Amazing
AAnonymous UserThe owner of this hotel is very enthusiastic, especially Every day will cook breakfast ~ mother-in-law, ~ every morning I greeted warmly, once I returned to the hotel the night before, ~ the second morning called me to rest and invited me to eat fruit and bury dessert , especially heartwarming ☺️, It feels like a Japanese home, so I will definitely stay again next time.
AAik Koon WeeChecked in on their official opening day and was treated with some surprises. Overall the hotel was great. Uses self check-in which for foreigners, actually still need some helps. Room is spacious, and amenities are good. multiple AC outlets and USB C charging ports available in the room. Something that is hard to get in most hotels, and its great when you have 2 persons in the room needing to charge all their digital gadgets.
only gripe is toilet partition is wood and when some one poops at night and draws the toilet paper, it makes a booming thunderous noise that can be heard outside the room and wakes up light sleepers 😜
Breakfast is great though a bit pricey. But the settings in dining is comfortable with Japanese books to browse.
NNina loves travelingWe stayed at this hotel from January 17th to 22nd, 2026. It's incredibly convenient, located just a two-minute walk from Exit 12 of Odori Subway Station. The hotel entrance on the ground floor isn't very obvious; it looks more like an office building. You need to take the elevator to the 4th floor for the reception desk.
The rooms were clean, and the bathhouse on the 4th floor was very comfortable – we used it every day. There's also a fitness center, but we definitely preferred relaxing in the bathhouse.
What truly left the deepest impression during our stay was an incident where my son fell while skiing at Teine and injured himself. He didn't feel much pain at the moment of the fall, but the next morning, after coughing, he experienced severe abdominal pain, and we urgently needed to find a hospital. We went to the hotel reception for assistance. Mr. Sato (Hiroiku Sato) was on duty that morning, and he must have sensed our anxiety and worry. He patiently helped us by calling clinics one by one, contacting three different ones. He explained my son's symptoms to the hospitals and asked if they could schedule an appointment for us. Finally, he reached Yagi Orthopedic Hospital, which not only offered Chinese-speaking services but also successfully booked an appointment for us. Mr. Sato was genuinely kind, incredibly patient, and provided exceptional service. We are deeply grateful for his help, which alleviated our worries during the trip and allowed us to complete our journey safely.
Here, we'd like to once again thank all the dedicated staff at San Gran Hotel for their hospitality, and a special thank you to Mr. Sato.

Great
SSol the PineThere are private room options available, with your own wardrobe space, desk, and chair. I chose the top bunk — it takes a bit of effort to climb up, but it’s more budget-friendly.
There are only a few private shower rooms on the third floor. However, the public bath on the 8th floor is very spacious and includes hot and cold plunge pools, as well as a sauna.
The hotel provides indoor wear for guests, but complimentary drinking water is not available.

Great
YYU1. Regarding breakfast, 50% off coffee for staying guests.
2. Regarding cost performance, accommodation in Sapporo is generally expensive, and the price is very reasonable.
3. The location of the hotel is not very good, there is a parking lot.
4. The hotel environment is clean and hygienic, toiletries are provided, and the activity area is also quite large.
Iian duenascon: no free amenities (i knew beforehand, i'm just pointing it out)
pro: the nightly rate is very cheap, especially if you compare it to hostel/hotels in central sapporo during winter festival
con: far from sapporo city center. it takes an hour more or less. also, be ready to add budget for bus rides (550 yen from hostel to sapporo station)
pro: there are restaurants, ramen shops, supermarkets, 100 yen shop which are just 1 bus ride away (max 30 minutes) there is also a skii resort (fu's snow area) nearby.
con: i just wish they install additional heaters in the common area. also, the hot water on the sink stopped running which was inconvenient
pro: i had a comfortable stay. the other guests who stayed at this hostel were quiet. my roommates were japanese, korean and chinese and they were very nice.
in conclusion, i chose this hostel because the price gap between hostels in sapporo city center and this hotel was huge. even with the additional bus fare, it was still much cheaper to stay here.
GGuest UserMagazines on the wall describe the owner as a member of the Antarctic Expedition, who visited Antarctica 53 times. After retiring, he opened this small hotel, hoping to attract more mountaineering enthusiasts to gather and chat about their experiences. The hotel's reception is connected to the bar, and every night, there's a crowd of people drinking, some of them mountaineering enthusiasts. There's also a wide selection of dishes. I took a photo of the first floor of the hotel to share. The room I stayed in was quite interesting, located in another building, so it didn't interfere with my rest. My room was small (I don't know if there are larger rooms, but I think there are some shared rooms, like youth hostel-style bunk beds). There were only two beds, nothing special, but the sheets and towels were spotlessly white and spotlessly clean. There's also a shared kitchen on the first floor near the bar, equipped with a microwave, hot water, and a washing machine. Staying in the hotel and traveling during the day is a good option. A short walk down the street leads to a crossroads filled with restaurants. What's even more interesting is that the waiters are all foreigners. I saw four or five of them, representing at least three nationalities. Two were young beauties, and two were handsome foreigners.

Good
GGuest UserLocation is great. Close to nakajjma koen subway, 3 stops away from sapporo station subway. From airport, if by bus, there is airport bus that requires additional 13 minutes walk from bus stop to hotel. Definitely not recommended for those with heavy luggage with slippery/thick snow, to walk that far. It feels like 1 hour and risk of falling.
Lawson is just at the corner.
Checked in using code given, self service.
Communication F2F was tricky, as using lots of google translate.Messages through tips, take a while for them to reply.
Microwave at lobby and level 2.
Extra amenities can pick up by yourself at lobby (hair brush, towels, razor, cotton buds)
Washing machine at level 2 (5 kg load - 300 yen for 30 min), but dryer not working at all (100 yen for 30 min)
Overall, if you just need place to sleep, not too fancy, this is great place to stay

DDevendra NI had a wonderful experience at this hotel in Sapporo. They kindly allowed me an early check-in, which made my trip so much more comfortable and stress-free.
The interior design is beautiful and modern, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. I especially loved the human-less (self) check-in system — it was smooth, quick, and very convenient.
The highlight of my stay was definitely the amazing jacuzzi bathtub. It was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the city.
Overall, this was one of my best stays in Sapporo. Highly recommended!

SSSLinethegreatComfortable stay with good facilities (better if you have a car)
Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The facilities were good and the place was comfortable. We especially enjoyed the onsen, which was very relaxing after a long day.
One thing to note is the location 🙂it is not very convenient without a car, so I would recommend driving. If you have a car, then everything is fine and easy to get around.
Service was decent overall, and everything went quite smoothly. There is still some room for improvement, but it was a good experience and worth the price.
Would consider staying again.
