"I brought my own bedding, so I didn't closely inspect the sheets. The room environment was very good. On the last day, when I was packing my bedding, I found bloodstains on the pillow. Also, one day while we were sleeping, a cleaning lady knocked on the door asking if we wanted housekeeping. She then just opened the door and walked in. She left when she realized we were inside. It really scared my partner and me."
Pod Choice Hotel (Nanjing Lukou International Airport Tongshan Subway Station)
"Conveniently located near Lukou Airport business district, making it easy to drive around and shop. The room was very clean, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. It was quiet at night, which was great for sleeping. Parking is free, and the front desk staff patiently recommended some local eateries. Overall, it's excellent value for money and perfect for a short trip, especially for university students. Five-star rating!"

The Ritz-Carlton, Nanjing
"Had a fantastic stay, full of little surprises every day when I returned to my room. After a day out, I'd find bath salts and rose petals laid out on the table – so thoughtful! It was perfect for relieving the day's fatigue, and the bath salts smelled wonderful, I loved them! 🥰 The view was great too. Thumbs up to the Ritz-Carlton Nanjing! 👍🏻 Hope Minion and I have good luck with tickets in the future ❤️"
InterContinental Hotels NANJING by IHG
"Good location and easy transport to other places. Super beautiful view from LV 45 platform."
Golden Eagle International Hotel
"This hotel is located right in the heart of Xinjiekou, with direct access to a shopping mall and the subway right downstairs. The rooms have an elegant Republic of China-era aesthetic, and the panoramic windows offer stunning city night views. The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries are high-quality. The service is attentive and thoughtful, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining."
Kempinski Hotel Nanjing
"Let's start with the most critical issue: soundproofing. I could hear people talking in the hallway from the bathroom, and it sounded like they were right next to me. Imagine hearing people cough in your ear while you're trying to sleep – can you live with that? Next, hygiene. There were dust and hair everywhere, in every nook and cranny. The toilet flush was so strong it would splash water all over the seat; you literally had to sprint away after pressing the button. Now, the facilities. The air conditioning in the room was incredibly noisy and kept breaking down. I woke up sweating in the middle of the night. The bedding was a winter duvet, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber not to even provide a basic summer duvet. As for the service, when I asked the front desk for a buckwheat pillow at night, the receptionist proudly announced that they were fully booked and therefore had no buckwheat pillows left. It's embarrassing for them to even say that when they can't even provide basic amenities. Clearly, their training is subpar. Finally, the food. Breakfast was an absolute disaster, barely better than what you'd find at a budget motel. The black tea was served from a large metal drum, making it feel like a school cafeteria. The omelets were burnt and dry, yet they still served them. Thankfully, I didn't have dinner here. Avoid this place at all costs. The decor is outdated, the service is terrible, hygiene is a major concern, and the food is inedible."
Grand Metropark Nanjing
"Nestled at the foot of Zijin Mountain, surrounded by lush greenery and right beside Yueya Lake, stepping onto the balcony offers a shimmering view of the water. A huge thanks to Jiang at the front desk for their meticulous and thoughtful service; they proactively asked about our needs and even upgraded us to a scenic room, which offered a breathtaking view. Getting around was incredibly convenient – it was just a ten-minute taxi ride to visit the historical Mausoleum of Sun Yat-sen or enjoy an evening stroll along the Qinhuai River at Confucius Temple. The Nanjing Museum was even within walking distance, saving us the hassle of navigating public transport. Mornings offered a lovely lakeside jog, and at night, we drifted off to sleep amidst the tranquil sounds of the mountain forest. This kind of relaxed charm and warm hospitality is truly the most unforgettable, perfect memory of our time in Nanjing."
International Youth Convention Hotel (Nanjing International Youth Cultural Centre)
"This stay far exceeded my expectations; it was a truly relaxing escape for both body and mind. The hotel boasts an excellent location, offering a tranquil retreat amidst a bustling area with convenient transportation. Stepping into the lobby, the elegant design and warm ambiance instantly washed away my travel fatigue. The room was spacious, bright, and exquisitely decorated, with thoughtful details evident everywhere. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered captivating views, and waking up to such scenery was truly refreshing. What impressed me most was the meticulous service. The front desk staff were welcoming and attentive, making the check-in process efficient and swift."
