GGuest UserI came to Kunming for a relaxing getaway and specifically chose the Dianyu Yunjing, a hotel focused on wellness, and my stay far exceeded expectations – it's truly a hidden gem of a resort by Dianchi Lake. The hotel is right next to Daguan Park, offering a tranquil escape amidst the bustling city. The new Chinese-style courtyard is surrounded by lush greenery, exuding a strong Zen ambiance, with photo opportunities everywhere. The room cleanliness was impeccable; every corner was spotless. The smart home system was convenient and easy to use. The zero-pressure bedding combined with soothing aromatherapy and excellent soundproofing ensured a peaceful and restful sleep every night.
The most delightful surprise was the exclusive wellness programs. The complimentary singing bowl meditation was incredibly soothing, with the ethereal sounds melting away all travel anxieties. The morning garden yoga also left me feeling relaxed and stretched. My reservation included free afternoon tea, featuring Dian-style tea paired with delicate pastries – sitting in the courtyard enjoying tea was incredibly pleasant. The front desk staff were gentle and patient, handling check-in efficiently and proactively sharing recommendations for local attractions. They were quick to respond to any request, and their service was perfectly balanced.
The hotel amenities are comprehensive, including a heated swimming pool and a self-service laundry room. The breakfast spread was extensive, catering to both northern and southern tastes. For the same price point, the ambiance, service, and unique experiences were all top-notch, providing a truly healing stay. These few days allowed me to completely shed my fatigue. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kunming and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating vacation.

YYeritianMy experience at Hyatt Regency Kunming this time was absolutely five-star plus!
I especially want to thank Bianca. She proactively contacted me even before check-in to confirm my itinerary and needs. She stayed in touch throughout my stay, and no matter what questions I had or what I thought of last minute, her response time was incredibly fast. More importantly, she personally followed up on every single request; it wasn't just a simple ”Okay,” but she truly made sure everything was handled before feeling at ease.
She also proactively arranged the welcome fruit, snacks, and turn-down service beforehand. I barely had to worry about a thing during my entire stay. Nowadays, many hotels have great hardware, but it's rare to find such detailed and warm service.
I also really loved the hotel itself. The overall design is very tasteful, and both the public areas and guest rooms are beautiful. I took so many photos this time; every corner was picture-perfect.
I've always had high expectations for Hyatt's service standards, but Bianca's performance still exceeded them. I'd even say her service surpassed my expectations for the Hyatt brand itself. She made me realize that what truly makes a hotel memorable for guests isn't just beautiful spaces and excellent facilities, but rather having someone who genuinely cares about your every need.
This stay left a very deep impression on me about Hyatt Regency Kunming, and I hope the hotel will recognize Bianca appropriately. Such service is truly rare and is the most important reason why I would choose Hyatt Regency Kunming again.

AAnonymous UserThe apartment is great and the lady who took care of us answered promptly to our requests, so it's a great option if you want to feel like you're actual living in Kunming, instead of just being a guest in a hotel. The only minor issues is that there seem to be some stains in the ground that should be cleaned more thoroughly, and also the wok that we were offered to cook had a lot of burnt oil on the bottom, so the moment we put it on the hob it started to burn and stink. We gave up on cooking because we didn't want to have any accident or fire (incidentally, someone else triggered the fire alarm on our last night). We later asked for a small pot to boil the eggs we had bought and that small pot was great, so I think more care should be put on the cooking utensils offered to the guests. If it weren't for those small things, I'd have nothing to say but good things, so I hope this feedback can help this great hotel become perfect haha. Thanks for all your help and kindness, 阿姨！

I live in China and travel through KMG airport often for layovers and have stayed at the Ji Hotel right inside the airport. That hotel is okay (and has the location advantage of being right inside the terminal) but feels very stuffy and many of the rooms have no windows.
In many ways that hotel isa broom closet compared tithe DoubleTree 🌳 🌳.
The DoubleTree by Hilton blows that Ji Hotel (and most others in the KMG area) out of the water💦!
For an extra 10 minute private van ride, the upgrade in conditions is significant and well worthwhile.
The lobby is beautiful and the breakfast is a true 5 star masterpiece that has LOTS of options for both western and Chinese tourists, including made to order egg station, made to order noodle station, and an incredible fresh salad 🥗 bar with high quality ingredients (very hard to find in China 😜).
The service staff is top notch with great English at check in and very helpful all the way through. The hotel is brand new and everything is sparkling clean. The elevator is very fast and modern and the furnishings are all tasteful and elegant!
There are so many free extras that make this an incredible value:

GGuest UserThe hotel environment is fantastic, right next to Yulongwan Park. There's a small path leading to the back entrance of the park, and it's lush with greenery, making the air really fresh. The front desk staff (especially the young lady) was super friendly and provided excellent service. The room was spacious, and all the drinks in the minibar were complimentary. It also had a balcony, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying a cup of tea – super relaxing!

