"Stayed for 3 days and was a bit far from Alona Beach, but fortunately there was a free shuttle bus at the hotel. The interior of the hotel is beautiful, the facilities are very new, and the complimentary breakfast is not bad. But the hotel is surrounded by villages, dirty and messy, the road to the hotel turned out to be a dirt road, the tap water and the water in the pool are all unpurified sea water, a bit salty, the whole of the island of Bohol. With a 12-year-old child, there is no extra bed, and 800p per night, which is a bit expensive. Since I go out to play every day, the overall situation is not bad, the environment there is the same. The level of consumption is comparable to that of first-tier cities in China."
"Wonderful place. Peace, quiet, pool, sunset and very good food. And a nice and helpful owner. Julia, thank you.
The service ladies are also amazing 👍.
By the way, the chicken Gordon Bleu is highly recommended. If you just want to relax for a few days, this is the place for you. Best wishes, Dietmar with Silke

"Originally booked for 2 nights, room 204
As a result, the water pressure is too low to take a bath.
After we responded, we were told that it would be repaired.
but no improvement
Later decided to change to live
The service staff over there said that there was a problem with the water pressure in that room, but the manager has been directing customers and it has not improved.
I booked about NT$3,000 for one night
It turned out that they only refunded me 6,000 pesos
talk to them directly
Give me back the price for one night"

"We recently stayed at Azul de Panglao with our family of five, and it was a fantastic experience! Here's why we highly recommend this hotel:
Outstanding Service: From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay.
Spacious and Comfortable Rooms: Our room was very spacious, featuring three big beds which comfortably fit our family. The room was clean and well-maintained, providing a cozy environment for relaxation after a day of exploring.
Great Value for Money: Compared to other hotels in the area, Azul de Panglao offers great value for money. The price is significantly cheaper while still providing excellent amenities and service.
Complimentary Breakfast and More: We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast of bread and butter every morning, which was a nice touch. Additionally, free water was available anytime, and they even provided bananas, which the kids loved.
Nice Amenities: The hotel boasts a nice shower with ample toiletries and towels provided. The pool was a big hit with our children and a perfect spot for a refreshing dip.
Convenient Location: Azul de Panglao is conveniently located just a short tricycle ride away from Alona Beach, probably around 1 km. This made it easy for us to enjoy the beach and nearby restaurants without any hassle.
Overall, Azul de Panglao exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it for families looking for a budget-friendly, comfortable, and hospitable place to stay in Panglao. We will definitely be back!"
"Everything was perfect but then during Dinner at sea breeze went crowded due to private group also have to dine at the buffet and they were aloooottt!!! I just hope they arrange it separately outside since their tables were outside. The ambiance inside was like at the supermarket. Nevertheless, the beach, pool, rooms, staffs are all great! Will definitely be back."
"Guys, this hotel saved our holiday!
Since the beaches (sea) are all frankly disappointing on the island, the pool in this hotel seemed to us simply heavenly. It is not made like ordinary pools, it has different levels for lying and relaxing, wonderful gazebos, and most importantly, it is so quiet there and there are only 5 rooms, of which not all are occupied, so there is a complete feeling that you are in your own villa. And it's nice. The room is also excellent as an apartment with a living room and a kitchen. Super"

