"Here in Langde you are immersed in all things Miao. Exploring the Chinese Miao culture and learning how every embroidered, woven, wax-resistant mark, song and probably dance step has meaning. I was snap happy in this 670 year old wooden village. Rice noodles with minced pork with a side of boiled egg and sweet potato for breakfast. Then off to the daily dancing show that was wonderful! I love my balcony that overlooked the river. The room was beautiful appointed with indigo fabrics. The inn keeper was so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel."

GGuest UserI specifically chose to travel in May, avoiding public holidays, and the experience was exceptionally pleasant. The hotel's location is superb, right next to the observation deck, and the scenic shuttle bus stop is very close by. I didn't have to drag my luggage for a long distance, which was a relief since I initially read guides saying it would be exhausting carrying bags. Here, you don't have to worry about that at all.
The owner was incredibly welcoming and even came to pick me up personally. They also provided tips on how to explore the area. The room offered a spectacular view; opening the window revealed the entire Miao village. The room was clean and tidy. Being on the mountaintop, it was also quiet, allowing me to sleep in until I naturally woke up. During the day, the shuttle bus was nearby, making it easy to head down the mountain for sightseeing and photos. As night fell, I enjoyed a local specialty drink, accompanied by the beautiful nightscape of the Miao village. Such leisurely and comfortable moments were truly enchanting.

GGuest UserAfter we got out of the car, the front desk attendant came over to greet us and offered to help with all our luggage. The hotel isn't brand new, but the hygiene and facilities are excellent, and the breakfast is exquisite and delicious. Two things really stood out: 1. The room location is superb; you can lie in bed and watch the Miao village across the way. 2. The front desk attendant was incredibly enthusiastic; not only did he insist on carrying all our bags, but he also offered to bring breakfast to our room. So thoughtful!

GGuest UserTraveling all the way from Shandong, we covered over 1900 kilometers, staying at several hotels and guesthouses priced over 1000 RMB. Each hotel stay felt like a mystery box – always worried about bad experiences, especially when paying a premium doesn't guarantee satisfaction. Miao Village was our last stop, and unlike before, we didn't go for the most expensive option. After reading many reviews, we chose this one.
Many people mentioned the breakfast in their reviews, so I didn't take pictures. While not overly lavish, it was absolutely delicious and hit the spot. The millet porridge was fragrant and smooth, and the scallion pancakes were incredibly tasty, all very clean and hygienic. We've stayed at several guesthouses in the scenic area, and this is the only one that included breakfast, offering the best value for money.
The only minor drawback is that the toiletries could be upgraded, but everything else was perfect!

Service: The front desk brother warmly received the reception and also helped to send the luggage into the room. He also helped to make a guide to avoid stepping on the pit. Free breakfast is also good. 👍

JJinkismA beautiful and memorable stay right in the heart of the old town. Although the accommodation is located higher up and requires climbing some stairs, it was not tiring at all because the staff kindly helped carry our luggage all the way from the bottom to the hotel.
The room itself was stunning, with large windows that offered the most breathtaking panoramic view of the old town. Honestly, it felt like one of the best viewpoints in the area. Every corner was picture-perfect.
The design was especially impressive, blending beautifully with the historic atmosphere through elegant vintage-style decor while still providing modern comforts. The amenities were complete, thoughtfully arranged, and equipped with smart automatic features. The shower was amazing too, with strong water pressure that made it extra satisfying.
The owner was warm and friendly, offering great local restaurant recommendations that made exploring even better. The location was also excellent, just a short walk from a nearby scenic viewpoint.
Perfect for anyone who wants charm, comfort, beautiful views, and an authentic old town experience.

