"This was my third stay here, and unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my previous experiences. The hotel still boasts many positives, like its excellent facilities and family-friendly focus. However, I felt a noticeable dip in service quality compared to my earlier visits. Two minor changes stood out to me and left a negative impression: 1. Firstly, plastic slippers are no longer provided in the rooms; instead, guests are required to purchase them at the front desk. What's the logic behind this? Considering your hotel specializes in water-based entertainment, are you really expecting guests without their own flip-flops/water shoes to buy them on the spot? Every other family-friendly hotel of this caliber includes plastic slippers as a standard amenity. 2. Secondly, there was no separate energy-saving key card in the room. This meant the room was uncomfortably hot when we first entered. Previously, a dedicated power card was always provided in addition to the two room key cards. This is a basic feature that comparable hotels always offer."

"Overall I had a good stay at Mood Hotel Pattaya. The best part is definitely the location—just a short walk to the beach and close to attractions. Easy access to convenience stores, food, and transportation. The hotel decoration looks nice too with all the smiley faces. My room was a bit small but fine for one person. The only downsides were the view, which faced an inside courtyard and felt a bit dark, and some ant issues. I left a couple of pastries out, and they were completely covered by ants in no time! Just a tip: keep your food in the fridge to avoid that!"

"Akara Hotel Pattaya is incredible! Perfect location, close to terminal 21 and 8 min walk to the beach. The Stella suite is gorgeous, I could stay here forever lol. Beautiful views in the suite end of course at the roof top pool. Breakfast has many options to choose from and so does the buffet in the evening. Maybe room service could be improved with vegetarian options and vegan and add a larger gym...I highly recommend you stay here! I would come back for sure if back in Pattaya."

"This place is great if you’re on a self-driving trip. It’s quiet and relaxing, though there’s no convenience store nearby. The property has two buildings. I stayed in the back one, but I’m not sure which is newer. Overall, the building is quite nice. I did run into a problem during check-in when they couldn’t find my booking confirmation, but Trip.com handled it quickly and efficiently—big thumbs up for their customer service. The room was comfortable and even had a bathtub. However, like many other reviewers mentioned, the bathroom water system is a real downside. The temperature control is poor—you either get scalding hot or very cold water, and the bathtub water never gets hot enough. Facilities are solid: there are two swimming pools with clean, clear water, plus a gym with good equipment and a sauna. Breakfast is buffet-style with a decent range, from western breads to Asian stir-fried vegetables. But the drink options are limited. For milk, they only provide regular fresh milk—no alternatives. There’s an egg station and a soup station. I asked for a sunny side up, but the chef said they only make omelets, which was a bit strange. At least the omelet was tasty. Overall, breakfast was just okay—acceptable but not very impressive. All in all, it’s a nice hotel to relax at for a holiday. Hopefully, they improve the hot water system soon. Definitely a good choice if you’re traveling by car. but bathroom water system is disappointing me! Otherwise, rating is gonna be high ;)) way to go~"

"The hotel’s spacious but a little bit old and the hallway smelled a little unpleasant for me. However, i like the bathroom and the staff were so nice and helpful. I asked for the restaurant recommendation and they always offered help throughout the stay. The most impressive thing is i forgot my charger in the hotel room and they delivered it to me in Bangkok without extra charge. The overall is great!!!"

"I had a day's break in my stay. Upon checking in again, I was informed that my previous check-out hadn't been processed, which caused a slight delay. Despite that, it was just as good as my last visit. I was surprised to find they had a DJ playing at night. However, the excellent soundproofing meant the music didn't bother me at all, thanks to the sealed windows in the room."

"Super nice staff and can call us to check in ealier when the room is ready. Amazing water park, with lots of slides. The floats provided in the water park for adults and kids raised the enjoyment. The free activity- aqua dance & pool game are also good!"

"## Jomtien Thani Hotel ### 1. Location Jomtien Thani Hotel is situated on Jomtien Beach, in the southern part of Pattaya, offering a much quieter atmosphere compared to the bustling Walking Street and bar areas. In the mornings, the beachfront promenade comes alive with tourists speed-walking, strolling, and jogging, creating a vibrant and energetic seaside scene. The beach is a mere three-minute walk from the hotel entrance. The surrounding area boasts numerous massage parlors, restaurants, and bars, with a 7-Eleven also conveniently close by, making it an extremely convenient location. A taxi to Walking Street costs approximately 60 THB, and to the northernmost Sanctuary of Truth, it's about 100 THB. ### 2. Room Facilities The room facilities are quite new, and indeed, the entire hotel feels recently updated; thankfully, there's no lingering smell of formaldehyde from renovations. The bed was very clean and comfortable, ensuring sound sleep during my 5-day stay. I booked a pool-view room, which offered a great vantage point, allowing me to often hear the joyful sounds of children playing in the pool from my balcony. The bathroom was spacious enough to easily arrange toiletries. A lovely blue woven beach bag is thoughtfully provided for guests to use. The complimentary tea was excellent, Taining brand, and very pleasant to drink. ### 3. Common Areas The main common area is the swimming pool, located on the fourth floor, featuring both a deep end and a shallow children's area. You can conveniently order food and drinks by the poolside, and the loungers were notably clean and comfortable. ### 4. Biggest Highlights The hotel shines with its new facilities, a well-designed room layout (which meant ample space for luggage without feeling cramped), and a suitably sized bathroom, all contributing to excellent value for money. The breakfast was superb, a truly exceptional offering, especially considering the hotel's price range of around 300-400 [currency, likely THB] per night. ### 5. Breakfast Review For coffee lovers, there are two machines: one for traditional coffee and another for various specialty milk teas. The fresh fruit was exceptionally sweet, and the pastry selection varied daily. There was a good variety of delicious meat dishes, with new options introduced every day. The restaurant is quite spacious, so you won't have to wait for a table. ### 6. Summary I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends, and it's definitely a place I would choose again if I revisit the area. An excellent value-for-money hotel."

"Been there for 10 days. Had to change rooms many times cause of problems with the room. Then I said if I get a good room I’ll book more days. The man at the reception promised me that but they did not contact me anymore for another room. Disappointed with that and I was to tired to keep going and tell them what’s wrong so I slept the extra 3 days in a room where the remote of the tv did not work properly. I was sick so stayed at the hotel for the most time and then it’s very irritating when you wanna watch proper tv. Bad luck I guess. Room looks good but they don’t clean the wall tiles in the shower and the sink or not good enough cause you can see the limescale and mole in the bathroom. If they did that and listen to what’s wrong with the room it would be a 8 of 9 out of 10"