Great
DDaniela1975Beautiful in a minimalistic style, two nice pool areas, one with infinity pool. We stayed for just one night, and we were mostly out of the hotel on day tours. Breakfast was very good, dinner was okay, not great. Compared to other hotels we stayed in the Philippines, this one is on the small side and maybe less family-friendly, more for couples.
GGuest UserHenann Tawala is a good choice in terms of location, service and food. However, the beach-front pools have been made exclusive to Henann Alona guests. It's a shame, it would have been a nice, relaxing alternative to watch the sunset, and listen to the band while sipping piña colada, since beach-front daybeds get collected and packed up at 6p.m. so if you want sunsets and live music, make sure to find your spot early on the sand since a LOT of people are gonna be there, it is a public beach after all.
SSam Le ChiqLocation, excellent
Cleanliness overall excellent
Swimming pool excellent
Miscellaneous services: laundry service, gym, and other helpful services excellent
Restaurant. Overall, very good to excellent menu. Suggestion: fresh drip coffee or a fresh espresso machine rather than capsules. Also, vegan/Vegetarian options would be appreciated. There is definitely a market for it.
Small suggestion: “Some” staff find it hard to smile. A smile always makes everyone happy, including customers. Overall, staff and management are friendly and professional.
Minor maintenance requested for the bathroom during the 10 days I was here was not taken care of. It doesn’t matter what it is. But I did expect it to be taken care of since I stayed here for a while and I mentioned it a couple of times to them. I am sure (or at least hope) they will take care of it eventually though.
One thing, though I highly recommend: the shower floor is very slippery. Even with water and no soap it becomes quite slippery. I have to be very careful. It’s a very minor thing to take care of but extremely important because safety is paramount. I had to wear my swimming shoes in the shower to make sure I don’t slip. I didn’t mention it to them on the second day and asked for some solution like a nonslip mat, etc., but they did not provide it.
I did appreciate it that they let me stay over an hour extra to finish packing on my last day without extra charge.
I’ve been coming to the Philippines for over 10 years. I stayed in many provinces and many hotels. This is the best one by far and is highly recommended. Hopefully they will keep their prices reasonable for future. For the money, I think it’s definitely the best you can get as compared to many other places in the Philippines. I would deduct two or three points only for a couple of things I mentioned above. I would give this hotel a 4.7 out of five stars.
GGuest UserMy stay at the hotel was great. The staff were so nice and friendly, and while there was only one restaurant on site, there was a strip mall next door with multiple dining options and several souvenir shops. There were some empty storefronts, but these appear to be the lingering effects of the long pandemic shutdown.
The grounds and beachfront were pretty and well-maintained, and there is a looong beachfront to walk. The nearby town and Alona Beach were accessible, but aside from doing a city tour and a countryside tour, the latter of which included visiting the Chocolate Hills and the Tarsier Sanctuary, my friends and I felt no need to leave the resort for the rest of our stay.
I know the rating should just be on our stay, but the reason I rated Modala less than excellent was because my pre-trip preparations were less than ideal. We needed information on airport transfers and tours in advance of our stay, and communications were an ordeal. So much follow-up was needed, with multiple communications repeating the same questions trying to get responses, and I used phone calls, e-mails, and texts. Phone calls were best, if only you could get someone to answer the phone, as e-mails and texts were mostly ignored. Responses tended to be incomplete, but at least on a phone call you can keep ”clarifying” your question. In the end, some questions were left till we arrived at the resort, and could speak to them face to face.
GGuest UserA great place to stay in Bohol. Its a bit further away from the busy area at Alona beach but we liked the tranquility. Doljo beach is within walking distance. The room is clean and the staff is very helpful.
GGuest Userpoor breakfast, cold always limited choice,tv only worked half the time in our 2 day stay,
swimming pool very poor, looked good but water dirty not kept well, and water well blow level by at least a foot, clearly visible due to signs and water mark round the tiles.
NNuttaporni am not sure about the details because i booked the room for a person i know. but i visit him sometimes bringing some food and other things, he stayed in the last room of the floor- the room has better space than the middle rooms.
cleanliness and amenities were good. it has clothes rack infront of the room which is very useful for beach trip.
it has a nice view from the walk way and the location is the beach front.
we bought the island hopping tour feom this hotel also, the price was very nice.
GGuest UserFor the pros, the service was pretty decent where the owners were very friendly to my family and they were always striving to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. The location was very ideal as it's very close to Alona Beach (probably 500m walk from the inn) and also shopping and dining options. The breakfast provided was quite wholesome and yummy too, with rice, eggs, corned beef being the regulars and occasionally stir-fried noodles, dried fish, ham and sausages were provided as well.
For the cons, I found the room facilities quite basic despite booking the deluxe room. We were expecting at least a bar fridge in our room but none were there; we had to use fridge in the communal dining area to store some of our leftover food. There was also an occasional pungent odour in the bathroom when the shower tap is turned on. We also had a huge cockroach coming out from a hole in the bathroom which escaped through the gap at the front door. The communal pool water is also murky for most of our stay and was only cleaned towards the end of our stay, when we decided to use it.
Overall, quite an ok stay for the price.
GGuest UserOur stay was okay but it could’ve been improved a lot by some minor adjustments. We were disappointed to find there was no kettle or tea/coffee supplies in the room which we believe should come as standard, especially in a resort. Also, bottled water is only provided on check in and not daily which we were disappointed with also. There were no Sun loungers around the pool like the photos depicted on Trip app. Very limited loungers on the beach front so they were never available. Breakfast was disappointing as there was no bread or fruit, and when bread was requested for myself who does not eat meat and dislikes eggs, there was no butter. I’ve never heard of a restaurant not having butter! There were very limited options, and you were rationed to only have 1 sausage and 1 egg as it was an assisted buffet. There was rice also but nothing to go with it. Also no tea bags available, only coffee. No laundry or scooter rental service which would’ve made our stay a lot more convenient, and no assistance to help find these services when asked if they provided them. Limited plug sockets in the room made it difficult to use our devices and charge them concurrently. There was no shower gel, only a small bar of soap but shower gel is preferable. Water dispensers to fill our own bottles would’ve been nice considering no bottled water provided on days other than check in day. All in all a disappointing stay. Aside from the nice beach, the location was also quite inconvenient as we hadn’t realise there were no other options of shops and restaurants available other than the resort itself.
Ccharlene maePros:
-Beautiful swimming pool w/lifeguard
-clean room
-Gugma Restaurant serves delicious food
-friendly staff except for that one female front desk in the morning as well as the no show manager
Cons:
-Misleading Information and must be updated! The ad shows that the hotel has all the amenities that we looked for are wifi/wired internet in the rooms, swimming pool and few steps from the beach but it's not. We checked in late at night and the location is far from the beach, wifi is available at their Gazebo or lobby area with mosquitos.
-There are 2 different hotel branches, one is few steps from Alona beach proper with wifi in the rooms but no pool and the other one is their 2nd newer branch which is 1 tuktuk ride away from Alona beach proper no wifi in the rooms, wired internet isn't working but with swimming pool.
-I was upfront to the hotelier that I travel for work and measure and need all those amenities that were stated on the website, but the remedy they kept insisting is to move us to their other branch which is older, no pool with wifi in the room as they do not have the wifi nor wired internet in their room at their 2nd hotel and that we can just go their in the morning to use their pool 🤣
-No one from the hotel apologize, not even a Manager's shadow reachout
-Trip.com said sorry and provide compensation but it's not enough for the lost working hours due to the mosquito bites I had while I tried to work at the lobby but was not able to tolerate it as I am afraid of having Dengue, did not get anything from the hotel's management
-tricycle/tuktuk will cost you 100 pesos per way PRICEY
-we tried to walk to the beach as there is another route close to the 2nd hotel but the way is rocky and stairs were steep as it was meant for divers or island Hopper not the white strip that were posted on the website
-corkage fee so better to buy at the restaurant at the hotel or eat outside
**AGAIN THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT HOTEL BRANCH WITH DIFFERENT ADDRESSES AND AMENITIES, SO BE CAREFUL IN BOOKING ESPECIALLY IF YOU TRAVEL FOR WORK AND NEEDS WIFI IN THE ROOM.
