"We never did work out what this hotel was before it was refurbished in 2025. It's clearly had a facelift but does feel like a hotel that has been modernised on a budget. The windows in our room (219) let quite a lot of noise in even though we were on the side of the hotel over looking some flats. If the front windows are this bad then traffic noise will be an issue (I asked for a quiet room). They were fitted with blackout blinds though which were brilliant. Tea and coffee supplied was generous. There was no coffee machine but instead there was a French press (cafetiere) with a bag of locally roast coffee which was a nice touch and for me preferable. The beds and pillows were excellent. The bathroom was OK but the shower did leak and we wondered if that's why there were 3 big bath towels (to mop it up). I must mention the parking as a secure car park is a must for stopovers and the underground car park with with electric doors is the most secure I have seen. For a start you can't simply walk into it like a lot of car parks as the door completely blocks access and if you drive in you can't get out without a ticket. It's not huge so on busy days it could be full but there is parking on ground level too though obviously not as secure. Be aware that the vehicles over 1.8m (i.e. many SUVs or cars with roof loads) are too tall for the underground car park. It's also worth knowing that the ramp down is also the exit as this isn't immediately obvious and the button you press to exit is on a post which makes it awkward to get close to without damaging the car (more so than a normal barrier exit on a car park). The worst bit though is the ramp down which is basically corrugated and even driving slowly is very uncomfortable. I appreciate this is for grip and safely but there must be a better way. There was evidence a Porsche club had parked in the car park and I wonder how they dealt with the ramp. The biggest obstacle to returning though was the limited choice of twin rooms which were either the basic room or a very expensive one. Couple this with wanting a quiet room and there appears to be little chance of a view of either the canal or the city."

"The hotel provided a room without hot water supply, so we couldn't take a shower. When we checked out, the staff promised to refund the room fee in full, but in the end they didn't keep their promise and said that it didn't happen. The service quality and business practices of such a hotel are simply infuriating. If you book this hotel, please think twice. There are no staff in the hotel after 9pm, and no one will help you solve any problems you encounter. Don't be fooled."

"We stayed here for one on the way down south and it was lovely. The family room was a great size for 4 of us and the bathroom was nice and spacious. Even had hair and body wash included. We paid €14 to park in the private car park underneath the building which was worth it for peace of mind. Breakfast was nice too and I really enjoyed the eggs. We would stay again"

"Very close to Xmas market square, but a bit distance if you are visiting city centre of Reims and the Cathedral. But all in all the hotel is new and clean. The shower seems sometimes hot and sometimes cold, not consistent."
