Hotels in Yu Garden Area, Shanghai

The stuff so nice! 2of the guy and girl stuffs were so nice! 💞 I asked for help so much, I was so sorry, but they’re so helpful! Tge hotel is located in good location easy to find it! Metro is 5mins walk! A lot of places located near by which is convenient! The room is clean 😍 And everything is just accurate 💓

Was there for 3 nights with my friends. We can’t find a review of this place online especially from Thai tourist but fine, we want to take a risk. It was an absolutely amazing place to stay! Room is new and they offer daily cleaning plus 2 bottles of water every day (mini bar on the first day is free) and one thing that I love is they provide a common area like dining area on floor! Plus, on the ground there are coffee shop, salon, gym, family mart and McDonald. But the thing is it took me only 1 minute to subway Laoximen station (exit 1) which very convenient to travel to the bund, Shanghai disneyland, it’s super convenient traveling by taxi and it take less than 10 mins walk to Xintiandi, my favourite area! We would love to stay here again next time.

The location is excellent, just a short walk to Yu Yuan, and the room itself was comfortable, though some areas of the hotel, especially the front of the hotel entrance, feel a bit dated. Check-in was the main downside. We arrived at 5:30 PM but were told all the rooms weren’t ready, and despite requesting same floor rooms in advance, it took quite awhile to arrange 1 room for us. Even after returning from dinner, 10PM the front desk service felt a bit overwhelmed and inattentive, not sure if this is because of summer school break. Overall, this hotel works for a short stay if you don’t mind some waiting at check-in. For families with kids or those expecting seamless service, it may not be the best fit but for travelers who prioritize location, it’s still worth considering.

It’s a really nice hotel for a quick stay in Shanghai. Close to the Bund and right next to Yu Gardens, radix reachable by subway and within walking distance of major sight. The room itself is basic but well laid out, bed and bedding are of good quality. Just be aware that a lot of rooms don’t have direct Daylight access. But that’s fine as long as you don’t expect to see the skyline Didn’t need to use any services from the hotel besides check in / out. Amenities were bare but that was also expected and is within the expectations

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The place has nice views, it was very clean and well-maintained throughout. A special thanks to Hannie, who went out of her way to help me with my travel plans — her assistance and enthusiasm made a big difference. The service overall was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

The space was spotless, stylish, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Hotel was incredibly responsive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our trip was perfect. The location was ideal, with easy access to attractions and dining. Every detail was meticulously planned, creating a seamless and memorable experience. We can’t wait to return! A very satisfying and pleasant stay at Mercure Yu Garden for 6 nights. The staff here are friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Free drinks, coffee, tea and cookies are provided in the room. The breakfast has many varieties and delicious. Supper is provided. Shuttle bus is provided. Recommended!

Hotel is pretty clean and tidy with free washer and dryer. Opposite the hotel is a train line to travel anywhere as well. I’m please and satisfied to be serve by 南星 and 空青, they attended our queries and needs as well as our tabao parcel that we sent to the hotel lobby. Nothing much fancy, the hotel has all the basic needs you need for vacation and the location is pretty ideal. My only cons from my fiancee is that the room does not have a full length mirror and that the lobby is at level 6 instead of level 1. So while waiting for cab, there isnt any seats where u can sit and wait. Other than that, the hotel is really fine to stay for short trip vacation.

The 2 bedroom apartment was a really good size which fitted us 4 adults well. The place is clean and well maintained. Front desk staff are helpful and pleasant at all times. With the Laoximen Metro station Exit 1 right next to hotel, it gave us really great accessibility to all the places by the metro.

The hotel is good, a bit oldish but to me it’s also better than the latest Asian hotels with shovers above bed and bathtubs outside of the bathroom.  Location is excellent being like 1km+/$2-5 taxi drive to major attractions.  Also across the street is a long street with variety of inexpensive local restaurants and street food. However, as with anything in life, all this paradise comes at expense which is construction going on right in front every day from 8 am to 6 pm. It is so loud that ear plugs won’t save the situation, echo comes even to bathroom. So, it’s a matter of choice - if you’re on visit, don’t stay inside much over the day it’s perfect, don’t look any further. But if you’re out to sleep run away.
