The hotel offers a peaceful retreat despite its central location. The front desk service was excellent, and the room was very clean. Breakfast was also good. The transportation is incredibly convenient; it's a 15-minute walk to the Presidential Palace and only 300 meters from Xi'anmen subway station, making it easy to reach various attractions. Right next to the hotel is a local residential area with great little restaurants in the alleyways, as well as chain stores like Liu Changxing. Overall, I had a very positive experience.

Highly recommend this hidden gem for families with kids! Purple Lake Resort Hotel + Wildlife World. I suggest a 3-day, 2-night stay, opting for the package that includes accommodation, unlimited access to the wildlife park, and hot springs. This allows you to comfortably see all the animals and enjoy plenty of interactive experiences.
**Day 1:** Arrived at 10 AM, checked in immediately, dropped off our bags, and headed into the park. First, we watched the sea lion show, then fed and interacted with giraffes, elephants, zebras, and more. Finally, we took the mini-train for an overall tour of the park and fed the animals.
For lunch, we went back to the hotel for a meal and a nap. After waking up, we played at the kids' playground until 5 PM (older kids might consider the outdoor amusement park for rides like the pirate ship and Ferris wheel).
Dinner was in Tangshan town; many local farm-to-table restaurants offer great value (we got a 4-dish set for three people for 168 RMB [thumbs up]). After dinner, we enjoyed the hot springs, concluding our first day.
**Day 2:** After an early breakfast, we went straight back into the park to see the giant pandas (they're more active from 9 AM to 11 AM). Afterward, we rode ponies, then went to the deer and monkey areas for interactive feeding, and caught up on any other animals we missed. After a simple lunch, we watched the 1 PM grand circus performance, then checked out.
A one-night stay is sufficient, but two nights make it much more relaxed. The entire resort is perfect for multi-generational trips with seniors and children. The environment is beautiful and peaceful. Seniors can also enjoy boating, watching fish and swans, soaking in the hot springs, and leisurely strolls. I'll definitely consider bringing my parents here next time.

The proprietress was very good, introduced the surrounding scenic spots and restaurants, did not take the wrong road and did not step on the thunder. There are fewer flowers in winter, and it should be better in spring.

Guest UserThe room is incredibly spacious, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows spanning an entire wall. The electric curtains open and close with a single touch, providing excellent natural light. The desk faces directly out, offering breathtaking views of the Nanjing skyline and Xuanwu Lake. You can watch the sunrise over Xuanwu Lake from your window in the morning and witness the golden sunset in the evening.
The service is equally impressive. From the welcoming staff who proactively opened doors and handled luggage, to the front desk's patient and meticulous check-in process. Housekeeper Regina was also excellent, sending many local guides that were very helpful for getting around.
While this InterContinental has been open for some years, and some facilities show a slight touch of age, it's well-maintained and doesn't detract from the overall experience. As a high-end InterContinental hotel, both the soft and hardware, and the service, are top-notch, and the lake view is simply unparalleled. Five-star recommendation, I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Nanjing!

On my first night in Nanjing, I stayed at an Airbnb I had previously booked, but I was quite unhappy with it. So for my second and third nights, I switched to this hotel in the Fuzimiao scenic area. It's perfectly located, less than 500 meters from the Fuzimiao Confucius Temple and about 300 meters from the subway entrance, making it super convenient to get to other attractions. The room was very clean, spacious, and bright. The service was patient and attentive, and they even have robots delivering meals. You can store your luggage for free if you arrive early, and also after check-out.

ZuoshouchuyaoguaiI had a really pleasant stay in Nanjing this time. The hotel I checked into offered excellent service, and the surrounding area was lovely. It's centrally located in Nanjing, making transportation very convenient, close to both Daxinggong and Changfujie metro stations. The room facilities were complete, with a wet/dry separated bathroom. Zhou at the front desk was also very thoughtful and quickly helped me adjust my room. The room itself was quite spacious and relatively quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Getting around was a breeze, being close to the subway and with bus stops right outside. I could also store my luggage after checking out. I was extremely satisfied with my stay. It's definitely worth recommending. They even asked about my satisfaction, which shows how attentive and considerate they are. Highly recommended!

Guest UserThe hotel's location is great, very close to Xuanwu Lake, making it convenient to walk there and explore the lake easily. The room itself was generally fine, but there were a few minor issues with the stay. The projector light above the bed had a small blue dot that kept flashing at night, which disrupted my sleep. The air conditioning was quite noisy when running, making a noticeable 'whirring' sound even on the lowest setting; however, if I turned it off, the room became too warm. I hope the hotel can improve these small details in the future. Overall, the location is a plus, but there's room for improvement regarding soundproofing and equipment specifics.

Guest UserWe made a last-minute decision to visit Nanjing, so I quickly booked a hotel. When we arrived, the staff noticed that the queen-sized bed in our room wouldn't be comfortable for a family of three. The front desk was incredibly helpful and promptly changed us to a twin-bedded room. We were pleasantly surprised when we went upstairs – it felt like a huge upgrade! The room wasn't huge, but it was very cozy. The separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom were a fantastic touch, giving us more privacy when showering. The room truly had a Zen-like feel, and it was perfect for taking photos with our child. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. Who says you can't find a great room with a last-minute booking? I definitely did, and I absolutely loved it!

I personally think it's great. There's a 24-hour front desk, and you need a key card for the elevator, which feels very secure. A robot delivers room service, and the sheets and duvet covers are spotless. The hotel has a charming, vintage-inspired design. The breakfast buffet is also good; the photo shows a corner of the self-service area, which surprisingly had toast and a toaster – something you don't always see at buffets, probably catering to international guests. I didn't take more photos of the restaurant as people were dining, and I wanted to respect their privacy. Overall, it's a really good place.

The room was cosy and comfortable and we thought there was enough space for our two suitcases, even though the room seems small. The staff is very helpful and very polite. Everything was clean and nice :)
Right next to one of the entrances for the old area with the temple. We happened on the lantern festival and is was really pretty!
