BBuzhidao, haonanqumingOverall, the facilities and services were quite good and worth the price. However, the room was a bit small, which made me feel quite uncomfortable (´•ω•̥`).
【Facilities】
1. The room had air conditioning, a toilet, a shower, toilet paper, and a hairdryer. The toilet flushing was very quiet, and there was no odor in the bathroom. There was some yellow limescale in the corner of the shower area. The shower water pressure was high; I scalded myself at first because I didn't adjust the temperature properly. The hairdryer had a strong airflow and provided hot air very quickly.
2. There were separate washing machines for men and women. There was a water dispenser, a refrigerator, and a kitchen. The water dispenser had paper cups for drinking. There were shared slippers, but I'm a bit of a germaphobe and didn't wear them o(´^`)o
3. There was a shared clothes-drying area in the hallway. Although there was no direct sunlight, the clothes dried in just one day (I was a bit shocked).
4. The room was a bit cramped, with a wooden cabinet and a combination lock. The room door was opened with a room card. The bed is the kind of small box bed, with a power outlet, a light, a small hook, and a small railing. The light is partially blocked by wood, so it's not too bright. There's also a table that can be folded down on the bed. The blankets and pillowcases are changed for each person.
5. There are tables and power strips in the lobby; many people eat, play games, and chat there.
【Service】
Unbelievably good, evidence as follows:
1. On the first day, I noticed the power outlet on my bed was loose. I asked about it, and they came in and fixed it for me the next second.
2. I accidentally lost my room card. I paid 10 yuan in compensation, and they didn't say anything. They immediately helped me get a new card (sorry, I didn't lose it on purpose).
3. Some people in the six-person room stayed up very late, so I moved to a four-person room. The staff patiently showed me several rooms, analyzed their pros and cons, and let me choose one I liked.
【Transportation and Location】
Pretty good.
1. Very close to Metro Line 9 and bus stops. There are also shared bike parking spots nearby, and parking spaces for motorcycles downstairs.
2. There are many restaurants and vegetable vendors nearby. If you're like me and don't like sitting on a toilet, there's a public restroom about 500 meters away with squat toilets.
3. It's very close to the Tech Oasis and also very close to ByteDance, a temporary place for office workers (^^*)
However, I prefer a bigger room. Due to work, I'll be staying in Shanghai for a while, and considering price and sleep, I still think renting is better (I was lucky enough to rent a big room with a balcony! It's near the hostel, and the price is about the same, hahaha!).
Pictures are below. I only took pictures of the inside of the room; I'm too embarrassed to take pictures of the outside because I'm socially awkward (´•ω•̥`):
Picture 1: Inside of the bed
Pictures 2 & 3: Toilet
Picture 4: Bed sheets and curtains; the focus is definitely not on my plush dog
