The location is excellent, right outside Futian Port, and easily accessible on foot. The surroundings are convenient, with a subway station nearby, and plenty of small eateries and shops at the intersection. There's also a bus station for services to Zhongshan and Shenzhen Airport. The room is very spacious; we had a twin room, and each bed felt big enough for two people, with ample space between the beds and the walls. Each bedside has USB and power outlets, which is incredibly convenient, and the hotel even provides a free triple-head USB charging cable. The room includes a small sofa, a table and chairs, and a mini-fridge, meeting all our needs. The generous space allowed us to open two large suitcases flat on the floor without any issues. The bathroom has a shower, plastic slippers, and a hairdryer. A thoughtful touch was a small tip sheet listing many items available for loan, such as study supplies, facial cleanser, sanitary pads, and a sewing kit. There's a self-service laundry room on the second floor, which appeared to offer washing and drying services based on the pictures, but we didn't use it. The only downsides were a particularly small sink with weak water pressure, and one ceiling light and one bedside pendant lamp not working.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied. We stayed at a hotel near the border crossing in advance of our trip to Hong Kong, which was very convenient for crossing early in the morning and getting ahead of the queues.
The check-in experience could be improved slightly. There weren't many staff members at the reception when we checked in during the afternoon, so we had to wait quite a while, but their service and responsiveness to complaints were excellent.
While the room wasn't brand new (understandable given its age), it was clean, and the housekeeping staff did a fantastic job.

The hotel's location is great, with plenty of dining options nearby, which is really convenient. It's also not far from the subway station, and there's a night market close by. The room was very clean and comfortably furnished, with all the essentials. They even provided a fridge and washing machine, which was very practical. Don't stay in the rooms behind the bookstore; the washing machine next door is super loud at night. The breakfast isn't good, so eat out instead. The front desk on the first floor has a guesthouse kind of vibe, haha. You'd be much happier with the rooms on the second or third floor. What do you expect for 500 RMB during a holiday? It's close to Futian Port, about a 20-minute drive. Consider parking at the hotel; it's 60 RMB for a day.

Came with a friend and we were so happy with the twin room we booked! The two beds were spaced perfectly, making it easy to chat without disturbing each other. The room was bigger than we expected; we could open both our suitcases with plenty of space left over, which saved us so much time. The location is right in the heart of the commercial district – downstairs there are bubble tea shops and trendy restaurants, so we weren't worried about coming back late even after shopping until 11 PM. The front desk staff even recommended a night market frequented by locals, and we had an amazing time eating there. We had such a comfortable stay and a great time playing around. We'll definitely choose this hotel again for our next trip!

My friend came to visit, and I booked them a room at Chutian. The location is absolutely fantastic, really close to my place, making getting around super easy. It's in the CBD commercial district, right across from the exhibition center, so there are tons of great options for food, drinks, and entertainment. The room itself is spacious with an expansive view. It's definitely the best choice for your trip, and the price is excellent too! Plus, there's a Luckin Coffee in the lobby downstairs.

MMasonmanThis stay was at the Intercity Hotel Futian Huanggang in Shenzhen. The room was comfortable, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, and the Huazhu TV cast screen feature was very convenient. The bed was just the right balance of soft and firm. The hotel service was excellent; the staff were friendly and promptly offered water upon arrival. The mini-fridge was stocked with Coke and dark beer, and the delivery robots for room service and takeout were efficient. Overall, it offered great value for money and a very good hotel experience. The breakfast selection was extensive, with plenty of cold dishes and a wide variety of hot food. I'd say it's among the best for this type of hotel, and I definitely enjoyed a hearty meal. The location is very convenient, situated in the central Futian area, close to the subway and train station, making it ideal for business travelers. It's also a good choice for tourists visiting Shenzhen, as most places are accessible by subway.

Reina’s genuine smile and warm, generous service made a real difference. She handled check-in efficiently and thoroughly, proactively asking about my preferences and arranging the room accordingly – truly thoughtful. The room itself was spacious, exquisitely decorated with great style. The bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were excellent, making a relaxing bath super enjoyable. Throughout my stay, Reina provided attentive follow-up, promptly responding to and resolving all my inquiries and ad-hoc requests with full professionalism. The hotel’s overall environment is upscale, the service standards are high, and the breakfast offers a rich variety of quality options. A big shout-out to Reina – JW Marriott will definitely be my first choice for future trips!

- Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre.
- Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far).
- Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes.
- Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too.
- Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do.
After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services.
- Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly.
- Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi.
Cons
The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms:
1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms.
2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking.
3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time.
It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard.
I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself.
Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

