I highly recommend the massage shop next door – it offers excellent value for money and is a million times better than those in Bangkok."

"This hotel just opened a few days ago, and I'm incredibly impressed! All the staff, including the housekeepers and maintenance, were very pleasant. First off, the parking lot is spacious and can accommodate many cars. There's a snack bar and a cafe, plus a communal fitness center. The cafe prices are reasonable and affordable. The hotel has an elevator, and the lobby air conditioning is blissfully cool 24/7. The room was unbelievably clean!!!! The bed was large, there was a TV, the AC was cool, and all the amenities were complete and convenient. There's even a hairdryer, which is great for women. My impressive experience: - The staff spoke well and offered advice without rushing guests. - The housekeepers were friendly and always greeted me whenever we met. - When the coin-operated dryer machine had an issue, maintenance was ready to support 24/7. The problem was solved in less than 10 minutes. - The cafe drinks were delicious and very well-priced!!! - The staff paid attention to all guests and were very kind; I even got a banana to eat. - The hostel was very quiet and peaceful, perfect for those looking to relax. - Overall, I will definitely come back again."

"The facilities are new and very clean. The rooms have high ceilings, which adds to the spaciousness and comfort. The breakfast selection is abundant, and it became our daily routine to take a stroll to the beach after a satisfying meal. The staff members were also very kind; they quickly noticed if we were lost and helped guide us. Although the convenience store is far and it's a bit difficult to visit without a car, the unique atmosphere of The Standard Hotel is truly captivating. We will definitely visit again."

"The extra bed costs 1000 THB/night. The two front desk staff who checked us in on the first night were fantastic. Their tone was calm and made us feel welcome. The breakfast restaurant staff and pool staff were also very enthusiastic and polite. 👍👍👍 I have to specifically mention a gentleman with glasses on the second day, who seemed to be a front desk manager or some kind of management. His attitude was cold, his service was impatient, and he provided poor service – the negative review is specifically for him. How can such a manager motivate the management team and staff? I hope the hotel GM provides more SOP training."

"The hotel's location is great, and the room is bright and clean, but there's a strong drain smell. It's convenient having a 7-Eleven and Best Mart right next to the hotel. Also, with Siam Commercial Bank right beside it, it should be handy for those who use Woori Bank. I stayed on the second floor, so I'm not sure if the drain smell is an issue on higher floors. Because of the drain smell, I'd probably think twice about staying here again."

"Pros of this hotel: excellent location, with literally everything nearby – 7/11, street food stalls, pharmacy, laundry, cafes, massage, beauty salons. The room was cleaned daily, and they provided water and fresh towels. Cons: The bed was terribly uncomfortable with a spring mattress where you could feel and hear the springs every time you turned. The bed linen was torn and should have been thrown out or used as rags; some even had holes. The sheets were yellow from age instead of white. There were no proper blankets, just some washed-out rags that offered no warmth, and no duvet covers. They wrapped this rag-like 'blanket' between two sheets, like a sandwich. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. The pillows were old and lumpy inside, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. Every morning after sleeping, I had neck and shoulder pain, and headaches. When I asked for new pillows, they brought us the exact same ones, or possibly even the original ones, so basically, they weren't changed. The area is relatively quiet, but sometimes you might be kept awake by barking dogs. Also, there are many Indian guests in this hotel who loudly shout and slam doors starting from 6 AM. The breakfasts are not good, so it’s better not to book this hotel with breakfast included. In the restaurant, the Indian guests are very loud, and there’s no decent food left for anyone else because they sweep everything away like locusts. Another huge downside is that the air conditioner is located directly opposite the bed and blows cold air right into your face. My child and I got sick the day after checking into this hotel. The water was very cold, so you couldn't take a proper shower in the evening, only a quick dip."

"I chose a studio apartment. No balcony. I got the 39th floor, with a sea view from the window stretching from the 'Pattaya City' sign all the way north. It's a 10-minute walk to the pier and 15 minutes to Walking Street. A Seven-Eleven is 5 minutes away. I liked the apartment; there are some flaws, of course, but they're easy to overlook. On the 41st floor and somewhere in the middle floors, there's a kind of observation area with greenery, where you can relax and look at the sparkling city. On the 6th floor, there's a small pool, chest-deep. There are 4 synchronized elevators, but you have to wait a lot because there are so many people. Outside, there's a medium-sized pool with a lifeguard; it's not crowded, and swimming is comfortable. There's one water slide. There are sun loungers and tables, some under trees and some in the sun. You can check in early, and the linen and towels are clean. Smoking is only allowed in one designated area on the property. Drinking is only allowed in the room or off-property. Regarding the sea – there's nowhere to swim nearby. Pattaya Beach is a 20-minute walk, but the sea is dirty, though not dirtier than Sochi, so swimming is generally possible. Overall, for 2,000 rubles, it's a great option. You can go to Koh Larn for swimming, and it's not far from the center. It took me about an hour to walk to Terminal 21, but a moto-taxi is 20 baht, and a tuk-tuk is 15."

"Fantastic hotel! The rooms are clean and tidy, and all the staff are very friendly. The owner is usually around during the day and is happy to help with booking tickets or arranging island tours. They're incredibly nice and will even give you a ride wherever you want to go! It's in a residential area, so there are snack stalls in the morning which are great. Since I was with my mom, we opted to eat dinner at the hotel's ground-floor restaurant. The food was delicious and perfect for Chinese palates! The beach is just a stone's throw away... an excellent location!"
