The rooms are great! I've stayed here three times already and signed up for their membership. The location is excellent, with lots of good food options nearby! It's super convenient for getting around, and the BBQ joint next door is absolutely delicious!

The views from the 25th-floor front desk and the 26th-floor breakfast restaurant are absolutely stunning, definitely meeting five-star hotel standards. What impressed me most was the soundproofing in the room; I stayed for two days and didn't hear a single sound from other rooms – it's the best soundproofing I've experienced in any hotel. Cecilia at the front desk was also very friendly and helpful.

First off, for this price, the room size and cleanliness are pretty good. I checked in around 2 AM, super late and tired, just wanted a shower. But there was no hot water. I let it run for a long time, then called the front desk. They said to insert the room card to turn on the power, and hot water would be available in about 20 minutes. So I waited, but still no hot water. Then I realized I also had to turn on a switch myself, which is fine. But when I called the front desk, they just told me to wait after inserting the card. I finally saw the switch and turned it on, then waited another 40+ minutes. They said it would reach 60 degrees, but after an hour, it still hadn't even hit 40. Seriously annoying, couldn't even take a shower because there was no hot water.

It was a wonderful experience staying at Yunrui Hotel! The hotel is located along a street beautifully lined with trees illuminated by warm yellow lights at night, creating such a festive and cozy atmosphere. There are also many local food stalls and restaurants nearby, and surprisingly, they all tasted amazing despite being very affordable. I especially loved the noodle shop just a 2-minute walk from the hotel, definitely one of the highlights of my stay. I would absolutely stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai!

I had a really pleasant stay at this Atour Hotel. Overall, the service was very good and comparable to some larger hotel brands. While a small number of staff didn’t feel entirely genuine, most of the team were friendly and helpful, especially the front desk.
The room was spacious and comfortable, though the lighting was slightly on the dim side for my preference.
One highlight was the cute robot that delivers items to your room — a nice and fun touch. I also really appreciated the 24-hour laundry service, which was very convenient.
Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

This is my second time staying at this hotel.
**Facilities:** The entire hotel has a retro Art Deco American style. However, getting takeout is inconvenient as there's no robot delivery; you have to go down to pick it up yourself.
**Hygiene:** The hygiene is good, but they start cleaning very early every morning. The soundproofing in the rooms is quite poor. One morning, I had the 'do not disturb' sign on and went down to grab takeout, and the cleaning staff kept hounding me about when they could clean my room. It felt a bit intrusive.
**Environment:** It's right next to Zhongshan Park, and the park-facing view is lovely. The location is excellent, making it quick to get to Hongqiao, Jing'an, and other central areas.
**Service:** As mentioned above, the service from the housekeeping department needs improvement. Also, why are young women assigned to concierge duties? I saw them struggling with luggage, which seems like a management issue. Shouldn't men handle such heavy tasks?

This was just a temporary stopover, but my experience exceeded expectations! I'd like to specifically mention the front desk attendant, Jingjing; she has a fantastic personality, communication was a breeze, and check-out was super quick. The hotel itself is quiet and clean. Overall, it's a huge plus!

I needed to see a live house in Changning District, so I picked a hotel nearby. It's technically a hostel, but they also have private double rooms. I booked a city-view double room and now I really want to share my honest experience.
First, the location: it's only a few hundred meters from Jiangsu Road Metro Station, which is super convenient. With lines 2 and 11, you can get directly to Jing'an Temple, Nanjing East Road, Disneyland, and Pudong Airport. It's also very close to Yuyuan Road, and despite being on a main street, it's surprisingly quiet.
Next, the room type: if you don't want a dorm bed, they have comfortable private singles or these double rooms. My room had excellent natural light with large windows offering direct city street views. The bed quality was great, not too soft, not too hard – after a day of exploring, I just flopped onto it and fell asleep. The private bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, 24-hour hot water was consistent, and the AC was strong, keeping the room cool and never stuffy. Even though the room wasn't huge, it was very functional – small but perfectly formed!
The decor was very atmospheric and clean. Downstairs, they have a coffee shop, a bar, a Suzhou-style noodle restaurant, and a self-service drink machine. The 24-hour front desk staff were gentle and patient, whether I was storing luggage or asking for directions 🥰. There's a dedicated shelf for food deliveries, which is great because they don't come upstairs, enhancing guest safety. In the morning, it's convenient to grab a bowl of noodles or a drink without going far.
The common areas also have a projector, board games, and small private spaces. Recently, they've been showing the World Cup in the lobby, so in the evenings, you can have a drink and chat with travelers from all over. If you're with friends, staying in a dorm room and playing board games, eating good food, and having a blast sounds incredibly fun!
Next time I come alone, I'll definitely try a twin room!

