This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to give a hotel a positive review, mainly because Ms. Bianca's service was absolutely amazing! The day before we arrived, she proactively contacted us to ask about our needs. When she learned we were traveling with a baby, and since the hotel couldn't provide a bed rail, she upgraded our room and arranged for two beds to be pushed together. Every evening before we returned to the hotel, there was turn-down service, with water replenished, and the room was cleaned twice a day, so it was always spotless and tidy when we got back – it truly made us feel great! For deliveries and takeout, after contacting the hotel, the concierge would bring them directly to our room; the service was incredibly attentive! They never seemed bothered and always greeted us with a smile. We rented an electric car after landing in Kunming, and there are charging stations in the underground parking at Spring City 66, very close to the hotel!
The freshly baked flower pastries at breakfast were absolutely divine! Better than any I've bought elsewhere!!! The latte art in the coffee was so therapeutic! I travel frequently for business and leisure, and I've stayed in many five-star hotels, but I've only seen latte art at breakfast once before, at a hotel in Singapore! They also had freshly made Eggs Benedict! Our child loved the colorful glutinous rice – the chicken noodle soup was just so-so.
When our child vomited in the middle of the night, we contacted room service, and they changed the sheets and duvet covers very quickly! At 3 AM, we took our child to the nearby Kunming Children's Hospital, where he was diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis and put on an IV drip. I contacted Bianca to ask if we could have a late checkout. The front desk had initially said 2 PM, but Bianca, considering our little one hadn't slept all night, proactively offered to extend it to 4 PM! This gave us ample time to rest and pack. Being in a different city with a sick child and experiencing such thoughtful service truly made us feel grateful! We will definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt again next time we're in Kunming! Thanks again to Ms. Bianca! 🌹

GGuest UserI rarely write any reviews, but my stay at the Doubletree was extremely worth documenting.
Coming out of a 24 hour long trip, this hotel and its staff Yedda, Daisy, Jack and Mr. Wang immediately made me feel home!
First of all, arranging airport pick up was extremely smooth. Mr. Wang waited for me patiently at a clearly instructed parking place, so there was no confusion.
Next, as soon as I arrive at the hotel, there were staff members helping me with the suitcase and guiding me to check in. Then Yeda and Daisy showed their extreme hospitality by providing an amazing room on a higher floor with a view, helped me charging my phone, providing me with freshly baked welcoming snacks. And Jack walked me through on connecting my phone and laptop to the hotel WIFI. Due to my work schedule, they’ve accommodated me with late checkout. Room is huge and clean with full amenities.. even a scale!
And yes! I ate both of the rice noodle dishes!!
Thank you for going above and beyond taking care of me on this short trip.. I’ll be back and will looking forward to seeing Mr. Wang, Yedda, Daisy, and Jack again soon!

GGuest UserI've stayed at this hotel twice now, and the service, facilities, and even the meditation classes have consistently been excellent. The hotel's ambiance and scent create a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere, and the green views from the windows and the design are incredibly relaxing. All the staff members are exceptionally kind and friendly, always greeting you. I particularly appreciate the hotel's cultural offerings and the thoughtful little details – they've put a lot of care into them. The breakfast is delicious too. Location-wise: across the road is Daguan Park and Yuyuan, perfect for a morning stroll. There are also dedicated cycling and running paths right outside the hotel. It's about a 10-minute taxi ride to Haigeng Dam, and Cuihu Lake isn't too far either. Overall, it offers great value for money; it's healing, quiet, and truly feels like a home away from home.

LLijuan ♪(^∇^*) This is my third visit this year, and I absolutely love this hotel, even though it's only 30 kilometers from my home. My favorite part is the large balcony, which offers a delightful view of the lake and lush green mountains, with high skies and drifting clouds – it's incredibly peaceful. The evenings are very quiet. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and the breakfast at the restaurant is fantastic.

LLisahaveThis is the worst InterContinental I've ever stayed at. I wasn't going to leave a review, but then I saw the hotel sent a message asking for a 4.5-star rating. In good conscience, I have to provide honest feedback so others have a truthful reference when choosing a hotel.
First, the hardware: The room had a musty smell and was very old. Even the sofa wasn't very clean. It felt like staying in a hotel for an old-fashioned government meeting.
Second, even if the hardware is old, good service can often compensate for the shortcomings. After all, a certain level of cultural refinement is one reason to choose InterContinental. However, this stay was a huge disappointment. First, the greeter at the hotel was just for show. A young man came over when we got out of the car in the lobby, but he didn't even help with the luggage. What was he there for? Just to make an appearance? Someone else eventually helped with the bags after check-in.
Third, room assignment: They didn't even ask about guest preferences, but that's fine. Just look at the photos; would you still choose an InterContinental after seeing the room's visual appeal?
Fourth, I chose InterContinental after arriving by high-speed rail at midnight and was checking out early the next morning. For over 1200, wasn't I paying for quality? Otherwise, wouldn't a budget hotel be just as good? I truly regret choosing InterContinental, which was further from the high-speed rail station, over a more convenient hotel in the old town area.
Fifth, the restaurant: Honestly, the breakfast selection was quite good. The problem was the complete lack of service. It was chaotic with many people, and they were clearing tables right next to us while we were still eating, with no clear分区. It was speechless. This is definitely not the quality of a five-star hotel.
Sixth, the hotel's large size is both a pro and a con. Getting to the restaurant required taking two different elevators. It's suitable for relaxed families on vacation but not ideal for business travelers or those on short trips.

