging pre-booked photo shoots.
Butler Lulu knew I was traveling with a child and recommended a family room. The decor was truly special, and there were astronaut suits to try on for photos.
There are also many nearby attractions, including the hotel's mini-train, squirrel feeding, and various other fun activities. Although it takes about 5 minutes to walk to the beach, it doesn't diminish my fondness for this hotel.
The photo shoot was particularly great. We could select photos immediately after, and the results were beautiful and efficient. Adding an extra photo was only 20, which is good value for money and left us with wonderful memories of our trip.

GGzfanfan2025.12.08
The Hilton is definitely the best hotel on Ocean Flower Island, and its location is fantastic. There's a gourmet food street nearby, and a McDonald's just a few steps downstairs. It's super convenient for catching the light show at night, and visiting the museum complex and outlet mall during the day.
The hotel facilities are also great; having a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music is a nice touch.
The first room I stayed in was quite small. Even though the front desk had thoughtfully given me a room on a higher floor, the hallway in the room still felt cramped. Later, because the air conditioning broke, they moved me to a larger sea-view room, and suddenly, the room felt much more comfortable.
The biggest downside in the room was that the shower water wasn't hot enough. After showering, I was freezing! It was practically lukewarm water. The bath towels were also cold, not absorbent, and felt slippery – just so cold.
Another drawback was that the windows were very heavy; you needed staff to help open or close them, which was a bit inconvenient.
Overall, the service staff were generally very good, and my overall experience was still pretty positive.

HHweiling OwThe place was hard to find. There are tonnes of shop lots at the bottom of one entrance, and the other entrance had a large open area with stairs that goes up. The security guard I asked did not recognise the name, and there is no obvious signs that I could pick up. (I cannot read mandarin). I dont think there was any other way aside from contacting the person via the app. Even if you found the entrance, there is no obvious reception area.
We had to ring the contact person on the Trip.com app, and I had family who could speak mandarin to help guide the rest of the process. He is helpful and quick to respond. He brought us through a metal door, to a dark alleyway with lifts inside. If we weren't in a group of seven, I would have worried about my organs at this point.
There was a bit of a juggle with my cousins and my side of the family. So I ended up staying in the THREE BEDROOM APARTMENT. The layout of the three bedroom apartment (located on the 18th floor) that we ended up in is similar to the two bedroom apartment with the lounge carved up to create a new bedroom. apartment is quick to respond. The two bedroom apartment (located on the 25th floor) felt bigger and cleaner, and had better views.
From here onwards, it is the review for the THREE BEDROOM APARTMENT: We ran out of toilet paper and had air-conditioning issues. The contact person is quick to respond and solve our issues. The beds are hard for my body that is use to a softer version. There is no daily cleaning services that suits us. They supply toothbrushes, shower caps, body and shampoo wash in the bathroom, and disposable towels. The towels can be reused during the time you are there, but they are meant to be thrown away so they dont have the responsibility to rewash the towels. We didn't use the swimming pool on the third floor as we were too busy. It is RMB4 per use. They also supply a singular giant bottle of water. I think it was 5 litres. The air conditioning units in all three rooms work. Our view is a live view of how Sanya people live in Sanya, families in another building, the locals sitting on their balcony on a hot day.
You get a couple of tags to tag into the building, out of the building, into the lift, and into the bedroom. There is also a code you can type in to get access into the building. When we left, the contact person helped us with getting a taxi to the hotel. It went through his account and we paid him cash rounding up to the closest amount. He did not want any more for helping us. He was extremely helpful.
This is one of the cheaper choices in Sanya - and my rating is for the price and location.

MM358679****This stay truly exceeded my expectations! The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for visiting attractions and shopping districts. Check-in was super fast, and they even recommended nearby restaurants. The room was spotless, the bedding was incredibly comfortable, and I slept through the night. The bathroom had a nice dry/wet area with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was varied, with both Chinese and Western options, and the food was delicious. They even gave me a small gift upon check-out, which was a pleasant surprise! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit, and I highly recommend it to everyone!
XXingliumingyuanzifengqiangI stayed for two nights and got a complimentary airport transfer (either pickup or drop-off). The free drop-off service was excellent and efficient. The driver was very punctual.
**Ambiance:** The environment is fantastic. You can see the ocean right from your bed, and there are beachfront restaurants and coffee shops.
**Facilities:** The smart devices are great and very responsive.

