"A good, inexpensive hotel. Good value for the price. Everything is nearby: shops, cafes, and a beautiful sunset in the evenings."

📍 252V+9X2 Zuri Resort, Governor's Dr, Coron
★★★★★ 9.1 (325 reviews)

"Awesome hotel. We had the family room which had 2 double beds and 2 singles. For our family of 5 great. Kids loved the buffet breakfast. Plenty of tuk tuks out front if you want to go into town (5 mins) or airport (20 mins). There is 3 pools. We spent time at a different one each day. We had had a pretty full on trip beforehand so this was the perfect hotel to relax for a bit. Restaurant was good for dinner too. Lots of food options in town too. Good location to get to the port too for any day trips. Highly recommend."

The Dream Beach Resort

The Dream Beach Resort

📍 Sitio Lolokion, Poblacion, Taytay
★★★★ 8.7 (44 reviews)

"There is much to commend the Dream Resort: beautifully styled, generous public spaces - we loved the yoga pavilion, and the pool is larger than the pics suggest - and blessed with stunning ocean views. The villas are spacious, bed comfortable and firm, and private - no noisy hotel room neighbours here. A work desk and chair in the villa are lacking, especially as the wifi was generally much better in the room than the restaurant. Food was fair to good but nothing special. For some reason we found food in the Philippines to be generally bland compared to elsewhere in Southeast Asia; and we’ve travelled to all the ASEAN countries bar Brunei. The downside of the resort is that it’s fairly isolated. There’s very little in the way of alternative restaurants in Taytay. A new kid in town, Leonidas, is 10 minutes north, and a viable option for lunches and dinner - and proper coffee. One suggestion for the Dream team (😉) would be to have a water station in the restaurant or filled bottles at the bar ready for collection (as other places we stayed at did) as we found the need to have to find a staff member to fill our water bottle a little annoying. (Tap water is not potable in the Philippines outside Manila.) The gardens will delight birders. In addition to the ubiquitous Palawan sunbird we saw ioras, leafbirds, flowerpeckers, two kingfishers, amongst many others along the shore. And we loved walking out on to the extensive mudflats at low tide. Note, though, that the beach isn’t one for swimming. Staff were always welcoming and helpful. A few minor improvements would make it a 5-star boutique resort."

Amanpulo

"I was disappointed with the reservations specialist. Prior to booking we checked the weather and the whole week it did not look promising. so the guy who was in charge said the weather was good but he basically trapped us to paying 4 days and we Could not even get out of the hotel. So we decided to leave after a day and requested. For a refund. The entire crew from The island knew the weather was Not good. This type Of behavior is not acceptable and not very Professional especially for a 5 star hotel"

★★★ 8.6 (244 reviews)

"The Lime Resort was a great place to stay in El Nido. We stayed in the spacious Seaview room for 8 days, which provided a stunning view of the sea. The only improvement suggestion is that management update the room, as it showed signs of wear, including a misaligned drawer, torn curtains, and peeling floor tiles. Breakfast could also be enhanced, as it mainly offered processed foods. Nonetheless, the staff was very friendly and helpful."

Chindonan Dive and Beach Resort Hotels in Palawan

Chindonan Dive and Beach Resort

"Had an awesome stay at Chindonan Dive Resort. Best staging point for diving the Coron Bay wrecks with the shortest commute to the dive sites. Matt was a very knowledgeable guide and dive lead who gave us very clear briefs and managed the group well in terms of confidence and air consumption. I am a much more confident wreck diver as a result of our time here. Sometimes there are power dips, there is no shop so bring snacks if you need them and if you are fussy with water maybe bring a portable filter. None of these things were a concern to us. Will absolutely be back to this island paradise:) staff very friendly and did their best to accommodate us both diving and non diving. Highly recommend"

"A lovely hotel away from the hustle and bustle. The outside is a bit worn with the wood coming apart in some places and a large amount of birds who have nested in the walls making a lot of noise. Overall it was a nice hotel with accommodating staff."

S Resort El Nido - Newly Renovated

"We and my friend recommend a stay at S Resort! The service was great. They had contacts and booked all tours for us, cheaper than from Get Your Guide and so on. They came with recommendations for which beaches to go to get the best out of our stay, and also rent motorbikes for a cheap price with motorbikes being delivered to the resort. The rooms was clean and it was good AC in the room. Our room was towards the street, so you heard the people there. We always sleep with air plugs, so that was no problem."

El Nido Garden Resort Hotels in Palawan

El Nido Garden Resort

"We had a good time here and stayed a few days! Room was spacious and had everything needed and the shower was great and AC in the room was good too. Was on the 4th floor and had a great view!!! Breakfast was good and was a combination of western and Filipino and was enough. The town was easy to walk too from here eg less than 5-10mins and the townsquare was beside us. You can get a private van to airport for 1300 to 1500 pesos or get a tuktuk for 300 pesos. I wish they provided free bottle water but we just went into town to purchase."