Celebrity City Hotel Nanjing
"This is hands down the worst hotel I've ever stayed in when it comes to environment and facilities. The only redeeming qualities are the view of Xuanwu Lake and its convenient location for getting around; everything else is just beyond words. The hotel is so old and the facilities are incredibly outdated. I stayed for two nights and honestly couldn't get any sleep because of the terrible smell from the carpets and curtains. The mattress was completely caved in, I literally sank into it. Seriously, everyone, avoid this place at all costs! You'd be better off staying at a budget chain like Home Inn."
Shangri-La Nanjing
Overlooking the picturesque Xuanwu Lake, this premier luxury destination is recognized globally for its breathtaking panoramic water views and world-class wellness facilities ensuring absolute relaxation and rejuvenation.

"This is my first serious review on Ctrip. I won't dwell on the shop's quality, as every business owner has their own standards and standards. But how did Ctrip get such a high score? I'm furiously questioning! It was filthy, truly filthy. The floor was sticky and littered with cigarette butts. The lobby reeked of alcohol as soon as you entered, like a small-scale, factory-style hotel. I booked the hotel's best room, and the breakfast voucher was useless because I had no idea what the food would be like with such sanitation standards. I wouldn't eat it. The elevator floor was also littered with cigarette butts, and the thick carpet in the hallway reeked of mold and was visibly filthy. Let's focus on the room itself. The bathroom was immediately greeted by a urine-infused stench. There were moldy spots and yellow stains everywhere, shoes stuck to the floor, hair on the sheets, sticky liquid stains on the table, and the sofa was stained with an unknown liquid, hair, and dirt. I couldn't even place anything on the table or sofa. Resting in such an environment made me feel itchy and sick. I seriously want to file a complaint with Ctrip for misleading customer reviews. This place only has a 3.3 rating on Dianping. Avoid it."
Nanjing Olympic Sports Expo Center UEASY Hotel
"I booked this hotel in Nanjing for a concert. The room was quite spacious and newly renovated. However, the hygiene wasn't great. When I got back to the hotel at night, I found an insect on the wall, and I couldn't tell what it was. I called customer service to deal with it, but they didn't even kill the bug, and I have no idea where it flew off to. This led to me having to change rooms in the middle of the night. The new room also had a strange smell, but since it was so late, I was too tired to bother, so I just sprayed some perfume in the room myself. The next day, I found bug bites on my feet, and it's been several days now, but it's still a big bump."
Jumeirah Nanjing
"We booked a family room, but when we first entered, there was a strong smell of smoke, so we had to change rooms. The fruit they delivered was rotten when I bit into it, and there was no apology. Overall, the service was mediocre, but the environment was nice."
Lakeview Xuanwu Hotel
"The hotel check-in colleague, I believe his name is Mr Zhu (see his card), was really pleasant mannered and helpful. He looked at my special request that I am allergic to cigarette smells and took an initiative to get me a non-smoking room. He even asked his colleague to take me to the room to check the environment first. This guest-oriented service attitude is praise worthy."
Novotel Nanjing Central Suning
Offering reliable international comfort right in the heart of the city's commercial district, this contemporary hotel is well-loved for its highly walkable surroundings and easy access to premium shopping malls.
Four Points by Sheraton Nanjing,Gulou District
Taoyuan Ji Hotel (Nanjing Zhushanlu Subway Station Longwan Tianjie Branch)
"I chose this hotel next to a mall for our family trip to Nanjing with the kids. It shares a parking lot with the mall and even has its own EV charging spots, which is super convenient. The hotel itself is quite nice, everything is voice-controlled. Plus, Longhu Tianjie (Paradise Walk) is right next door."
Qingmu • Shang Hotel NanjingNan Sation
"This stay truly exceeded my expectations! First off, the location is absolutely fantastic – super close to Nanjing South Station, just a few minutes' walk. It's incredibly convenient for anyone catching a high-speed train with luggage. The hotel environment is also very comfortable, with a simple yet stylish decor. The biggest surprise was the smart home system; the AC automatically adjusted the temperature based on human presence, and the curtains and lights could all be controlled via a panel – very high-tech! The front desk staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. Overall, it offers excellent value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Nanjing!"
