The front desk service is excellent. Staff is friendly & helpful. They also provide a metro station map highlighting scenic spots. Value added service like the self laundry & night supper make the hotel homely.
There is one concern which was also highlighted in another review that the room has some stench of smell as you enter the room. I think it comes from the shower / toilet as there is no ventilator.
The room is well equipped including a coffee machine & some free light snacks. As I mentioned earlier that I feel comfortable, convenient & homely staying in the hotel.
The room I have also has a small balcony, nice.

The best best best hotel apartment in this trip as i have stay three hotel in this trip.
Breakfast is nice and good for kid.
Really nice kids toothbrush set.
And the aircon is nice not too dry.
Really quite and good location. Easy to get various food and drink.
10mins to Hongshan zoo and around 15mins to DeJi.
I will definitely stay here next time when I travel to Nanjing.

Nice hotel near busy LaoSingMen area; was assigned a room in B1 level with a small window that does not have much light or see anything outside as this is a basement level in a hotel with center court (天井？）； our towels were changed daily, but, there was no cleaning done on a daily basis; bathroom’s sink was clogged with lots of hair inside; we managed to clean up the clogging sink ourselves when we learned this the first night.
Hotel is not too far from public bus station, but it is pretty far from the metro station (more than 15 minutes of walking distance); it’s not likely that we will book this place when we visit Nanjing next time.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was spotless and provided a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. Its location is incredibly convenient, making traveling around the area a breeze. One of the highlights of my visit was the breathtaking view of both the lake and the mountains. The staff were exceptionally friendly. And, most importantly, the breakfast was absolutely delicious.

I stayed in a twin-bed room for two nights in late December. The hotel is very clean, lobby is tastefully decorated and classy, location is convenient as it is just next to a shopping mall, and with many eateries in the vicinity. The room is big and spacious (no smoke smell) and I enjoyed the little details like electric window blinds and clothes line in the bathroom. Reception and housekeeping staff are very friendly and courteous with fast service levels. Concierge staff are knowledgeable and able to provide accurate information on various tourist attractions.

Excellent stay in downtown Nanjing. Can't go wrong with this hotel!
Great service and facilities. Room is equipped with smart toilet and Nespresso machine. Laundry area & gym at the topmost floor. Free drinks and snacks with bottled water in the room and lobby area.
Breakfast is good. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores within the vicinity.

SShawnIf I can give 10 stars I would for the services, all the staff are going and beyond what we expected for the service. They washed, dried, folded, and delivered our clothes for free. On top of that, they let us check in really early like 9 o’clock. However the most impressive service was they had someone carried our luggages and walked us to the train station just around the corner and refused to accept our tip. Who can beat these kind of service?
The room is clean and has the high tech voice control for almost everything, and the best part is the high tech toilet. Wish we can one at home.
The breakfast is also good, but mostly Chinese breakfast, not western style. It has great latte coffee though. It costs 20 rmb about $2.80 dollar.
The location is excellent. A lot of restaurants and shops surrounding, and Nanjing train station South is only 3 minutes walk. The hotel also close to Niushoushan temple. This is the must see tourist spot.
If we come to Nanjing again, we would definitely stay there again.

TTinaMThis is the first time I've had an absolutely 10/10 experience with any hotel. This particular hotel also outranks every other Marriott I've ever stayed at. I genuinely could not think of a single negative point. I was only in Nanjing for 2 nights, in town for a meeting, and I'm so glad I chose to stay here.
Firstly, the room is exactly as advertised. Marriott hotels always have the fluffiest pillows, but this particular hotel had the most HEAVENLY pillows. The bed was so comfy that I ended up postponing my day plans just so I could sleep in! I didn't realise how desperately I needed that rest and recuperation, and am glad I chose to stay here and get what I needed. Also, this hotel does not skimp on the water - most hotels will only give you 2 tiny bottles a day, which if it's blazing hot outside, can be frustrating, especially if you want to boil water for tea/coffee in the morning. This hotel provides 4-5 complimentary bottles of water per day. In many ways, I felt like they anticipated what I'd need and would provide it before I even had the chance to ask. There is also an ironing board stowed in the room, which for me was a lifesaver as I had an important meeting.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the location is indeed fantastic. I was so relieved to find that after a long train journey, I only needed to hop on the subway for 1 stop - I didn't even need to exit the building, as the hotel is located inside the mall connected to the subway station.
The breakfast spread is not too bad either, with the highlight for me being the espresso machines. When I tell you this machine delivers the most divine coffee in 10 seconds, I am not kidding. It was one of my favourite things and a great way to kickstart a busy day.
At check-in, the reception staff ensured they gave me all the info I needed. I noticed this is often skipped at other hotels as staff are shy or reluctant to speak in English, which results in foreign guests missing out on relevant info or complimentary perks - but the Marriott team refused to let language be an obstacle. I was glad to learn free snacks and coffee were available in the executive lounge each evening. While I was there, the executive lounge manager - I think her name is Sheila, apologies if I've gotten this wrong - took the time to introduce herself and ask if I needed anything. She was so polite and genuinely seemed to want to improve the experience for guests. To me, these small touches are what set a service-oriented luxury hotel apart from others.
On my first night, I'd arrived pretty exhausted after having sat on a delayed train for hours, and I wanted to order takeaway as I didn't have the energy to go out. They have Meituan lockers positioned right at the hotel entrance, which you can unlock with your phone and collect your deliveries. Being a foreigner who doesn't understand Chinese very well, I wasn't sure how to navigate this, but the reception staff went out of their way to help me, ensuring they stayed with me until I'd collected my parcel - it was not at all necessary for them to help me so much, but they did, and I'm very grateful for that :)
I spent the entire month traveling in China and so, looking back, am able to compare all of the hotels and experiences from this trip. This particular hotel ranks 10/10 for me not only because of the location, but also because of the kindness and professionalism of staff. Things can sometimes be confusing or overwhelming for foreigners, and this was the only hotel where staff didn't hesitate to rush in and offer to help, no matter how small the issue. Even the gentleman at the coffee bar in the lobby was so kind and polite - and might I add, everyone at this hotel speaks English, so they really do cater to an international crowd. Housekeeping staff too were very sweet, always greeting you and asking if you needed extra bottles of water.
Thank you for a relaxing, delightful stay! I hope to come again and stay longer next time.

