Lemon Hotel

The location is unbeatable! Coming from Shanghai South, it's just 5 stops on Metro Line 1, super convenient. The surrounding area is perfect for a Citywalk, with all sorts of creative boutiques, coffee shops, and great restaurants. In summer, the tree-lined streets provide shade, so it's not too hot for an evening stroll. Aside from the shared bathroom being a bit more inconvenient than a standard hotel, and the room being a little small, everything else was fantastic. Especially in summer, with the air conditioning on, even without a window, the room didn't feel stuffy at all.

The transportation is very convenient. It only takes about 20 minutes to get here for the show, and there are many great places to explore nearby.

Getting around is super convenient; the subway station is just a two-minute walk across the road. The dorms are separated by gender, and the communal bathrooms are constantly being cleaned by an auntie. The showers even have a small dry area, which is really handy for putting your clothes. The room isn't huge but it's perfectly adequate. The soundproofing isn't the best, so if you're a light sleeper, you might want to bring earplugs, especially if your room is in the middle of the corridor. They even gave out cute little zongzi (rice dumpling) keychains for the Dragon Boat Festival! I'd definitely stay here again!

It's rare to find a hostel that provides two pillows! One of them was a rubber pillow, which was incredibly comfortable! The complimentary toiletries given at check-in were of high quality! The toothpaste tube was large enough to use for a long time even after taking it home. 😺 The disposable face towels and bath towels were also very good quality. The bathroom also had a separate wet and dry area, which I loved! I'll definitely come back next time. ♥️

Even though our room was next to the bathroom, it wasn't noisy at all. The bathroom was very spacious with several separate stalls, and the toilet was super clean, the cleaning staff kept it immaculate! While the room didn't have a window, it didn't bother us much. Getting in and out of the top bunk wasn't difficult either. Overall, we had a fantastic experience.

The room was great, the bedding was super comfortable, and the location was excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere. The price was also very reasonable. The room felt new and was very clean. Overall, it was a great stay!

I'd wanted to try out this hostel ever since I visited Shanghai the year before last. Finally got a chance to stay this year. Feels like the price went up a bit. The room is small but has everything you need. No complaints about the single room; it actually felt safer than staying in a hotel single. Apparently, the hairdryer in the bathroom can't be used after 11 PM, which makes sense since it's really loud and would disturb others. Also, the cleaning lady is very responsible. I'd definitely consider staying here again for future business trips.
