When traveling to a strange city for parents and children, I especially like to choose a homestay, because there is a taste of home, and the body and mind are fully relaxed. The homestay I chose this time is close to the Mountain Resort. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the main entrance of the villa, and there is a cinema for 5 minutes. The surrounding food is very rich.
The interior of the homestay is hygienic and warm, and everything is blended with details, such as hair dryers, toiletries, bathroom facilities, etc. The boss also introduced Chengde tourist attractions and Manchu style, shared the travel experience, and had a feeling of old friends who knew each other late. This experience is very happy! Thank you for your care and look forward to seeing you again next time!

GGuest UserWe had an absolutely perfect stay at Muping Chaoxing Farmhouse! The host and his family are the kindest people, they helped us choose our hiking routes on the Wall, gave us great tips, and even organized our trip back to Beijing Airport. The host speaks English really, which made it easy to get around the village and organize everything.
We had dinner at the restaurant across the street run by his brother, who cooked us delicious food. Because of my gluten allergy, he kindly prepared gluten-free meals for me and was very helpful in making sure I could enjoy the food without any problems.
The guesthouse is about a 20-minute walk from the Wall entrance, but you can also take a shuttle bus if you prefer. Our room was very modern and extremely clean. We felt completely comfortable.
We’d definitely stay here again and want to thank the owner and his family for the great time and their amazing hospitality!

1. There are various sightseeing cars, carriages, camel riding, horse riding, and lakeside trains available in the Colorful Forest Scenic Area. If you are tired, take a car, and if you are not tired, hike. If you are hiking, the wooden plank road is also gentle, with basically no steep slopes, which is suitable for traveling with the elderly and children.
2. The scenic area costs 7 yuan for grilled sausages, 10 yuan for ice cream (a large cup), and 15 yuan for carrots for feeding deer (a large bag), which are friendly prices.
3. The scenic area is picturesque, and it is very filmy to take photos and check in. There are also various performances, which are very beautiful.
4. The service at the Squirrel Inn is very good. We arrived late and did not check in in time. At 7:30 in the evening, the front desk called to remind us that the bonfire party would start soon.
5. The bonfire party was so high, and there was a fireworks show. The scenic area was attentive.
Disadvantages: Can a shelf be added to the bathroom and washroom? It is too inconvenient.
Except for the bathroom, other aspects are perfect, a perfect parent-child trip. Come again next time.

LLiliiieThe place is very closed to the main entrance of the Great Wall. They will propose you to drive you there for 20¥ but honestly you can just walk there easily. The personnel can give you some advices for your walk and show you what you can do on a map. The food is good, there is fresh beer and cold water.

VVan DammeWhat stands out at the Farmhouse is the staff and their willingness and commitment to helping each visitor. The rooms may be a bit sparse, but the location and the people more than make up for it. From driving you to where you need to be, to making sure your stay is as functional and comfortable possible, the owners and their staff know how to get things done.
If you need a stay in this neighbourhood (and if you want to walk a lot this is a good idea) - stay here!

KKeaidetuzhihe0276The hygiene is average. As soon as I entered the room, I was touched by spider silk on my face. The hardware facilities are average and the room is relatively small, especially the bathroom. It doesn't look very clean, and the mirror is made of two pieces, but the shampoo is still ok. The service was very warm and welcoming. The service staff called us several times to tell us how to get there before we even arrived. They also picked us up at the bus stop at the entrance of the hotel, which is easily identifiable, and helped us carry our luggage inside. The environment in the hotel courtyard is quite good, but the room, especially the bathroom, cannot be complimented. Another reminder is that the tatami mattress is very heavy, so I felt like I had to spread it myself. Because I injured my finger, I asked the waiter to help spread it, but the waiter still came to help spread it.

FFletcher LiveranceIt was a bit hard to find as an international traveller, you have to go all the way to the entrance of the park (past the jianshanling hotel) and the very last right a few hundred feet before the ticket booth and checkpoint, you go right, and it is a few houses down.
The hosts, room, and food were all wonderful and accommodating, the most delicious we have had in china so far!

AAnonymous UserI didn't want to see a crowded place during the National Day holiday, so I chose the vast grassland. The owner of Xitan Town is very enthusiastic. If conditions permit, he will take the initiative to help upgrade the room. The room is very clean and beautifully decorated. It is a very good homestay. Xitan Town has a good location and is convenient to the surrounding attractions. It is only a few minutes' drive from Ma Town. It is very suitable for taking children to play. Next time, I plan to make an appointment for an adventure in the uninhabited area. Looking forward to it~

GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy. I took a break one day and didn't go out, so it was quiet all day long. The family members all agreed that they had a good rest at night and the quality of their sleep was very high.
The boss's own restaurant serves delicious meals three times a day, with large portions, fresh food, and good quality at low prices. The big steamed buns are delicious, and there are also fried eggs, fried mushrooms, tofu soup, pimple soup... The lady boss grows green onions and cucumbers herself, and every dish is delicious.
The proprietress is beautiful and enthusiastic. We have elderly people and children. The proprietress takes good care of both the children and the elderly. The boss heard that we wanted to climb the Great Wall to watch the sunrise, so he drove us to the ticket office at 4 a.m. for both days of our stay. Thank you.
This trip to the Jinshanling Great Wall was very enjoyable, and I highly recommend Cuijia Xiaoyuan.
Forget taking photos at the B&B, post some beautiful views of the Great Wall!

SSwee OngFriendly family run place, and both father and son was very happy to assist in anything, especially advice on how to tackle the great wall visit. If you are into photography, even better as they will provide all the best advice, including getting a double-entry ticket so that you can go for sunrise and sunset shoot. The place is literally just outside the gate!!
