Hotel decor is a bit dated (see pictures, but it is very clean with first-class guest service. Morning breakfast buffet is decent. Location wise, Line 14 is closest, but Line 6 is also within walking distance (approx 10 minutes).
Getting to the hotel from Pudong International Airport via train is quite straightforward. Take Line 2 and change to Line 6. The entire journey takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.
There is a Lawson right next to the hotel if you need snacks or drinks quickly. Hotel provides free WiFi. The hotel provides free laundry service, you can pack a lighter luggage. Just call the front desk in the morning and a hotel service staff will come pick up your clothes for laundering and return it back to you in the evening. Now this is what I call first-class service!
Overall, the hotel scores very highly in terms of overall value for money. I will strongly consider staying here again when I come to Shanghai, and I hope you will too.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to the riverside promenade. Running along the promenade to Yangpu Bridge and back is exactly 5 kilometers, offering superb river views, perfect for morning or evening jogs. Downstairs, you'll find a Manner coffee shop, a FamilyMart convenience store, and a Pagoda fruit store. It's about a ten-minute taxi ride to the Pudong Art Museum or the Bund sightseeing promenade across the river. You don't even need to leave the hotel; the Pudong Avenue station for Metro Lines 4 and 14 is directly accessible from the basement. It's only about twenty minutes by subway to North Bund, where the scenery is truly breathtaking.
I visit Shanghai frequently and have always loved this city. This was my first time staying at this hotel; it's a typical established four-star property. The staff were polite and courteous, never overly effusive but always ready to assist, and they responded to any issues very promptly. My elderly parents are keen photographers, and the hotel provided us with an excellent river-view room. Considering the price, I genuinely feel it offers exceptional value for money. Our entire family, from the youngest to the oldest, absolutely loved this hotel, and we will definitely be returning for a second stay.
Very clean. Right next to them is a big nice shopping mall. Alibaba supermarket is also there. Nice comfortable stay.
Nice amount of hot water for shower.
The only thing is i was able to smell someone smoked in the isle. Perhaps smoked in the room and left door open…
All staff are really nice, and subway station was close by.
If taking taxi to Disney, is only 3min.

Convenient hotel location. There is a subway nearby that goes directly to the airport. You can save on transfers. The rooms in one tower are a bit outdated, while the other has new renovations. The difference is not very significant. Very good breakfast. There is a swimming pool with a depth of 1.2 meters. A swimming cap is mandatory. I was satisfied with everything except the concierge service: some packages from Taobao were accepted by the hotel representative but never reached my room. A week-long investigation into ”where are my goods” led to nothing. If you don't plan to order a lot during your trip, you can't find a better option in this area. I decided for myself that next time I will stay with competitors. It's still important for me that delivered and accepted by the hotel orders don't go missing.

Why just tick off the 'Three Towers' when you can stay right inside one?
The hotel lobby is on the 56th floor of the Jin Mao Tower. You take an elevator up to transfer and check in, and then the guest rooms are located even higher. The hotel's biggest strengths are its location and views. You get direct vistas of the Oriental Pearl Tower and almost the entire panoramic Bund skyline, truly living up to the definition of a high-rise hotel. It offers a more distinctive experience compared to the Grand Hyatt Xi'an and Grand Hyatt Changsha.
Although the rooms have some age, they don't feel dated. We were upgraded to a river-view room, which was quite satisfying as it offered direct views of the Oriental Pearl Tower – a real 'Pearl Room'! It's excellent for photography and definitely worth a visit.
The hotel boasts a full range of facilities, including a pool, spa, sauna, gym, and executive lounge – everything you'd expect. The executive lounge also provides dinner, and Grand Club guests can enjoy early check-in. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied; we spent over an hour enjoying it. If you have the chance, make sure to experience the public facilities – it makes the trip truly worthwhile.
However, inter-departmental communication within the hotel needs strengthening. The day before, I received incorrect information when asking about the bar's operating hours. The next day, I was told slippers were allowed in the breakfast restaurant, only to find out they weren't. While each department's service attitude and facilities are excellent, their coordination and communication always feel a bit lacking. Guests shouldn't have to double-check information they've already inquired about.
Despite this, the overall service attitude remains good. After I raised my concerns, a dedicated staff member promptly addressed the issues and even offered a small gift. I've been a loyal Grand Hyatt guest since university, and this minor hiccup won't diminish my perception of the brand. I hope they can resolve these issues and continue to improve.

Stayed at IFC Shanghai in Pudong and was thoroughly impressed. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Lujiazui with direct access to luxury shopping, dining, and metro lines. My room was spacious, modern, and offered stunning skyline views. Service was professional and everything felt clean and well-maintained. A perfect choice for travelers who value convenience and comfort in Shanghai.

The hotel locates in the center and close to most of the tourist spots. I booked a room with a paranomic view of Shanghai city, which I hightly recommend everyone to try. Moreover, morning buffet was served at level 50, providing a revolving experience with 360 degree view of Shanghai city. Andy Chu is in charge of the restaurant and he was very attentive to customer. My overall experience in Novotel Shanghai Atlantis was awsome.