LLavinia Ꮤ💐During my stay in Kunming, I chose this hotel renowned for its tropical ambiance. Upon check-in, there were certainly commendable aspects, as well as a few minor disappointments, which I'll honestly document for fellow travelers' reference.
🌴The hotel's most captivating feature is its environment. The lush, layered greenery gives the distinct impression of being in a tropical garden. The space is expansive, and the rooms are quite spacious with a well-designed layout, making for a very comfortable stay. Although it's been open for some years, it's evident that maintenance is meticulous; the walls, floors, and furniture are kept clean and tidy, with no signs of age. The vibrant green foliage is abundant, with winding paths creating a serene atmosphere. Being here feels like escaping into a quiet, hidden sanctuary deep within the city, far from the hustle and bustle, with the evening breeze rustling through the trees, gentle and relaxing.🍃
🏋🏻♀️I also want to specifically mention the fitness center and swimming pool. Their size is uncommon for hotels of this type, with a full range of equipment and crystal-clear pool water, making for an invigorating swim. The changing room facilities are also well-equipped. For those who regularly exercise, these are definite bonus features.
☔️However, during this stay, I also encountered a few minor disappointments. What was particularly disheartening was the lack of appropriate service etiquette. The hotel's greeting service seemed subjectively biased, treating guests inconsistently. I observed other arrivals being greeted with polite welcomes and gentle assistance with their luggage, while upon my arrival, no one inquired or assisted me. This disparity, the absence of a warm greeting or help, subtly diminished the initial excitement I felt upon entering the hotel.
Furthermore, for me personally, the mattress was too soft, and the pillow height wasn't ideal, leading to some shoulder and neck discomfort after a night's sleep. The comfort level definitely didn't meet my expectations.
Also, my friend arrived before me, and the room they were initially assigned had a leaking ceiling, possibly due to old facilities in some rooms. While the hotel promptly addressed it, I still hope that housekeeping can thoroughly inspect rooms before assigning them to guests.

The hotel has a limited number of lake-view rooms facing Cuihu, offering panoramic views of the entire lake, Kunming's lake and cityscapes, mountains, and the blue sky and white clouds. The hotel's location is superb, just a five-minute walk to Cuihu Park, with other attractions like Yuantong Temple and Huangdong Street nearby. The room decor is modern and stylish, with high-end amenities. Truly the best choice around Cuihu Lake.

The high-altitude view was absolutely stunning, offering expansive vistas perfect for capturing beautiful photos effortlessly. Breakfast offered a rich and fresh variety of dishes with plenty of choices to satisfy diverse tastes. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to a main road, making taxis and public transport easily accessible. Overall, the comfort level was exceptional; with attentive service and a prime environment, it's perfect for both leisure travel and short stays. It offers great value for money and is definitely worth returning to.

GGuest UserThis was my first time staying at this hotel, and my experience was absolutely fantastic. The location is great, near Kunming Station, and very close to MixC and Spring City 66, so the surrounding amenities are super convenient. The service was top-notch, and staying on a high floor allowed for amazing night views. The best part, though, was the incredibly comfortable swimming pool. I highly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserFacilities: This is a Shangri-La Group express hotel, boasting a stylish and modern design. It shares the same building with the main Shangri-La hotel, so guests have access to their gym and swimming pool. The brand-new amenities make for a very comfortable stay.
Location: It's conveniently located near the Parc 66 shopping mall area, and the Tuodong Sports Center Metro Station (Line 3) is right outside, making travel easy.
Service: The hotel's Kaitang Cafe offers an excellent breakfast with a wide variety of high-quality dishes, including local specialties and outstanding bakery items. The restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. The fitness center also provides fantastic service; they even offer complimentary coffee after your workout.
I'd also like to thank the front desk staff, ISABEL, LOUIS, and HALINA, for their excellent service during my stay.