Costa Palawan Resort Hotels in Palawan

Costa Palawan Resort

"The resort is a bit outdated, but still offers good service. Spacious clean room and bathroom, helpful staff, restaurant near the beach with seaview (nice breakfast), overall we had a good stay. The only problem was the high humidity, which was felt inside the rooms (a bit of moisture on the ceiling)."

Coron Westown Resort Hotels in Palawan

Coron Westown Resort

"This hotel was initially a nightmare. I booked 2 rooms through Trip for adults and the kids. Upon arrival, the hotel advised that one of the rooms had been cancelled and we only had one room. All my bookings were still showing in the Trip app so neither myself or Trip had cancelled anything. I contacted Trip and they were excellent and worked very hard, but unsuccessfully to get our room back... It was absolutely peak season and the room had been given to someone else. We were able to book a room Westown 2 nights later so the kids ended up staying at the hotel and us adults, luckily were able to find another hotel for 2 nights and then moved back to Westown hotel. When this issue occurred, I felt we were treated incredibly poorly by the hotel. They made it clear... If you book through a third party booking agency, the issue is with you..not our problem... Considering most of their bookings are probably through third parties, this attitude is poor. Once we moved back into the hotel for the remaining 3 days, the hotel facilities were good. Swimming pools were good. There was a cafe, couple of restaurants, and small gym. Location was 10 mins on a tricycle into the centre of town and there were always tricycles available. A shuttle was available to and from the airport. Negatives were as follows: - Hotel saying we cancelled one of our rooms even though we hadn't. Kids had to stay by themselves in the hotel. - Hotel didn't care less about us because we made the booking through a 3rd party. - Disappointing that probably 50% of the menu foods were not available in the Filipino restaurant while we were there...usual excuse of supplier issues was always given."

"Beautiful resort, just like a beautiful dream. Staff's willingness to serve makes this place more attractive and comfortable. They try to do everything in their control to make guest's stay memorable. Small team but 100% efforts. We love everything about this resort and highly recommend to everyone even vegetarians. Just one thing wants to mention that you should be physically fit to walk around the resort. We will go back again."

Amanpulo ★★★★★
"We never imagined we would say this, but this is the first Aman experience we did not entirely fall in love with.m Three important contexts shaped our stay at Amanpulo. (i) Timing, we visited during one of the busiest periods, with the resort operating at or near full occupancy. This may well explain some of what we observed. At Aman’s level, personalization and intuitive attentiveness are not luxuries — they are the defining hallmarks. During our stay, however, these felt diluted. Some facilities we consider essential — such as the steam room and cold plunge — were fully booked for days, making access impossible. Moments of “surprise and delight,” which at this tier of hospitality should feel instinctive rather than exceptional, were largely absent. The simple magic of, “we noticed you enjoyed this yesterday,” never quite materialized. Minor yet recurring lapses — in housekeeping, breakfast orders, and internal communications — occurred over three consecutive days. Individually small, collectively noticeable. (ii) The team. Many of the people we encountered are relatively new to the resort, at least by Aman standards. And yet, this is where our optimism lies. Every interaction revealed promise — receptiveness to feedback, genuine warmth, and a growing affection for the brand. Aman is not merely a set of SOPs; it is a philosophy rooted in storytelling and intuition, in making guests feel understood rather than serviced. That depth cannot be trained overnight. If this is a teething phase, the foundations are certainly there for something exceptional to re-emerge. (iii) The casitas. They remain immaculate and timeless in design. However, thoughtful modernization is essential. Navigating light switches and temperature controls in the dark feels at odds with contemporary expectations; integrated tablet controls would significantly elevate the in-room experience. We understand enhancements are already in motion — another promising sign for the resort’s next chapter. And yet, what makes this reflection nuanced — we genuinely cherished much of our time on the island. Conversations with the team felt authentic and unfiltered. We caught glimpses of island life, of both its beauty and its challenges, which made the experience feel meaningful rather than manufactured. The activities were superb, and the natural setting remains utterly singular — serene, cinematic, and profoundly special. Amanpulo is still a place we would recommend to anyone seeking something extraordinary. As for us, we may well return — but next time, we would choose a quieter season, when the full poetry of Aman can once again be felt without restraint."

"Excellent stay at Lihim near El Nido. We loved the location and ability to take boats to El Nido. The food was average, however, the butler service was outstanding! We also enjoyed the view from our Villa. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone coming to El Nido. Not for people who cannot climb stairs."

"We had a pleasant stay overall, but there were a few downsides. The queen-sized bed was quite small for two adults. Breakfast was standard Filipino fare—good thanks to the freshly cooked eggs, but lacking variety as there was no yogurt or muesli, just cornflakes. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and the large, warm swimming pool was fantastic after island hopping. My biggest complaint is the beach chair policy. Non-guests are allowed to use them without buying drinks. One day, a large family of 12 took over most of the shaded chairs to eat their own food, and no staff stepped in to manage the situation. It was a bit of a pity, but we still enjoyed our time."