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations.
We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby.
We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed.
Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel.
This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance.
We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again.
Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed.
When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet.
Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

SSir Eric JohnStaying at the Jumeirah Nanjing is a ”must” experience for all travelers to the city. The hotel has a perfect location, being only 5min from the olympic stadium area and the Nanjing eye scenic area. The hotel staff are polite, friendly, and speak perfect english. The hotel rooms, whether city view or river view, are all sublime. Spacious room with spacious bathroom and complimentary drinks in the mini-fridge, the holiday feeling when you enter the room is immediate. The hotel has is home to a number of restaurants that offer a range of meals. Additionally, the hotel buffet is great (cost approx 350CNY) and includes a variety of meal options from seafood to steak to vegetarian options. I stay at this hotel once or twice per year and i thoroughly enjoy the stay each time.

WWONGEdwinOur trip to Nanjing left us with beautiful memories and a very positive impression. Largely attributable to the very pleasant stay at Swisstouches Hotel. We stayed in the suite from end May to early June.
1. Very clean and comfortable suite - About one of the most comfortable rooms I have had stayed in recent memory. Spacious, clean, well - kept, well - maintained. Reasonably priced. Whole place smelled good, no hint of musky odour, no tobacco smell, children had zero issue with allergy. Sound proofing was great.
I do wish the kitchenette is better equipped with microwave oven, utensils and simple crockery. Not that we cook in the room, but I guess it is more convenient to have simple utensils available in the kitchenette.
2. Courteous, attentive and responsive service - Reception was courteous, patient and reliable. Restaurant staff were obliging and prompt (requests were attended to promptly, room cleaning staff were responsible and detailed. (I accidentally left the Do-Not-Disturb sign on, they left a note reminding me about that, and took the initiative to return in the evening to clean up the room - all without any request from me. I thought of just going letting the room cleaning pass for 1 day). Such conscientious work attitude is hard to come by.
3. Food was hygienic and ample - The buffet breakfast was amply stocked and spread was decent. Not an emperor's feast, but way enough to surpass expectations for most people.
4. Location was decent, safe - The hotel is situated in the outskirts of Nanjing city. So you get the tranquil, but you wont have the hustle and bustle. There are convenience stores and eateries well within a stone's throw. Ride hailing taxis are easily available too. But if you are expecting to walk to the tourist spots, you will have to stay in the heart of the city. I personally prefer a location like Swisstouches' .
5. Facilities - I only tried the swimming pool and gym. Very decent. Good enough for exercise and workouts during travel. Gym was well equipped, albeit a little messy. But that's more of gym users rather than the set-up. Swimming pool was well maintained and monitored at all times. Great for lane swimming.
All in all, fantastic stay. Go back again? Big Yes.

TTravel with ZenWe got a free rooms upgrade by the hotel as it’s our wedding anniversary trips!! Rooms are clean n tidy n comfortable. Spacious room too. Very iconic hotel building in Nanjing as well, metro is just within 2 mins walk from the hotel main entrance. Their room top bar is amazing at lvl 78! We stay at lvl 52 which is pretty cool with an amazing view! Will highly recommend this hotel

RRabbitLittleHotel is a little old. Receptionists is helpful. However, they are not well versed in English. So for non Mandarin speaking guests, it will be somewhat challenging to communicate with them. Hotel breakfast is so so. Nonetheless, the hotel location is very good with lots of eateries and restaurants around. Overall, the stay is ok.

JJedi TravellerHotel was very good for the area and good value for money. Key benefit was the all day dining cooked fresh in front of you. Only disappointment was that room had no window despite me booking a city view. Hotel had a kind of Las Vegas feel to it.