ZZhijianliushideshiguangThe front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and the hotel environment was lovely! Watching movies on the projector at night was so relaxing, and waking up to large windows overlooking coconut groves and green lawns was fantastic. Even though we didn't book a sea-view room, we could still catch glimpses of the ocean, haha. The hotel is located in the Tianya Haijiao scenic town, so private cars can't drive directly in. You can take a sightseeing shuttle from the parking lot to the hotel for 5 yuan per person, which drops you and your luggage right at the entrance. It was a great way to experience the town's charm along the way. Overall, a wonderful experience!

GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy, and the housekeeper personally came to pick us up. The service was very intimate and water and toiletries were prepared. The view from the residence is really beautiful. You can surf downstairs. There is also a shooting place for the TV drama Xiahua. There are also amusement facilities downstairs. Unfortunately, these two days are cloudy, but fortunately, this trip time is short. I will choose here next time.
SSijiyoukeStayed for one night and the room was very good, and stayed for another night. The room was clean and tidy, very warm, the sea view was first-rate, and you could see the sunrise 🌄 700 meters downstairs is the beach by the sea. This is a surfing resort. It is very convenient to eat and buy things downstairs. If you have the opportunity to come back and play, you will still live in Maduo Oye Hotel 🏨 Recommended
GGuest UserLocation: right on the promenade by the beach with restaurants and convenient stores nearby.
Service: the staff were very friendly and patient with the language barrier.
Amenities: I liked the balcony with a dining table. The room was very spacious with nice decor. I appreciated how they gave me washing up liquid and laundry detergent. Other places I stayed at in Hainan didn't and I had to buy my own. I liked the amount of storage space. However, I don't like disposable towels. It's very uncomfortable. Some of the cooking equipment they provided was very old and worn out. It should be updated. There also wasn't any hot water in the kitchen or bathroom sinks, making it difficult to wash my hands or dirty dishes properly
Cleanliness: severely lacking. The cleaning staff don't do a thorough job. The bathroom floor was wet when I checked in and the bathroom stank of urine. The shelves in the fridge were also really dirty. It also looked like the cleaner forgot to clean the toilet. And for some reason they filled the holes in the shower wall with toilet paper.
Overral: Because they don't provided hot water for dish and hand washing and don't clean their rooms properly before check-in, I cannot recommend others to stay here cause it's a health violation. Next time I go to Haikou I will find a cleaner place to stay with hot water throughout the property.
It's a shame because it's a really nice property in a great location. Great but wasted potential.

JJiajiadejia1209Right across from People's Park, with free parking downstairs and easy access to taxis. The hotel offers complimentary snacks and unlimited drinks, plus robot delivery service, giving it a very modern and high-tech feel. The bedding in the room is quite comfortable. However, the open-plan sink area can be a bit noisy, and while the toilet is separate, it's not fully enclosed. This could be awkward if you're sharing with someone you're not very close to; it's really only suitable for families.

MMauveMHad a wonderful stay here at Forest Inn, Hainan University! My cousin is starting university nearby and we came to drop her off. Since we had stayed in the downtown before, we wanted to find a place close to campus to experience. This hotel is the best option! It’s right within the campus entrance and easy to navigate to. The front desk concierge’s were very friendly and kind - two of them even took us around on the tour bus to familiarize us with the campus and surrounding area. They even went out of their way and offered to help us unload luggage. Since there was no parking space on move-in day, having the option to drop off saved us a lot of hassle. In addition to campus, the hotel is also located close to a botanical garden, about 15 minutes to the downtown area, and close to shops, stores, etc.
Some suggestions:
- Wish the pool was accessible as advertised on Trip but it’s now only a kiddie pool.
- For longer stays, room amenities should be replenished daily based on number of guests.
- I received a rather expensive delivery during my stay and asked the courier to leave it with the front desk as I was out during that time. There was someone at the front desk with a poor attitude who denied that any deliveries arrived and suggested it had been delivered to another location. Luckily, another staff member helped me check and found my delivery. I suggest besides giving guests misleading information, to ensure it’s accurate first.
