Qianhu Miao Village was a huge task for me while browsing through their long list of homestays available. Thankfully, I chose Chunxiao and never regret of my choice. The homestay is new, clean, easily located and accessible! You don't need to climb up lots of stairs to arrive. Just take their local shuttle bus while going uphill and you may have a nice walk downhill. The boss was so kind to assist us with our 4 luggage upon arrival and the day we leave. It wasn't an easy task transporting 4 huge luggage uphill and they managed it professionally and systematically. A huge thumbs up to Chunxiao and we will definitely choose this homestay when we come back again! Thank you very much, all the staff of Chunxiao!!

We were super lost at first, but we gave them a call and they met us across the bridge and helped us carry our bags up the steep hill, and then up the multiple floors of the hotel. The two men at the front desk went above and beyond to help us out — we accidentally left a phone on the train on the way to Xijiang, and we couldn't contact the train company because we're international travelers who are not fluent in Mandarin. They helped us contact 12306, file a lost item report, coordinate with the train company, and arranged for a courier to bring the phone from the train station to the village. We got the phone back in less than 24 hours! They were also helpful with local recommendations, and overall very patient with my intermediate level Mandarin. Very good location! Getting to the main village is pretty far from bus and car drop off at the tourist ticketing counter. You will have to take a bus and buggy in so carry light or something manageable as you will have to push them through uneven stones. Once you’re at the village, the hotel is just a few steps from the scenic drop off point. Hotel staff is friendly, we were offered a complimentary cocktail drink and ethnic clothing rental at another outlet 50m away. It’s also near an ethnic clothing rental shop (it’s good, we’ve tried them), restaurant and village buggy point. We were grateful we’ve booked this place as we don’t have to push our luggages around further. Room was clean, aesthetic, with a good view of a plantation.