This hotel offers incredible value for money and an outstanding customer experience! I arrived quite late, and the front desk staff warmly greeted me, asking if I was tired. They even upgraded my room! The room was huge, comfortable, and spotless. From the moment I arrived, I felt such a welcoming atmosphere. I ended up staying for three nights without hesitation. This will definitely be my top choice next time I'm in Shanghai.

My overall stay was super satisfying! The room had great natural light, and the soundproofing was excellent, so it wasn't noisy at all. The bathroom was clean with a wet/dry separation, and all the amenities were well-stocked. The staff were very kind and gentle, and any requests were handled immediately. The environment was quiet and perfect for resting. Definitely worth coming back to!

GGuest UserHad the most ridiculous incident here that soured my entire experience. The room was great. Location is further from metro than you think, but since it's near many malls it's still pretty convenient. But this one incident completely ruined my impression of this hotel. Due to whatever miscommunication or terrible protocols they have, they completely wasted my food delivery order.
I had ordered food and drinks for lunch, and the usual thing is they'll get a robot to deliver it up to your room. My food arrived fine. My drink however, was taking much longer than usual. An hour after I already confirmed the drink had arrived at the hotel (delivery rider sent me a confirmation picture) I called the front desk to ask. They assured me they saw my order (with my room number on it) in the waiting queue and that it would be up shortly. I waited another 1.5 hrs. Nothing. At this point I had already given up. I gave them a pass, thinking someone probably made a mistake. No big deal. The same day, at night, I ordered drinks again. Same thing. The delivery rider had already confirmed the drinks had reached the hotel. But even after waiting for 1 hr, nothing. At this point my patience had expired and I went down to find out what was going on. Interestingly, both delivery robots were sitting in the lobby. Unused. And I noticed there were 2 separate drink orders with my room number.
Someone who seemed like the manager approached me. He told me I had two orders. Unbelievably, one of them was the afternoon drink order that never reached my room. He claimed it was never sent up because I did not answer the front desk's phone call. I was flabbergasted. Sure, I may have missed a phone call as I was bathing in the morning, but isn't it common courtesy to call until you reach me? Or if the service is as amazing as some of the reviews claim, they could've sent it up to my room? Not withstanding the fact that I had called the front desk that morning to check where my order was! Regardless, that wasn't the most ridiculous part. My current drink order was just sitting there, no action was being taken to ensure it was sent up to my room. The exact same issue was repeating, and no one gave a rat's ass about it. If I hadn't come down to find out what was going on, the drinks would've been wasted again. And yes, I say wasted, because I bought milk tea, so past a certain time it's not safe to drink it anymore. The order is printed clear as day on the outside of the delivery bag. Any staff member who cared enough about their guest's food order or just about not wasting food would've made more effort to contact me. But no. They repeated the same mistake, twice, on the same day. This lack of detail and common sense is really disappointing for a hotel that I was initially wowed by in terms of the room and amenities. I would've been fine to come down and collect my food orders myself, and I've done so at plenty of other hotels that didn't have the robot delivery, but I trusted this hotel to deliver and even gave them a pass the first time based on belief that it could've been a genuine mistake. But to make such a mistake again, and the gall of the manager to imply it was my fault for somehow not picking up their call, is just rude and inexcusable.

