"Traveling to Chengde, I discovered this hotel right next to the Summer Resort. More accurately, it's actually part of the Summer Resort itself, so it's just a few steps walk to the main entrance. You can also take a short bus ride to the Puning Temple (Little Potala Palace) and the Panchen Lama's Residence, which is super convenient! The Qiwang Building Hotel itself has really beautiful and exquisite scenery inside, you could even do a travel photoshoot there, haha. In short, it's really pleasant to stroll around after dinner. And they even have deer and peacocks! What a delightful surprise! The room was spacious, bright, comfortable, and clean. If I come to Chengde again, I'd definitely choose Qiwang Building again!"

"I stayed at the Puning Hotel for two nights and three days, and it was an amazing value. The hotel has a traditional Chinese garden style, making you feel like you've stepped into a secluded paradise. On the rooftop, I enjoyed coffee, a gentle breeze, mountain views, and the sight of the Chan Temple – a perfect blend of classical and modern. Traveling solo, I visited museums, paid respects at the Chan Temple, explored the local market, and even fed the hotel's pet deer. It was a beautiful way to enjoy some leisure time away from my busy work life. The front desk, room service, and dining staff were all excellent, and the owner was very kind. "The breakfast was plentiful, varied, and delicious. The room was clean and comfortable, with good amenities. The environment was quiet and cozy, and the service was warm and welcoming. Overall, a good experience. I'd suggest improving the view outside the window; it could be better. The restaurant service, however, was excellent."

"This is probably a more traditional local hotel, and it offers really great value for money. I had only booked it for the first night of my trip, but on the day I checked in, I immediately extended my stay for two more nights before my return journey, right at the front desk with the lovely young lady on duty. The front desk staff are genuinely warm and kind. We traveled from Chengde to Ulan Butong, and then came back to stay here for another two days. Highly, highly recommended. The standard room has two 1.5-meter beds. Facilities: Pretty good! Cleanliness: Clean and tidy Ambiance: Very comfortable Service: Everyone I encountered was excellent"

"Brilliant location for visiting the Chengde Mountain Resort. The hotel is located just on the other side of the wall of the park and is at a quiet corner 200m from the entrance. Very convenient for an early start to avoid the crowds. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff at hotel. Room is good size and spotlessly clean. Many good local eateries within a short walking distance for excellent food at very reasonable prices"

"The hotel's硬件 facilities are genuinely impressive. The lobby is opulent and incredibly luxurious, and the rooms are well-equipped. However, the soft services are truly disappointing. From check-in at the front desk to breakfast, the service attitude wasn't even polite. My family of three arrived for breakfast just 5 minutes before closing, and the front desk insisted we pay immediately before entering. Couldn't they just charge it to the room card, or let us sit down and pay a little later? Also, they strictly ration Nongfu Spring water in the rooms, providing only two bottles per day. If you want more, you get a different brand of bottled water. Is this really the service for a 1.5k room? I had already chosen to extend my stay in the same room at 11 PM on the day of check-in, yet no one contacted me about renewing the room card until 6:27 PM the next day. Good service should be seamless and unobtrusive, but every little thing here made us uncomfortable. I hope the experience improves if I have a chance to visit again."
