Amazing
AAnonymous UserThis is a high-quality hotel in Sapporo, and I particularly want to praise the breakfast. The food quality was excellent, with a variety of novel local Hokkaido specialties! The breakfast was so filling it could last me through a whole day of outdoor activities.
I'm not sure if it was peak season, but the women's bath was extremely crowded in the evenings, especially with many guests from Hong Kong and Korea with children. It was very lively and bustling! The size of the baths felt quite small relative to the number of guests.
The room facilities were standard but of a good-to-excellent Japanese standard, and very clean. Overall, it was very comfortable.
The service was average. You can only store luggage for one day, which felt a bit restrictive compared to other hotels.
EElisia LohI booked this hotel last minute after cutting short my stay at another hotel in Otaru due to exposed cable wiring under the bed area. Having learnt from that experience, I checked this room carefully upon arrival and was relieved to find everything well maintained. Mitsui Garden did a great job with the room setup, and everything felt clean and safe.
The room is spacious enough for three guests, with good walkway space, a hanging area, and a proper wardrobe. It feels more comfortable compared to other triple rooms I’ve stayed in. The bathroom is also a decent size and not as cramped as what you typically find in many Japanese hotels.
The hotel offers a public bath for both men and women, which is a nice feature to relax in. However, the laundry setup could be improved. There is only one combo washer-dryer machine, and the waiting time is quite long. Even at 3–4 a.m., guests are queuing to use it, and each wash-and-dry cycle takes around two hours. You can monitor the washer status directly from your room TV, which is convenient, but it would be much better if the hotel could add a few more machines. It can be inconvenient when guests miss their pickup time and others have to wait. So, you really needs to plan and be more considerate in using the washer.
Breakfast has a limited selection and leans more towards Western-style dishes, but there is a live chef station serving both sweet and savory crepes, which adds a nice touch to the morning experience.
1110155****The hotel is not far from Sapporo Station, and the lobby is spacious. You can access Sapporo Station directly through an underground passage right outside, which is very convenient on snowy days. The sofa is large enough to sleep on, and the staff are very enthusiastic. The room was neat and clean. The only downside was the lack of complimentary bottled water.
GGuest UserIdeal location for foodies and shoppers! The location offers a safe and convenient environment with eateries, cafes, convenient stores, pharmacies and souvenir shops just a stone’s throw away. The hotel side door connects directly to Block 5 of Tanukikoji Shopping Street. It’s also near enough (within 1.5km) to walk to the Nijo fish market, Odori Park and Sapporo JR station.

TTeckengThe location is excellent, just a stone’s throw from Tanukikoji Shopping Street (狸小路商店街).
The breakfast was great as well.
The only drawback was the parking situation — we had to park two streets away due to limited spaces, and it cost 2,000 yen per day. Fortunately, we found several nearby alternatives at a similar distance for about 800 yen per day.
Overall, it was a satisfying stay.

__WeChat13491****A very satisfying hotel experience!
**Convenient Location**: Within walking distance to the JR station and Sapporo TV Tower. The bus stop for Kiroro Ski Resort is also just a 10-minute walk away.
**Modern Facilities**: Equipped with a steam dryer, microwave, and more, which was very convenient. The overall decor feels very new.
I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit!
::-OjiaomeimeiAfter countless trips to Japan, this hotel stands out as the best, most comfortable, most convenient, and best value for money I've ever experienced. It's my first time staying in such a great value hotel in Japan. The double room is a bit small, but the bed is 1.6 meters wide, which is quite rare in Sapporo. Still, I recommend choosing a twin room as it's much more spacious. It's incredibly close to JR Sapporo, just a 2-minute walk, putting it right in the heart of the core district. This makes transportation, shopping, and dining incredibly convenient. There's also a convenience store nearby. You can store your luggage here, and all the toiletries are DHC.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel’s location is the reason that I booked for my stay in Sapporo. It is opposite the JR Sapporo Station and airport limousine bus stop is right in front of the hotel.
Hotel reception is on the 7th floor and breakfast is on the 1st floor. When taking the elevator to your room, you will need to scan your room card before proceeding. By the way, hotel does provide free coffee and drinks for hotel guests in the lobby.
FYI, there is a Lawson, the convenient store which is near to the hotel building.
EElisia LohThe hotel provides a shuttle bus pick-up from Sapporo Station (Bus Terminal), but reservations can only be made by phone call. Email requests are not accepted. We arrived on a Sunday, and the bus was already fully packed when leaving Sapporo Station, so it is best to book early.
The hotel itself is a little old, though the public area toilets appear to have been recently renovated. The public onsen pools are large and relaxing, but the stone tile flooring can be slippery from long use, so be careful when walking in the bath area.
The buffet has a good spread of dishes. I especially enjoyed the dinner scallop miso soup, handmade sushi, and desserts. The restaurant was lively and fully packed with both local Japanese families and overseas tourists. One minor downside was the seasonal fruit such as lychee. It would be better if the hotel ensured the fruits were properly washed before serving.
Wi-Fi connection in the hotel is strong and stable unlike the big spa hotel in lake Toya which I just stayed a few days ago.
GGuest UserIt is a rather old hotel but has reasonably well upkeep. Cleanliness is top notch.
Location wise, it is around 500m away from Sapporo JR/metro station. While this is walkable, it can be tricky during winter especially with thick snow. The entrance (Exit 22) to the underground walkway to the station is around 50m away from the hotel and is recommended, although it does not have elevator access; Exit 23 has that although it is further down the road. There is a Family Mart convenience store nearby. What i liked most about the hotel is that they have a souvenir store on the ground floor with a good stock of Hokkaido-exclusive souvenirs such as horse oil lotion, cookies and chocolates, to the usual garments and keychains.
Service is rather underwhelming. Due to ESG commitments, only guests who stay in premium rooms (12F to 13F) have a full suite of amenities in their rooms. For others, you need to pick up your own toiletries such as toothbrush and cotton buds near the reception area which can be a chore. The whole experience can also feel disorganised especially when there is a huge crowd. Thankfully, shampoo and shower gel is provided in room. Drinking water however is not provided and it is disappointing that there are no communal water stations on each floor, although some floors have coin-operated vending machines.
Breakfast buffet has a modest selection. During my 5-day stay there, the menu largely stays the same. It has a mix of Japanese and Western fare. Taste-wise it is fine but some more variety would be much appreciated.
Overall, it is a functional hotel for a good night rest but nothing more.