GGuest UserI was unexpectedly stranded at Shenzhen North (Shenzhenbei) during the busy holiday season and urgently needed a place to stay. After comparing several listings on Trip.com, this hostel stood out based on its reviews, and it fully lived up to my expectations.
The photos are accurate and reflect the property exactly as it is. The host prepared the bed sheets and pillowcases right in front of me, which immediately reassured me about the cleanliness. Everything was spotless and well maintained. Cleanliness is one of my top priorities when choosing accommodation because I value my health, and I felt completely comfortable staying here. I saw no pests or anything unhygienic, so if you’re concerned about that, you can rest easy.
The host speaks basic English and was very welcoming. Since I had just traveled from Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen North, he even kindly offered to show me around the area. There are plenty of food options nearby, I enjoyed Lanzhou noodles and stinky tofu just steps from the building.
For clarification, the hostel is located inside an apartment building and operates in a dorm-style setup. Shoes are removed at the entrance, and guest slippers are provided. There is a comfortable common area with a sofa and dining table, free drinking water, and complimentary toiletries including a toothbrush and disposable towel, which was especially helpful since I had forgotten to pack one. The bathroom is modern and equipped with a Western-style sit-down toilet.
Each bed has its own privacy curtain and personal light, which I appreciated. There are also power outlets conveniently located at each bed. Wi-Fi worked smoothly without any issues, and free laundry is available, which is a great bonus for travelers.
There are designated quiet hours, so you can sleep comfortably. During my stay, it was peaceful and no one snored. The host even asked whether I snore, which shows he is considerate of all guests.
The other guests were polite and respectful. I was the only foreigner staying there, and the rest were Chinese travelers who were likely in the same situation, unable to secure train tickets that night. The property is non-smoking, which I also appreciated.
The only minor downside is for taller guests. I am 183 cm (6 ft), and I had to curl up slightly since the bed length appears to be around 180 cm. It was manageable, but something to keep in mind if you’re tall.
The location is very convenient. It’s next to the train station, and you can easily take the subway if you have luggage. It only cost me 2 RMB to ride, so there’s really no need to take a taxi. In the morning, I bought pork steamed buns and soy milk from a nearby vendor, he was friendly, and the food was great.
For $4, this was outstanding value. If you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and convenient place to stay near Shenzhen North, this is an excellent option. Hopefully this review helps anyone considering staying in the area.

老板会说一些基础英语，人也非常热情。我刚从香港机场来到深圳北，他还主动提出可以带我熟悉一下周边环境。楼下和附近有很多吃的，我就在旁边吃了兰州拉面和臭豆腐，非常方便。
这家青旅位于一栋公寓楼内，是宿舍式布局。进门需要脱鞋，店家会提供室内拖鞋。公共区域有沙发和餐桌，提供免费饮用水，还有一次性牙刷和毛巾。我旅行时忘记带毛巾，这点对我来说非常贴心。卫生间是现代化的马桶，不需要蹲厕。
每个床位都有隐私帘和独立照明灯，床位旁边也有插座。Wi-Fi 信号稳定，没有任何问题。另外还提供免费洗衣服务，这对旅行者来说是很大的加分项。
店内有安静时间规定，所以晚上可以安心休息。我入住期间非常安静，也没有人打呼噜。老板还特意问我会不会打呼噜，可见他很照顾每位客人的感受。
其他住客都很礼貌、很安静。我是唯一的外国人，其他客人都是中国旅客，可能和我一样，当晚没买到火车票才临时入住。这里是无烟环境，我很喜欢这一点。
唯一的小缺点是对高个子来说床可能稍短。我身高183厘米（6英尺），需要稍微蜷着睡。床长大概180厘米左右，高个子可以提前考虑一下。不过整体来说还是可以接受的。
地理位置非常方便，就在火车站旁边。如果带行李，可以直接坐地铁到附近，我只花了2元人民币，完全没必要打车。第二天早上，我在附近买了猪肉包子和豆浆，老板也很友善，味道不错。

Facilities: The large shower head was very comfortable, and the hot water came on quickly. The smart toilet was a nice convenience. They even provided bath bags for the bathtub. The pool was clean, and the poolside bar had a great vibe at night. There's also a robot that delivers takeaways.
Service: Every staff member I encountered was incredibly warm and friendly. The front desk was very professional and even gave us sand-digging tools. They upgraded our room type, and everyone would proactively greet us when we came and went. The new lady at the front desk had a very friendly smile. On the morning of April 9th, the housekeeping auntie on the 3rd floor was exceptionally good; she immediately provided anything guests needed and was very enthusiastic.
The hotel is right across from an outlet mall, which makes dining and shopping very convenient. Next time I'm in Dameisha, I will definitely stay here again.

Ccircle920As the best hotel in Shenzhen, it truly lives up to expectations. Although it opened several years ago, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bedding and bath products are very thoughtfully chosen, and the welcome tea and snacks were a nice touch. The afternoon tea selection might not be huge, but it's very refined and tastes excellent. I particularly want to mention breakfast – the eggs Benedict were perfectly made, and the braised beef noodles were incredibly authentic. The fresh coconuts also met the high standards you'd expect from a luxury hotel.
However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. When we arrived at our room, we found the door wide open and a man sitting on the sofa! Luckily, a staff member was passing by in the hallway. For someone who has stayed in many ultra-luxury hotels worldwide, it's quite unacceptable for a Mandarin Oriental to make such a basic mistake. This was truly a first for me, and I hope the hotel takes this seriously!

The entire check-in process was very smooth, without any lengthy or complicated procedures, which made the experience very comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade, which was a very thoughtful touch. When I provided feedback on a small detail, the issue was addressed and improved very promptly. You can really tell that the hotel is genuinely dedicated to providing excellent service, not just going through the motions. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Futian.