GGuest UserAbsolutely loved this room type! The room was spotless, and the staff were incredibly warm and professional. They even gave us little gifts every time we left and returned, which really shows how much care goes into the hotel's service and management. The breakfast was genuinely delicious, and the rooftop offers a nice spot to sit and enjoy a direct view of Cuihu Park. In the evenings, there's complimentary noodles available and discounted cocktails. The hotel's location is superb; you can walk right out to explore Cuihu Park and easily visit attractions like Kunming Old Street. Taxis are readily available right outside the hotel, and there are several great local spots downstairs to grab some rice noodles or other snacks. The combination of location, facilities, and service simply can't be beaten!

TTJ-TimStayed two nights at this Wanda hotel in Kunming and had a pleasant overall experience.
Convenient location: roughly a 10-minute taxi ride from Kunming Railway Station. Adjacent to Wanda Shopping Mall with full dining, shopping and daily amenities; a newly opened large supermarket nearby with abundant goods, which we visited twice.
Booking messages via the travel platform were initially replied to slowly, yet issues got resolved promptly after contacting the front office manager. The subsequent service was excellent. The hotel helped receive our parcels shipped via Taobao, letting us collect items before departing for Singapore. Staff at the executive lounge were warm and informative, with decent complimentary drinks and snacks available.
Rooms are well-equipped, featuring a wet-dry separated bathroom and walk-in closet. Comfortable bedding plus a choice of pillow types further boosted our stay. Would recommend.

GGuest UserMy stay at the Sofitel Kunming with a Dianchi Lake view room was absolutely perfect! The high-floor, panoramic French windows offered stunning views – during the day, I could see Dianchi Lake and the Western Hills in the distance, and in the evening, the sunset painted the lake beautifully. The nighttime city lights were incredibly soothing. The room's French-style soft furnishings were elegant, and the MyBed bedding was so soft and comfortable for sleeping. The bathtub with a view, paired with Lanvin toiletries, created a fantastic atmosphere for a relaxing soak while enjoying the scenery. Young at the front desk provided thoughtful service and handled check-in efficiently. The room was clean and odor-free. The hotel's location is convenient, and it has excellent facilities including a heated swimming pool and a high-altitude restaurant. The French design blended with Yunnan characteristics makes this view room the top choice for a vacation in Kunming. Highly recommended!

WWELLCzThis is a well-established five-star hotel in the area, once famous as Kunming's tallest building. During my holiday travels, I passed through Kunming and was deciding between a hotel in a scenic area and the Grand Park Hotel. Considering the potential noise in the scenic area, I chose the latter, and I'm so glad I made that smart decision.
The front desk staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful. We had a lot of luggage, and we were fortunate enough to get an upgrade to a corner suite, which completely alleviated our concerns about space.
Both the public areas and the rooms are decorated in a simple yet elegant and stylish manner. The materials used are solid, and the maintenance is impeccable, so it doesn't feel old at all. It truly lives up to its five-star rating.
The room offered expansive views, excellent soundproofing, and was spotlessly clean. The bedding was comfortable and soft against the skin, and the hot water supply was quick and abundant. Coming back after a day of sightseeing and enjoying a relaxing bath in the tub was just perfect.
The location is right next to a subway station, with a direct one-stop ride to the high-speed rail. To the north, it's just one transfer to the Wuyi Road scenic area and commercial district, and to the east, one transfer to the airport. Taxis are also very convenient.
The hotel's facilities are comprehensive. My trip was rushed this time, so I didn't have a chance to experience the pool or other amenities. If I get the opportunity to visit Kunming again, I will definitely choose Grand Park Hotel!

GGuest UserThe location is pretty good, close to Plaza 66, about an 8-minute walk. The hotel's concierge service was good; staff were always there to greet us multiple times when we entered and exited. We booked connecting rooms, but they were externally connected, not internally. This made it inconvenient, especially when the kids were asleep, as the sound of swiping the card to enter the room was quite loud. So, it wasn't ideal.
The room was too small; the bathroom and shower were cramped together, and there wasn't enough space to turn around. It felt very restrictive.
Breakfast was just average. Not many varieties, but the quality was decent. The freshly squeezed juice was watered down, and the watermelon juice wasn't good.
Overall, I didn't really feel like there was much service.