GGuest UserWe arrived in Xijiang and were immediately met with such a kind surprise—they upgraded our room for my birthday, which truly set the tone for our entire stay. We were on the third floor with the most wonderful view, looking out over their little water feature and the village beyond. Our balcony, complete with a tea set and two chairs, quickly became one of our favorite spots. Sitting there, especially in the evening, felt magical—like we were nestled among the stars overlooking the town.
The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the viewing platform and easily accessible down into the main village. Arriving was also incredibly smooth. As first-time visitors to China, we were quite nervous navigating trains and logistics as English speakers, but the hotel staff stepped in early with clear, thoughtful guidance. From the very beginning, they were attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind.
When we arrived at the North Gate after taking the shuttle into the scenic area, a staff member met us and carried both of our bags up the hill and stairs to the accommodation. This was such a thoughtful gesture—especially because the terrain can be challenging. (For future travelers: if possible, avoid bringing heavy suitcases—but if you do, you’ll be very well taken care of here.)
Check-in was seamless, and our room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities we needed. They provided water, soft robes, and made communication very easy via WeChat. Breakfast was also a highlight—we opted for the Chinese breakfast, which was light, healthy, and a perfect way to start the day before exploring all the incredible street food in town.
We especially loved the communal living space—a cozy café-style area with a balcony overlooking the village. It was such a peaceful place to sit, have tea, and take in the views both during the day and under the night sky. They also had everything you could need: a coffee maker, dishes, mugs, and even fresh spring water, which was a lovely touch.
The warmth of the people here truly made the experience unforgettable. The housekeeping staff were so kind, and the younger staff members were incredibly helpful and attentive. It really felt like being welcomed into a home rather than just staying at a hotel. And the little cats around the property made it even more special.
On our departure day, we were running late for the last bus, and one of the younger staff members carried my very heavy bag down the hill and practically ran with it to make sure we made it on time. He stayed with us until we were safely on board. That level of care and service is something we will never forget.
We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, thank you, thank you again to the family and the entire staff for your kindness and for taking such wonderful care of us. You made our short stay in Xijiang an absolute pleasure and a weekend we will remember forever.

WWensifuliangThis guesthouse deserves a whopping five stars! The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of the scenic area. The main attractions are just steps away, so you don't have to wander around. You can easily return to your room to rest after a long day of sightseeing, saving you time and effort.
The owner's service was incredibly heartwarming. She was always smiling, patiently answering all our questions, and even proactively sharing sightseeing routes and tips to avoid common pitfalls. She was like family, making us feel completely at ease while traveling. The room was impeccably clean; every corner was spotless, without a speck of dust or odor, and the bedding was fresh and comfortable.
The facilities were complete, meeting all our daily needs. The best part was the hot water! The flow was plentiful and the temperature was consistent; a shower left me feeling refreshed and instantly relieved of travel fatigue. The value for money is outstanding. From the location and service to the cleanliness, everything was impeccable. I'll definitely choose this place again next time, and I've already recommended it to my friends who are planning a trip!

GGuest UserThis is a very cute room with Zen light qualities and a minimalist theme that complements the location. I spent hours just looking out the window admiring the scenery. I encourage you to do the same. People in this province are the friendliest and all of China. This is reflected in the hotel staff.Xijiang Miao Village it’s not an easy place to get to. It is not an easy place to leave. Therefore, the in keeper staff here went out of their way to make my journey a good one. When they were welcoming to the city, arrival in keeper tried to poach me away and had me climbing up 100 m of ancient carved stairs while carrying a heavy bag. I wanted to punch that person when I found out he was an impostor after climbing up to that altitude in sketch conditions. Be weary of such people upon arrival.
In contrast, this place is super nice and the staff is super nice . I highly recommend. But it is important to travel light when you visit this village the stairs can be very dangerous when wet, but they are super old.

The room was upgraded. The room we originally booked did not have a view. We were upgraded to a balcony view king room for free. You can see the panoramic view of the Miao village. You don't need to climb the mountain to see the panoramic view. The hotel is located in the center of the Miao village. It is convenient to go anywhere. It is especially worth recommending 👍👍👍

Choosing YunTing Luxury when visiting Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village was an absolute win! The location is superb, right next to the observation deck, just a few minutes' walk. Their private observation deck offers even better views than the public one; opening the window reveals a panoramic view of the Miao village, and the evening lights are breathtaking.
The rooms are designed in the traditional Miao stilt-house style, with wooden floors and ethnic-inspired soft furnishings. They are clean and have a quality feel. The bedding is soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the soundproofing is excellent, making for a super quiet evening. Each room has a panoramic balcony, allowing you to enjoy the morning mist, sea of clouds, and sunset without even leaving your room – every photo you take will be stunning 📸.
And the service is incredibly thoughtful! The butler contacted me in advance to arrange pick-up and proactively helped with my luggage, being warm and attentive throughout my stay. The minced pork noodles for breakfast were authentic and delicious, showing great attention to detail.
Whether it's for enjoying the night view, taking beautiful photos, or experiencing Miao culture, this place is flawless. It offers incredible value for money and is a must-stay when visiting Xijiang! I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely choose it again next time!