GGuest UserI'm reviewing after staying two separate nights, not consecutively. I chose the Galleria Suite without breakfast. The room was spacious enough with a small living area, plenty of space for a family of three. The decor was modern and urban, and there was a safe. The shower had good water pressure.
The location is decent. It's far from Pudong Airport, but it's just around the corner from Exit 8 of Metro Line 2. Zhongshan Park is right across the street, perfect for an early morning walk, and Yu Garden Road is also opposite the hotel. The pastries from Red Star Milk Company downstairs were excellent.
However, I'm not sure if the air conditioning is central, but regulating the temperature seemed unreliable. I'd wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat and hot. The Wi-Fi was too slow; I couldn't even open Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media app) and had to use my own mobile data. The faucet in the sink was poorly installed, causing water to flow onto the floor. My first stay was in room 1513, which had a rain shower, but my second stay in room 1113 did not.
I reported these issues when I checked out the first time, but the room temperature problem persisted. I didn't even bother trying the Wi-Fi again and just used my own data.
Overall, my stay at the hotel was satisfactory, but I would probably choose a different, similar hotel next time. Thank you.

TThiagoCAAffordable hotel in Putuo district, Shanghai. Good for solo travellers or a short stay. The facilities are a bit old, but very clean, you get what you pay for. The staff was friendly and even lent me an umbrella to go out for dinner when it was raining. The room was ok, the bed was comfortable and the shower was really good, the only thing was the shower stall was missing one part so the toilet became a pool after I took a shower 😅
Everything else was alright. If you want to save money for one night, it's an ok place.

CCure TripUpon entering, the first thing I noticed was that the hallways didn't have air conditioning, even though it was still quite stuffy in the evening. The hotel uses a lot of carpeting and other fabric materials in the hallway decor. While this can help dampen noise, in hot, humid, and unventilated conditions, it easily leads to odors and mold. At the very least, during the rainy season, the dehumidifying AC in the hallways should be kept on.
Inside the room, some facilities were new, such as the TV, table and chairs, and electric kettle. However, it was clear that other facilities, like the air conditioning, were quite old. The AC, in particular, had an unbearable damp and moldy smell. I could only turn it on for a short period before having to switch it off. For guests sensitive to smells or with respiratory issues and allergies, this would likely be unacceptable. The bathroom also had a slight moldy smell and some drain odor. The exhaust fan was constantly on and couldn't be controlled by a switch, which I suppose is understandable given it's on the second floor.
The room's soundproofing was much better than the S-shaped bunk bed dorms, but the gap under the door was quite wide, so sounds from the hallway were clearly audible.
Additionally, public facilities like washing machines and dryers were not very comprehensive.
The hotel's advantages are its convenient location, not far from the subway (about a ten-minute walk), and easy access to buses. Most importantly, it offers excellent value for money and is in a good area, not far from Wukang Road and Jiaotong University. There are also Lawson, FamilyMart, and Domino's nearby. If you're looking for a private room with an en-suite bathroom while staying within budget, this is a suitable option. Yijian Senlin (One Forest) has been a long-standing youth hostel in Shanghai. I've always thought highly of it over the past seven or eight years. This was my first time staying in one of their private rooms with an en-suite, and I really hope Yijian Senlin continues to improve.

GGuest UserThe facilities are a bit old, and it's a bit far from attractions like the Bund and Yu Garden, though public transport is quite convenient, with the subway station about 200 meters away. I forgot my headphones when checking out, and the front desk called me to offer to mail them.

GGuest UserThe room is a bit small, the old one is understandable, but the bathroom smells so bad. I asked the front desk boss to solve it. There was a pit on the floor and the end of the bed collapsed. I lived in 309. The second floor is the bathroom. , Dissatisfied overall

GGuest UserIn Shanghai, a city where every inch of land is precious, it's quite surprising to find a hostel for just over 100 RMB. While there are no windows, they've ingeniously drilled two holes for ventilation. I appreciate the disposable cups – honestly, I wouldn't even trust the ones in luxury hotels. The young woman at the front desk was very friendly and approachable. I'd recommend this place for anyone on a tight budget who just needs a comfortable place to sleep for the night.

There is a convenience store and shopping mall downstairs. Zhongshan Park is a 5-minute walk away. The boss is very enthusiastic. I will definitely come again next time
