This guesthouse, perched on a hill, seems to be quite popular with influencers, featuring many Instagrammable photo spots. Both the rooms and the restaurant boast floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sea, with the rooms directly facing the Rainbow Lighthouse. The restaurant's view is also fantastic; having breakfast with that sea view in the morning is incredibly enjoyable. Unfortunately, the weather on our first day was terrible, with strong winds and heavy rain, which completely dampened my enthusiasm for taking photos. I imagine it would be amazing to visit in the summer! The in-room amenities were a bit lacking; perhaps to maintain a stylish look, there weren't many power outlets. However, the service attitude was absolutely superb—they were always ready to help. They even gave plenty of advice to us fishing novices who were enthusiastic but unskilled. I must also mention the free pick-up and drop-off service, which saved us a good amount of money, considering that taxi fares on Shengshan and Gouqi Islands can be quite expensive. The recommended driver was also very nice. I'd definitely come back in the summer just for this level of service!

I booked this homestay on Ctrip, and the overall feeling is really good. The room is clean and comfortable, and the toiletries are no less than those of a five-star hotel. The environment looks inconspicuous from the outside, but it is quite warm inside. The boss gives people a very kind feeling and helps introduce places to visit around. The meals cooked by the boss's mother are fresh and delicious, and worth recommending.

I have always wanted to have a chance to visit Shengsi, the easternmost part of the motherland, to see the sunrise and sunset. I chose Wind Villa because it only takes ten minutes to walk to the East Cliff Cliff to watch the sunrise, and it is very close to the No Man's Village and Xiyang Bay to watch the sunset. In addition, you can watch the sunset and the waves of the sea by sitting in front of the floor-to-ceiling window in the room. As soon as I entered the hotel, I was attracted by the pure white decoration style, which was full of Instagram style. I felt that I would not feel lonely drinking coffee here for an afternoon. I visited Gouqi Shengshan and Sijiao Island many years ago. The natural scenery is beautiful, but the accommodation conditions are average. This time I was pleasantly surprised to find a good resort hotel. After arriving on the island, the design of the hotel is consistent with the photos. It is modern and simple, with a Santorini style. It was a very comfortable stay and the restaurant in the hotel tasted good, so I could enjoy a leisurely vacation without leaving home, watching the sea and eating seafood in the hotel. Will stay here next time.

Every year during the off-season, I spend a few days in Putuo, and I've stayed at several hotels on the island. Xilai Zhizhu Hangshe is definitely one of the best. The location is excellent, the facilities are great, the hygiene is satisfactory, and the service is also very good. Besides the high room rate, there's hardly anything to fault. Especially the Yuanzhi Yuanwei restaurant downstairs – it was a pleasant surprise! I used to avoid 'influencer' spots, but after eating there twice, I was very impressed. No pre-made dishes, fresh ingredients, good flavor, and great value for money. I'll definitely be staying here again every year.
