Logis Hotel au Tambour

Do consider staying at this hotel if you’re visiting Reims with a car. With a 7-minute drive from the city center, you get a more spacious room with facilities much more than a 3-star. We couldn’t manage to arrive on time for check-in, but they have kindly found out an alternative to work it out. Attached photo displays the outdoor patio to our room!

We found that hotel by looking at “hotel with car park” in Reims and booked. I have to say that as soon as you enter rue de Magneux, guided by the satnav, seeing cars parked both sides, with a sole lane in the middle, I thought “Where the hell are we headed?” The hotel is placed on both side of the street and is composed by various composite blocks purchased one after the other, it has evolved like this and will probably carry on to do so. A magnetic card/key is given to you and it open a WIDE garage that can fit 16 cars and a few motorcycles. That might have been a workshop or a farm building of some sort and there is a LOT OF ROOM in it. As much as the bedrooms in block C actually, and I have to say that we’ve got the widest bedroom we ever had, through our travelling years. We had a glance at the other bedrooms of block C with the maid in the morning and they are spacious but not only MONEY has been spent on very high quality items: beddings, furniture, massive TV (we didn’t turned it on) air con, superb bathrooms, electric blinds, nice curtains… as a cherry on the cake there is nice personnel, friendly boss, standard and complete buffet breakfast. And all that for less than the chains in centre town!!!!

The sink was blocked, the room is tiny ,but the price is good in this area , wouldn't stay there again though

Fab hotel This was a lovely hotel. We only stayed one night but had a comfortable stay. Location was easy to find straight off the motorway. Good secrure parking

This hotel is slightly out of town, so you’ll have to walk about 20 minutes to reach the pedestrian zone. For the rest we had a simple but positive experience there. Our room was pretty new (but made of cheap elements)., it was clean and quiet. Bed somewhat soft but ok. Good wifi. You can park in the street in front of the hotel. Don’t expect much from the pool, it is minuscule. Check-in and out efficient and friendly. No problem for a no fuss stay in Reims.

We met up with family from Ohio, USA, who were visiting France for their holiday. THe hotel proved to be a good base for 2 nights.