This is an established four-star hotel, and its location perfectly suited my itinerary, so I decided to stay for several nights.
The room service on the 11th floor was exceptionally professional, including turndown service and neatly folded bathrobes. While the facilities felt a bit dated, the professional service really stood out – something I always appreciate in a 4-star hotel or higher during my business trips. They even provided extra bottles of water when they noticed we had a child. Huge kudos to the staff on the 11th floor!
Bed: The 1.8-meter bed had a perfectly firm yet soft mattress, ensuring a very comfortable sleep.
Restaurant: The sunken restaurant, Q, had a distinct Southeast Asian ambiance.
Value for money: Excellent. For a chain hotel, the pricing was unbeatable, and the superb location made it incredibly convenient to get around.
Front desk service: The front desk service was also very professional, quick, and efficient – truly commendable.
They also had several robots delivering food, and the elevators required key card access, which provided a full sense of security.

The hotel is very well located, very close to the metro station, with several dining options in the vicinity, which is very convenient. The staff is very friendly.
The facilities are fine, the room is very nice, very spacious, clean, and has good amenities. In addition, I was able to use the washing machines and gym for free without any problems. Breakfast is a buffet, varied, and has several options for Westerners as well.
Personally, what I didn't like is that all the time, when I left my room, I saw all the garbage and clutter from when they cleaned other rooms, which wasn't very nice. I show it in the photos. Also, the coffee and tea offered in the room were all expired. I noticed after trying one, and it tasted very bad.
In short, the hotel is fine for the price you pay; it would simply be better if those details were corrected.

Overall I was satisfied with the room and the hotel in general. Even though the staff doesn't speak English very well, we managed to communicate ok.
I stayed in a room on the 2nd floor. The room was ok overall, big size and clean, although the window was very small and did not reflect the picture of the room showed at the time of booking. Unfortunately there was a very very bad smell in the room, like sewer smell coming mainly from the toilet, but it was in the whole room. I let the air circulate and it got much better, but the smell was still strong in the toilet. The smell was disgusting, maintenance staff should definitely do something about it.
I would have appreciated having tea spoons provided in the room (regular metal cutlery, not the single use stuff please, it's a 4 stars hotel).
Theres not much in the area, if you want to go out by foot for dinner it's not so easy to find restaurants and facilities.
In the hotel there is a mini market though, very convenient and there is also a decent gym, nothing crazy but it's 24 hours, and has couple machines and weights so not bad.

YYangjunhanThe room was a bit small but well-equipped, though it felt a little dusty. Its location is very convenient, just one traffic light away from the subway station, with plenty of local eateries nearby. Breakfast is delivered directly to your room since there's no on-site restaurant. A washing machine was available, but we didn't end up using it. The service was excellent, and coffee and other beverages are also available in the lobby.

GGuest UserExcellent location, very close to the city center and convenient for shopping, offering great value for money. The front desk staff were patient and efficient in resolving any issues. Being right next to a subway station exit makes getting around incredibly easy; The Bund is just a 30-minute subway ride away, and Disneyland is about an hour.

LLucyDisappointing Arrival, Redeemed by Excellent Service !
Our stay began with several issues, the room was not ready at the designated check-in time, the receptionist was notably unfriendly, and the room itself was not properly cleaned with hair from previous guests and even a child’s toothbrush left behind.
We brought these concerns to the attention of the front desk manager, who was courteous, understanding, and highly professional. She kindly offered us a complimentary room upgrade with a stunning view.
Thanks to her intervention, our experience significantly improved, and we were able to enjoy the remainder of our stay. We truly appreciate the manager’s effort in turning an initially negative situation into a positive one and gave us a lovely stay.

GGuest UserI booked online. After checking in and settling into the room, I was pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness. The view from the window was lovely, with green trees and Shanghai's classic red-brick houses in the background. While enjoying the AC and watching TV, I'd often glance up to see the trees swaying gently in the breeze, which brought a profound sense of peace and tranquility. Because the hotel is nestled within a residential compound, it was incredibly quiet at night, ensuring a truly restful sleep. I woke up feeling completely refreshed in the morning. Absolutely fantastic!

GGuest UserThe service at this hotel truly deserves special praise! From the moment I walked in, I felt a warm welcome. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and check-in was super quick. Throughout my stay, whenever I had a small request and called guest services, their response was incredibly prompt, and they resolved everything perfectly. Even the cleaning staff were very meticulous, proactively asking if I needed anything replaced or refreshed. This feeling of being valued was simply wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel!

GGuest UserThe hotel is very good; the location, the price, and the best part is the service. The front desk staff provided excellent assistance even though there were communication issues. They tried to use a language translation program to help. That's what impressed me the most. I will come back for the service and recommend it to my friends who come to visit or work here. P.S. The restaurant next to the hotel sells tube noodles; they're very delicious, I miss them already.

GGuest UserThe hotel was quite easy to find, thanks to a large sign at the entrance. Given the warm weather these days, the front desk thoughtfully offered refreshing lemon tea. The minimalist decor felt very comfortable. Our room was spacious and bright. It was also very convenient to get around, with the subway station just a short walk away, and there were plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it.

AAnonymous UserThe room is small, but fine for a one-night stay. There are sometimes odors in the room, like toilet or cooking fumes. The soundproofing is definitely poor, depending on who lives next door. Since it's located near a side street, residential area, and park, I didn't hear any noise.
