Kiyomizu-dera Temple
RRandomstuffsgKiyomizudera in Kyoto offers a stunning view during December, with vibrant red autumn leaves framing the temple’s architecture. As the sun sets, the warm golden light enhances the fiery colors of the foliage, creating a peaceful and unforgettable atmosphere. Watching the sunset here is a perfect moment to appreciate the beauty of nature.
Shijo Kawaramachi
MMiasmileRemember 2019.11 Kansai Late Autumn Festival~ I chose to stay at the Selestine Hotel because it is very close to the most lively and prosperous Shijo Heyuan in Kyoto. You don’t have to worry about shopping and eating every day. You only need to walk for ten minutes to find the four Heyuan. There are major department stores, Fujii Daimaru Department Store, Takashimaya and so on. There are also many brand counters with independent facades, which are really good for shopping. There are naturally many choices for food, ramen, roast meat, sushi, and you can choose. It is also an important transportation hub, and buses and subways to many attractions must be taken nearby.
Gion
AAdielfgGion is a super magical district. It is very close to the main temples and pagodas. Try to catch the sunset and get lost in the small alleys to get some amazing pictures.
Arashiyama
MMoonloverArashiyama is famous for Bamoboo grove. The entrance is free and the whole area is changing throughout the season. Absolutely beautiful
Kamo River
徐徐团The Kamo River is a scenic spot in Kyoto, Japan, and is also a 31-kilometer-long first-class river representing Kyoto. The water of this river is very clear and flows through the center of Kyoto.
Since the end of the Heian period, the river beach has become a place for execution. In modern times, it has become a center of drama. During the Kanbun period (1661-73), a Kabuki theater appeared here.
It is not far from Hanami-koji. We walked along Hanami-koji and walked along Shijo-dori (there are all kinds of businesses along the way) to here.
We came to the vicinity of Shijo Bridge. The scenery here is good. Although it is in a busy city, it has a rare tranquility.
Sannenzaka & Ninenzaka
UuztzuzThe famous Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka scenic spots in Higashiyama District, Kyoto, Japan. These two slopes were built in the early 9th century and have a long history of more than a thousand years. The quaint Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka attract tourists from all over the world to visit and travel. There are many historical and cultural relics and old shops here. Fushimi Inari Taisha
NNickolas CMy favorite site in all of Kyoto. The place is huge and the hike itself is more than 2 hours. There are lots and lots of torii. The place is popular but up there the more you go, the less busy it is.
Kyoto Tower
IitszxKyoto Tower provides a decent view of the city area, but while it is lacking in height, it does provide various views that are unique to the tower only. Free telescopes are provided to get a closer look to the different unique structures around the city, from the statue of Guanyin to the various shrines. All of them are clearly visible with the help of the telescopes. For the price, it was a decent stop. Stayed here for around 45mins-1hr.
Kinkaku-ji
HHotelstayerNice looking temple in Kyoto but it is a bit touristy. It costs 500 yen to enter the site. It is not very big. You can take pictures from different angles.
